Chapter 500: Dizzy
Su Yinhe was so busy she was spinning in circles, her head all dizzy.
"So, what are you so happy about? You’re laughing like it’s the best day of your life." Just as Lin Murong was still foolishly grinning, Su Yinhe suddenly leaned in to ask.
"Ah! Galaxy, are you trying to scare me to death? Haven’t you heard the saying, ’Frighten people, scare someone to death’?" Lin Murong was completely startled.
"Tsk." Su Yinhe shook her head, "That won’t do."
"What do you mean by will or won’t do?" Lin Murong was confused.
"You’re not brave enough," Su Yinhe patted him, "You should really work on that."
After this little incident, Su Yinhe felt better.
No need for Chi Yan to sweet-talk her.
She was happy, but Chi Yan was still a bit clueless.
His IQ was high, but EQ not so much. He liked to ponder Su Yinhe’s thoughts, and while he could often guess correctly, he wasn’t all-knowing.
"Hmm, don’t think too much. It’s nothing." Su Yinhe was in a particularly good mood, so good that she could even soothe Chi Yan in return.
With her reassurance, Chi Yan, the love-struck fool, didn’t care about anything else.
"Alright, I’ll listen to you."
"See, that’s being good."
Lin Murong: "???"
What the hell?
This was like appeasing a pet dog at a large-scale event.
Sometimes, Lin Murong really wondered if Chi Yan was Su Yinhe’s dog.
Even more dog-like than him.
He was crunching on dog food, while Chi Yan was being a dog in front of Su Yinhe.
Hmm...
He felt he was slightly more high-level than Chi Yan.
Indeed, even in such matters, Lin Murong wanted to compete.
He was sick.
Really sick.
The two of them left, happy, leaving Lin Murong, the single dog, overthinking and then beginning to foolishly grin again.
It has to be said, some people really have a great attitude.
Although speechless, Lin Murong could actually amuse himself quite well alone.
"Ah. It’s like raising a child." Su Yinhe commented, watching Lin Murong’s silly laughter.
"A child like that would be better off dead," Chi Yan chimed in too.
Su Yinhe: "???"
"No, young man, your thoughts are dangerous; you’re brain-damaged." Su Yinhe felt a bit exhausted trying to correct Chi Yan.
But it seemed like Chi Yan was fundamentally incorrigible.
Now she was almost being influenced by him.
"Hmm? Okay, I’ll listen to you," Chi Yan smiled at her.
Su Yinhe looked at him, sighing.
"Listen to me, listen to me, you always say you’ll listen to me, but you never do anything, right?" After saying this, Su Yinhe heaved a deep sigh.
"Not true. I’m making an effort. I’m like this only with you, not with others..." He couldn’t even bring himself to lie about it.
"Yeah, making an effort, sure. I believe you, believe you. Forget it, maybe you should just stop trying; it doesn’t seem to help." Su Yinhe had given up on treating him.
"Ah. Then I..." No more pretending.
Pretending to be good, pretending to be obedient, was also tiring; now he would just go ahead and finish off Lin Murong.
Chi Yan silently prepared to pull out a knife.
But before he could get the knife out, Su Yinhe, the fickle woman, changed her mind again.
"No, you should keep trying, don’t give up on the treatment so quickly." Almost forgot, he still had to go with her to her place later. If she let him be now, it could lead to trouble later on...
Scary.
Su Yinhe sighed.
No, no, treatment must continue.
Hearing this, Chi Yan put the knife, which he was about to draw, back.
Good, he could be good.
In front of Galaxy, he was always sensible, obedient, perfect.
Whatever Galaxy said, he did.
Just hoping that Galaxy would love him a little more.
She already gave a lot of love, but it still didn’t seem enough to him, not enough. He was greedy for Galaxy’s love; the more he felt it, the more he wanted.
Not enough, still not enough.
He wanted more.
Chi Yan looked at her, his gaze slowly becoming intense.
Su Yinhe was also keen, quickly raising her head to meet his gaze, but in that instant, his expression shifted back again.
Strange.
She always felt something was off.
Su Yinhe hadn’t discovered anything, yet she felt that something wasn’t right.
Relying on a woman’s sixth sense, she knew that something was definitely amiss just moments ago.
"Chi Yan, tell me, what’s the matter? Just now."
Su Yinhe stared straight at him.
It would be best for Chi Yan not to lie to her.
Yet, there are certain things that one has to lie about.
He certainly didn’t want to frighten her.
He had said that in her mind, he must always be rational, perfect.
He certainly did not want her to see him as a bad person in her thoughts.
"Nothing. Was there something?" Chi Yan’s eyes carried a trace of innocence.
"Um... then there should be nothing." As Su Yinhe looked at him like that, she also began to doubt whether her feelings were mistaken.
After all, the sixth sense can be wrong at times.
"Right. Nothing." Chi Yan’s fingers intertwined with hers.
"So... Galaxy, what would you like to do now?" Chi Yan asked the question with a clear suggestive undertone.
Su Yinhe: "..."
"Ah, watch a show, I’ll watch a show." Su Yinhe understood his hint but pretended she didn’t.
She just didn’t get it.
"Alright. Let’s watch the show." Chi Yan curled the corners of his mouth slightly.
He knew she understood; she simply wasn’t taking the bait.
But that was okay, he understood.
Su Yinhe, on the other hand, felt a bit embarrassed by Chi Yan’s understanding.
"So I..."
"Go ahead." Chi Yan considerately turned on the tablet for her, even preparing snacks and milk tea.
He even provided a pillow for her.
"Sit. You watch here. If you want my company, just call for me." Chi Yan had created a great environment for her to watch the show.
Once he had set everything up, he went to prepare something tasty for her.
It wasn’t that he wanted to cook something delicious; in fact, what he really wanted to do was stay by her side, but he was struggling to contain himself.
He could hardly suppress the urge to engulf her whole.
He considered himself a very rational person, yet no matter how rational, some emotions simply couldn’t be restrained.
The more one tried to suppress feelings, the more forcefully they surged.
And him, he had been restraining himself for a very, very long time.
So long that it was frightening.
But fortunately, he could still keep himself in check now.
He, after all, was a person of reason.
Of a very high level of reason.
Chi Yan left quickly.
He moved so swiftly that Su Yinhe didn’t even have time to call out to him.
Su Yinhe: "..."
Su Yinhe touched her nose, glanced at the tablet which was playing an advertisement.
Using the ad break, Su Yinhe pondered why Chi Yan had run off so quickly.
Wait, why did he run at all?
Was she some kind of fearsome disaster?
She wasn’t scary at all.
Su Yinhe shook her head.
But, Chi Yan probably wasn’t afraid of her either.
Chi Yan seemed not to fear anything.
He was very bold.
Su Yinhe wanted to think more about it, but the show had started.
Busy following the plot, she didn’t ponder any further.
Never mind that, she’d watch first and think later.
Besides, Chi Yan had gone to cook something delicious for her and would be back.
There was no rush.
The show was more important.
