He instantly leaped onto a tree, his figure concealed by the leaves. His eyes sharpened, and he drew his bow, gathering fearsome power and airflow onto the arrow.
With a swift 'shoo,' a streak of light shot out towards Gouzi. Gouzi hid behind his shield, and a 'bang' announced an explosion. Gouzi's health dropped by 15%.
Seeing this, Gouzi understood. The opponent had used an armor-piercing effect. The name "Broken Archer" meant precisely that—an archer who pierces armor.
Against a Broken Archer, defense was meaningless, as their core ability was ultimate armor penetration.
Repelled, Gouzi shook his arms, and his massive shield transformed into two shield blades in his hands. Since defense was useless, he decided to go on the offensive.
With a thunderous step, a shockwave spread out, and he charged towards Han Yingguang. Han Yingguang sneered, "It's too late to attack now."
He drew his bow and shot five arrows into the sky. Instantly, a massive cloud formed above Gouzi, enveloping him.
Countless arrows rained down from the cloud. Gouzi was taken aback. The opponent had used a skill already, clearly not wanting him to get close.
He held his shield blades, their tips colliding with the arrows, shattering them.
As the arrows were shot, the cloud gradually dissipated. Soon, it was like rain, then the sky cleared. Gouzi looked towards Han Yingguang's last known position, but he had vanished.
Gouzi cautiously scanned his surroundings. Two arrows, one from the left and one from the right, shot towards him.
Gouzi slashed with his shield blades, and with a 'ding,' immense force erupted from the arrows. Gouzi staggered back.
The pushback effect triggered, and at the same time, the two arrows exploded upon hitting Gouzi's shield blades.
With a 'bang,' Gouzi was engulfed by the explosion. Then, a golden shield of light appeared around him, and he emerged.
