Chapter 556: Flower World
Lin Murong felt that he was not cut out for this Flower World; he was not meant to survive in it.
There were some sauces here that, no matter how you looked at them, were clearly not meant to be dipped in dumplings.
But Lin Murong was just about to do that.
As for these sauces, Su Yinhe felt she had prepared herself sufficiently.
However, when she saw Lin Murong dipping his dumplings in tomato sauce, her brain just couldn’t quite catch up.
Su Yinhe thought Lin Murong might have some serious illness.
Dumplings with tomato sauce, could that be a pairing a human could come up with?
Lin Murong...
Perhaps he really wasn’t human after all.
Su Yinhe watched as Lin Murong dipped his dumplings in tomato sauce and put them in his mouth with an expression of pure enjoyment, and the thought uncontrollably sprang to her mind.
"Is it tasty?" Su Yinhe couldn’t help herself and finally blurted out.
"Tasty? It’s delicious. Absolutely splendid," Lin Murong’s eyes shone as he passed over both the tomato sauce and dumplings.
"Galaxy, you must try this."
Su Yinhe looked at the dumplings and tomato sauce handed to her and swallowed her saliva.
"No thanks, you eat it. I won’t fight you for it." She felt she couldn’t try it, she was a normal person, a very normal person with a very normal palate.
He could keep that dumplings-with-tomato-sauce to himself.
"What’s there to fight over? There’s plenty more," Lin Murong grabbed another plate of dumplings.
He was determined to make Su Yinhe try it.
Su Yinhe: "No, no, no, I don’t like that. Go ahead, you eat. I’m stuffed." Su Yinhe rubbed her belly as a gentle refusal.
Actually, she had only eaten to about eighty percent full and could have eaten more.
But she really didn’t want to try it.
"Alright then," Lin Murong looked dejected but his gaze brightened again when he saw Chi Yan beside him.
"Brother Chi, would you like to..."
"Scram."
"Oh."
Chi Yan rejected Lin Murong with just one word, coolly.
Cool enough to make Su Yinhe envious.
She reflected on whether she was too meek when she rejected others and thought she should learn from Chi Yan.
Look at how decisive that rejection was.
It also prevented unnecessary entanglements.
She really liked that.
Lin Murong was still eating his dumplings; he had finished a plate of dumplings using his unique dipping method, and then he turned his attention to the mayonnaise.
Dipping dumplings in mayonnaise, in salad dressing, in satay sauce, in sesame paste, in sugar, dipping dumplings in...
Su Yinhe watched, utterly dumbfounded, Lin Murong was incredible, savoring every bite no matter what sauce he dipped in.
She was curious, what kind of dip would make Lin Murong unable to eat?
Lin Murong’s appetite was formidable.
Formidably scary even.
"Stop looking." Chi Yan covered her eyes; Galaxy had been watching Lin Murong, and he was getting a bit upset.
He knew he was being a bit too domineering, but he couldn’t help himself.
He had been restraining himself, but he just couldn’t do it.
"Alright, alright, I won’t look, won’t look." Su Yinhe’s hand reached up and pulled his hand down.
"I’ll just look at you, how about that?" Su Yinhe looked at him, her words dripping with sweetness enough to drown someone.
Chi Yan’s face instantly reddened.
"Hey, why are you blushing all of a sudden?" Su Yinhe leaned in to see more clearly.
"It’s not that. It’s just a bit hot," Chi Yan denied it.
"Really? What kind of hot?" Su Yinhe kept her gaze on him, continuing to probe.
"Is your face hot? Your body? Or maybe...your heart?"
"Or...is it everything?"
"I..." Chi Yan’s blushing face struggled for words.
Su Yinhe stared at him for a long while until Chi Yan almost bolted, then she finally let him go.
Lin Murong: "..."
Lin Murong angrily finished off the last dumpling and stormed off to wash the dishes.
Damn it, he shouldn’t have looked up; he should’ve just focused on enjoying his dumplings. Were the dumplings not tasty enough?
Why bother looking up?
Lin Murong felt very sad.
He got emo again.
The dumplings tasted great, if only there were no dog food after eating them, it would be even better.
After finishing the dumplings, Su Yinhe had nothing to do again.
So she went back to lie down.
Tired.
It was all Lin Murong’s fault.
Lin Murong: "Meow meow meow???"
Although Su Yinhe did not know why it was Lin Murong’s fault, when in doubt, blame Lin Murong.
Lin Murong was a perfect scapegoat.
Nice.
After lying down on the bed, it happened that the drama she was following had been updated, and Su Yinhe binge-watched the new content in one breath.
It was the grand finale, and after watching the ending, Su Yinhe felt a sense of loss.
Ah.
Was this the legendary withdrawal reaction?
After watching the drama, Su Yinhe couldn’t sleep, so she took her pillow and went to chat with Chi Yan.
Yeah, the kind of chat that was purely under the covers.
Su Yinhe grabbed his blanket, covered herself comfortably, and Chi Yan, with a flushed face, sat on the bed, not daring to look at her.
Why did it seem the longer they were together, the more innocent Chi Yan became?
Su Yinhe stroked her chin, pondering.
Shouldn’t it be the other way around, the less innocent they become after being together for a while?
"Come over here, will you? Am I going to eat you? You’re so far away from me."
"No, I..."
"Come on." Su Yinhe patted the blanket.
It was Chi Yan’s bed, but the person sleeping was Su Yinhe.
Su Yinhe sniffed, there was a scent on Chi Yan’s bed, faint, but quite pleasant.
"What laundry detergent do you use?"
"What?"
"Laundry detergent. It smells so good." Su Yinhe sniffed again.
Chi Yan blushed even more watching her do this.
"Hey, why are you blushing again? You like me that much, huh? You blush just talking to me. How can you manage that? Won’t you blush every day in the future?"
Su Yinhe reached out and poked his hand.
"No, I won’t." Chi Yan grasped her hand.
"Really? But I think you blush so easily. It wasn’t so obvious before." It hadn’t been so noticeable in the past.
"Before... was before, now is now."
"Alright then." Su Yinhe spread her hands, "But you still have to get used to it."
"Yeah. I’ll try."
Su Yinhe looked at him, and as she did, she started to laugh.
God knows how much it tickled her when he blushed and talked about trying.
Anyway, she was in love.
Deeply in love.
Darn it.
She felt like he was seducing her.
She liked it.
Liked him so much.
Couldn’t control herself.
From then on, Su Yinhe developed a habit, if she couldn’t sleep, she would look for Chi Yan; if she was bored, she would look for Chi Yan; no matter what, she would seek out Chi Yan.
He was too adorable, and she liked him so much.
"I’m adorable?" Chi Yan really couldn’t understand how that word applied to him.
"Yeah. Adorable." Su Yinhe suddenly reached out, pinched his face.
After pinching him, she ran off, leaving Chi Yan alone, touching his face and grinning foolishly.
That kind of expression would never have appeared on his face in the past, but ever since being with Su Yinhe, it started to appear on his face every now and then.
