Chapter 332 Returning to Qing Dao Guan

The weekend.

Fang Miaomiao lay in the RV.

The car drove quickly towards the suburbs.

Wen Yan'an stared out at the scenery, his eyes filled with unspeakable joy.

"An'an, you can't stick your head out of the car window," Yu Zhi reminded him.

"Mmm-hmm," Wen Yan'an nodded obediently. "Little Zhi jie, don't worry, I won't stick my head out. It's dangerous."

"What a good child."

Fang Miaomiao watched Wen Yan'an's well-behaved demeanor and didn't say anything.

Originally, she had planned to finish filming at Qingdao Temple this weekend and then go home. Who knew Wen Yan'an would look at her pleadingly, insisting on accompanying her to the film crew.

"Mama, aren't you going to sleep?"

"No," Fang Miaomiao shook her head. "We're almost there."

She needed to stay awake, otherwise, her state wouldn't be good.

The car quickly stopped at the foot of Qingdao Temple mountain.

"Hello, Fang laoshi. I'm Xi Hui, sent by Director Chai to pick you up. You can call me Xiao Xi." Xi Hui took the suitcase from Yu Zhi. "Hello, I'll take it."

"Thank you," Yu Zhi bowed and thanked him.

"You're welcome. This is what I should do," Xi Hui said with a bright smile. "Hello, little friend An'an."

"Does Brother Xi know me?"

"Of course, little friend An'an is so cute, we definitely know each other."

After saying thank you to Xi Hui, Wen Yan'an, his face blushing, ran to Fang Miaomiao's side and held her hand. "Mama, I was praised."

"An'an is so cute, many people will like you."

Wen Yan'an nodded heavily. "An'an will be good. I want to climb the stairs with Mama."

Fang Miaomiao raised an eyebrow: Is there a possibility that I never intended to carry An'an up the stairs?

It's so long, if I have to carry him up, I'll be exhausted.

"Mama, what are you playing today? Can An'an watch from the side?"

"An'an will stay with Little Zhi jie. Just don't run around in your seat."

"Okay," Wen Yan'an nodded obediently. "I'll watch Mama act from my seat."

When they reached the mountainside, the film crew's set had been mostly constructed.

"Fang laoshi, come in this way."

Since it was an early stage and many scenes were fixed, there weren't many staff members in Qingdao Temple.

"Fang Miaomiao, right? I'm Chai Yan, the director of this production."

The speaker was a middle-aged woman who looked kindly at Fang Miaomiao. "I saw your videos online and thought you were quite suitable for our role, so I contacted your agent."

"I know. Thank you, Director Chai, for giving me this opportunity."

Chai Yan became more satisfied the more she looked. "Happy cooperation. Go to the makeup room to get ready. How is your script reading going?"

"It's going well."

"Go ahead."

Wen Yan'an's big eyes darted around, filled with curiosity.

"An'an?"

"Hello, Director," Wen Yan'an bowed politely.

"Good child, Xi Hui, do you have any candy?"

"Yes."

"Thank you, Director Chai. However, An'an can't eat candy." A hint of hesitation appeared on Wen Yan'an's little face.

"Why?" Chai Yan's heart softened as she saw his conflicted expression. "Candy is delicious."

Wen Yan'an still shook his head. "Thank you, Director Chai, but Daddy said An'an will get cavities and can't eat too much candy."

"Cavities?" Chai Yan was stunned at first, then quickly understood. "So that's how it is. Okay, then you go and sit properly with Yu Zhi over there. There are props here, be careful not to trip, understand?"

"Mmm-hmm, thank you, Director Chai."

"Go on."

Sitting on a small stool, Wen Yan'an watched the busy people coming and going around him.

So this is how the shows on TV are made.

"Little Zhi jie."

"What is it?"

"When will the scene Mama filmed last time be shown on TV?"

"It's still a long way off, An'an. Don't worry. Besides, Miaomiao jie is filming a movie, and the production cycle is quite long. It'll probably be around the Chinese New Year period."

Yu Zhi looked a bit worried when she said this, wondering what Director Chen was thinking, watching a zombie movie during Chinese New Year. It gave her a headache.

Wen Yan'an nodded and took out a book from his small backpack to read.

"What am I seeing?"

"It's a fairy, it's a fairy! Damn, I finally know why Fang Miaomiao still had a group of loyal fans when she was being blackmailed online. Those loyal fans must have been drawn in by Fang Miaomiao's looks."

"Seriously, Fang Miaomiao has been slandered for so long, with all sorts of scandals, but I've never seen anyone criticize her face. That Taoist robe looks so elegant on her."

"Wuwuwu, my heart is beating so fast, Mama, save me, I've fallen for a married woman."

"Not bad," Chai Yan also looked at Fang Miaomiao with a smile. "Mao Tong's recommendation was indeed good."

"Thank you, Director Chai," Fang Miaomiao leaned against the door, her crescent eyebrows slightly raised, appearing nonchalant yet possessing an inexplicable ethereal charm.

"The actor she's performing with today is a young actor," Chai Yan instructed with some concern. "She's a cute child star, let's be a little more patient, shall we?"

"Okay," Fang Miaomiao readily agreed.

Chai Yan looked around and her eyes lit up. She beckoned towards a spot. "Xixi, come here, this way."

Fang Miaomiao raised an eyebrow: This child looks familiar.

"It's her, Xixi. Don't let her young age fool you, she's acted in quite a few TV shows. This time, the producer is making her the protagonist for a 'cute baby' themed production."

"Auntie An'an," Xixi's eyes lit up when she saw Fang Miaomiao. "Hello."

"Hello, Xixi."

"Do you two know each other?" Chai Yan asked, puzzled.

Xixi nodded vigorously. "Yes, An'an's son is in the same class as me. Auntie An'an, where is An'an?"

"He's gone to the restroom."

"Auntie An'an, after filming, can I play with An'an?"

Fang Miaomiao nodded.

Seeing that they were getting along well, Chai Yan breathed a sigh of relief. "Then why don't you run through your lines? I'll go check on the set. Once it's finalized, we can start shooting today's first scene."

"Okay."

During the subsequent line rehearsal, Fang Miaomiao looked at Xixi with a hint of surprise and admiration. Not for any other reason, but because the child was intelligent and had memorized large chunks of dialogue.

Although it wasn't very smooth, it was far superior to the "Mr. Numbers" and "Miss Numbers."

"You're amazing," Fang Miaomiao praised her sincerely.

Xixi's eyes curved into a smile. "I love acting. I can experience different characters within it. Auntie An'an, do you like acting too?"

Fang Miaomiao nodded and then shook her head.

Xixi didn't understand why she shook her head.

"Unfortunately, I don't know either," Fang Miaomiao shook her head.

"You're an adult. Do adults also have things they don't understand? My dad knows everything. So you're not as smart as my dad," Xixi said with a touch of smugness. "My dad is the best."

"Of course, there are so many problems in the world, and not everyone can figure them out. How does your dad's intelligence have anything to do with us?"

Xixi looked towards the source of the voice behind her, and her eyes lit up. "An'an, why are you here?"
