Chapter 928 Battle of the Two Generals

The clone and the original body shared the same memories. The two ancient Evil Generals before him were very familiar. He had known them for a while. These two Evil Generals were Xie Mo and Xie Po, both of whom were among the strongest of the ancient Evil Generals. Of course, they didn't even rank within their own Evil Spirit race, but that didn't diminish their strength.

"It seems you two are my opponents."

He stated indifferently. Even if the ancient Evil Generals betrayed them, there was only one outcome. Moreover, these two were the most powerful ones. Eliminating them would relieve pressure on the others. Based on his calculations and estimations, the probability of others defeating the Evil Generals was high.

However, these two ancient Evil Generals were impossible for them to defeat. Even facing two of them alone, Chen Tian felt no fear.

"It appears this is not your main body but a clone. Since it's a clone, Xie Po, you can handle him."

Xie Mo was a young man with a look of disdain. Considering the opponent's abilities, it was normal for him not to intervene against a mere clone. His ability would trigger at the start of the battle, and using it against a clone would be a waste.

"Alright, then I'll take him."

Xie Po was a burly Evil Spirit race male, his muscles and wings saturated to their peak. His sharp Evil Spirit Claws were ready. In the next moment, his body transformed to resemble a human. Xie Po shook his neck and said, "This form is fair for dealing with you."

"Do you underestimate me that much? Be careful not to suffer."

"Hahaha, if your main body were standing here, we might be a little serious. How strong can a clone be?"

He roared with laughter, ignoring Xie Po's words. A flash of light streaked across, so fast that Xie Po almost couldn't react. Chen Tian threw a punch, and Xie Po instinctively threw a punch back. Their fists collided with a thunderous boom, and space itself formed a barrier encompassing all three of them.

Normal space couldn't withstand their battle; only a special space could. The collision of their fists generated shockwaves and tsunamis of energy, threatening to collapse the surrounding space. Cracks appeared only to be instantly repaired.

The strength of this space was sufficient to support their fight. Their fists met, and Xie Po was somewhat surprised. Could a clone possess such terrifying strength?

Was this a bluff or a probe...

He was still contemplating this. Chen Tian hadn't used his full strength, only about thirty percent. As for the clone before him, he wasn't sure if it was at its full power or holding back.

Going all out was rare. Without understanding the opponent, going all out could easily lead to disaster. Cultivators' battles involved gradual probing before proceeding. Only when there was a hundred percent certainty of victory would they unleash their full power.

This power was not inferior to his own. Who knew if it was all or just a fraction of his strength? Xie Po increased his power, and a punch sent Chen Tian staggering back. Both sides retreated a step.

"I told you underestimating me would cost you."

The corners of Chen Tian's lips curled up. Underestimating one's opponent in battle was a grave mistake. You never knew how powerful your opponent truly was.

Underestimating an opponent could easily lead to death. This was something cultivators had to be vigilant about. Chen Tian had used a full fifty percent of his strength just now. He guessed that the opponent hadn't fully unleashed their power either, likely using only thirty percent.

This clone, as an individual, was still too weak. It didn't inherit the main body's bloodline or other innate conditions. Its current strength was entirely due to its own cultivation.

Patting his shoulder, Xie Po's expression shifted from contempt to seriousness. "It seems I need to be more serious dealing with you."

From Chen Tian's words, Xie Po could tell that the punch just now wasn't his full power. Thinking about it, how terrifying would the main body's strength be? After all, a clone's strength was usually half, or slightly more than half, of the main body's.

Of course, Xie Po and Xie Mo didn't know that this clone was no longer just a clone but an independent entity with its own thoughts and even memories. Its presence in this world was merely to complete the main body's mission. Once the mission was accomplished, it would leave this world to live its own life.

Their eyes met, and two streaks of light moved simultaneously, clashing repeatedly. Xie Mo, watching from the side, was engrossed. Xie Po's abilities hadn't been fully unleashed yet; it was still in the probing phase. He wondered who would win this battle.

"No matter who wins, I will have to act. This clone absolutely cannot be allowed to live."

Xie Mo's eyes, filled with killing intent, fixed on the battlefield. If a clone could possess such strength, how much more powerful would the main body be? He couldn't see the main body now, but by eliminating the clone while he had the chance, it would be one less problem. If the main body and clone teamed up, victory wouldn't be so easy.

As for the main body's whereabouts, who knew?

In the center of the battlefield, explosions erupted incessantly. If these explosions occurred outside their contained space, half the world would likely be destroyed. Battles of this caliber were already comparable to world-ending events.

When the two combatants pulled apart and stood facing each other, one voice spoke, "Are you not going to act? This guy's strength is a bit off the charts."

"I'm coming. Even if you didn't say so, I would have acted."

The two Evil Generals would team up. They both knew that fighting alone, they might not be a match. Only by joining forces could they have a chance.

"Teaming up? Then come at me together."

Chen Tian showed no fear of their combined assault. What if it was one against two? This battle was destined for him to win; it was only a matter of time.

Xie Po and Xie Mo attacked from both sides, their palms and fists sweeping through the air, forming a pressure wind wall. As the wind wall approached, Chen Tian extended his arms, palms open, enveloped by a peculiar energy that created an attraction.

The Evil Generals' palms and fists, uncontrollably, flew towards the center of Chen Tian's palms. He clasped his hands, gripping their arms, and spun them around before violently flinging them away.

They were thrown precisely into each other's proximity.

"Such precise energy control. He's even stronger than before. And this is still a clone?"

Xie Mo couldn't believe it. How could a clone be this formidable? What about the main body?

"We'll finish him here. If necessary, we'll let the Emperor handle it then."

"Agreed."

They had the same thought. Unleashing their full power, their Evil Spirit aura permeated the air, their bloodlines surged, and their abilities were activated. The gentle probing was over; this opponent had to be taken seriously.

Xie Mo's ability was passively activated from the start of the battle and remained in effect. His ability was to weaken combat power. Upon entering combat, his body would emit special waves that affected the opponent's strength, reducing it slightly.

Don't underestimate this slight reduction in power. Sometimes, this small difference could be the deciding factor in victory. Xie Po's ability was simple: immunity to fixed damage. As long as the damage received did not exceed his tolerance limit, he would not be injured.

The ancient Evil Generals' abilities were quite monstrous, though there were exceptions. Within the Evil Spirit race, abilities were paramount, followed by strength. If one possessed immense strength, they could certainly climb to the rank of Evil General.

The ancient Evil Generals simply had purer bloodlines and stronger abilities. In essence, they were no different from normal Evil Spirits.

Seeing their abilities activated, Chen Tian felt a jolt. He donned armor, a long sword materialized in his hand, and his aura clashed fiercely with theirs. The three figures engaged in a fierce battle.

In the vast expanse of space, a figure who was unconscious stirred slightly. The young boy watching beside him smiled. Was it finally over?

"Wake up quickly. Your world is facing a crisis."

The young boy had never been so anxious before. If it weren't for this person... sigh.

He hoped this gamble would pay off.
