The Black Dragon unleashed its full power, its claws extended, its palms pushed forward. The two figures stared at each other, waves of energy continuously spreading from between them. This impact generated ripples that affected the battles of the other two. The Black Dragon and Chen Tian met eyes, and simultaneously pulled their arms back before thrusting them forward. Bang, bang, bang, the continuous collision sounds were like intermittent firecrackers. They were fiercely clashing palms against claws. Initially, they were evenly matched, but slowly, the Black Dragon's claws began to show signs of being at a disadvantage. It felt a flicker of interest in the human youth before it. After all, dragons were apex beings, and only creatures of the same or a higher level could contend with their dragon-kin in terms of physical might.
The youth before it did indeed possess human origins. To think humans could become this powerful! Were all humans this terrifying now? The Black Dragon dared not imagine that humans, originally so weak, had become so formidable tens of thousands of years ago. As it pondered, it thrust its palms forward with full force, three elemental energies swirling around them. Chen Tian saw the Black Dragon falter and intensified the power in his palms. The three elemental energies of Divine Ice, Divine Fire, and Gentle Wind entwined his palms, erupting with power, his aura and the surrounding energy waves expanding.
Chen Tian and the Black Dragon retreated simultaneously. The Black Dragon let out a booming laugh, "Well done, human! You are worthy of my serious attention. Now, I shall offer you the combat etiquette of our Dragon clan. Boy, I hope you can provide me with some excitement."
"I, Black Dragon King Hei Tian, challenge you. Boy, state your name."
Hei Tian's eyes deepened, and his body transformed into a human form, identical to Chen Tian's. His previous state was his true form. Since they were to fight seriously, he felt it was better to maintain the same form as his opponent. His true form was too powerful to fight in; his other two avatars were different. Hei Tian could maintain his human form at will. The Wind Dragon and Fire Dragon were merely manifestations of Hei Tian's internal energy, not capable of independent transformation.
"Chen Tian."
As their names were spoken, their gazes flared with light, causing an explosion between their figures, a testament to the importance they placed on each other. To win solely within the confines of game power would be somewhat difficult, but only slightly. For a genius who frequently played games, a challenge of this magnitude was well within Chen Tian's capabilities.
The two figures turned into streaks of light, colliding in the sky. Their spiraling trajectories formed beautiful patterns. The battlefield was a blur, their speed so extreme that neither side could track them. Chen Tian and the Black Dragon were fighting with their full might, their speed far beyond that of ordinary players.
On the Fire Dragon's side, Yun Shuiying's eyes widened in astonishment as he watched the battle. "No way, this is too insane. With this speed, could it be that Chen Tian wasn't using his full strength before?"
The thought sent a shiver through him. He recalled the days of being dominated by Chen Tian. When Chen Tian had taught him swordsmanship and techniques, they had sparred numerous times, and he had been utterly crushed, losing all face. Now, to realize that Chen Tian hadn't been at his full strength back then was truly shocking.
He had thought he was finally catching up, only to discover he was still far behind.
"Boy, losing focus during a battle is not a good thing," the Fire Dragon's voice echoed in his ear as a flaming dragon claw descended from above. His longsword deflected it with a slight effort. Fortunately, the quality of the sword held up. This dragon claw couldn't be destroyed. Otherwise, Yun Shuiying would be no match for the Fire Dragon. This longsword was his secondary weapon; he wouldn't use his primary weapon unless absolutely necessary. For most players, their primary weapon was a hidden trump card, a last resort, because exposing a rare piece of equipment would attract the collective pursuit of other players.
There was no other reason; primary weapons were rarely revealed unless one possessed overwhelming strength, like gaming elites. Even if they displayed their entire gear, no player would dare to try and snatch it. That was the mark of a gaming elite – incredibly powerful and well-equipped.
Facing the flaming dragon claw, his longsword barely managed to resist, feeling slightly strained. He was forced to retreat continuously. The power of this claw was ultimately a bit overwhelming.
Yun Shuiying found himself in a passive situation. Of course, the same applied to another battlefield. Chen Shixue couldn't see the Wind Dragon at all; all around her were invisible wind blades. While the wind blades were once visible, after the Wind Dragon's speed increased, they became completely imperceptible.
To block them, she had to rely on her sixth sense. A woman's sixth sense and intuition were very accurate; it was a miracle she had lasted this long.
"If I had known this guy was this fast, I should have let Yun Shuiying deal with him. Why did I have to find this trouble for myself?" Chen Shixue grumbled to herself, realizing she had picked the wrong opponent.
Her speed was not at an advantage. The Clear Wind Swordsman's advantage was speed, allowing her to match the Wind Dragon. However, due to her immunity to fire, she chose the Wind Dragon as her opponent. It was a bit of a struggle, and she could only blame herself.
Both of them were in a passive state in their respective battles. Only Chen Tian's battle was a draw, though this was with Chen Tian concealing much of his strength. With energy from other worlds, he could have instantly killed Hei Tian, but that would be akin to cheating. Cheating was the worst offense in gaming, and as a good player, Chen Tian would not do such a thing.
The enjoyment of playing a game came from the process and personal satisfaction, not necessarily the time taken.
He retreated, the light dissipated, and the patterns slowly faded. The two figures drew apart. Hei Tian spoke first, "Not bad, boy. At this level, I can unleash 150% of my strength, and you're still my equal."
"But it seems your strength is only this much."
"Do you really think so?"
A confident smile played on his lips, as if victory in this battle was already in his grasp. Dual blades materialized in his hands, elemental dual blades coalescing. With a flash, Hei Tian became alert and quickly turned, extending his claws. The dragon claws and the dual blades clashed, sparking.
"Such speed!"
The Black Dragon was astonished. This guy's physical strength was on par with his, and even his speed was faster. Moreover, his aura increased significantly with the weapons in hand. He had never heard of weapons enhancing a human's aura. This wouldn't happen for cultivators, but Chen Tian was different. His weapons were formed from his internal energy and abilities, an extension of himself. The fluctuation generated by the coalesced dual blades would boost his aura and strength.
In this life, he only loved dual blades!
While his swordsmanship was not inferior to others, dual blades in hand felt even more powerful than a longsword. His figure flickered, appearing as a blur. Hei Tian had to hurriedly turn to defend. His speed was incredible. If not for the powerful dynamic vision and observation abilities of the dragon race, no one else would have been able to detect this speed. This meant that no one could pinpoint Chen Tian's location, and his attacks, delivered with lethal precision, would result in severe injury before one could even react.
The Black Dragon let out a wild laugh, "Boy, good, good, good! You are worthy of my serious attention. Since you are so eager, I shall oblige you."
White light emanated from the Black Dragon's scales all over his body. The light illuminated the area, and his figure temporarily halted. He stood still, observing Hei Tian's transformation. Chen Tian already knew about the Black Dragon's information and eagerly anticipated the upcoming battle.
The moment Chen Tian's eyes fell upon Hei Tian, the latter's information was loaded into his vision. There was no need to open the system interface. Hei Tian possessed a type of amplification ability, and the technique he was now employing was that amplification. It could boost his strength by approximately five hundred times.
