Chapter 51 All Are Gamblers of Life

In the deep underwater tunnel, a faint blue light flickered, and strange fish swam around, creating an illusion of tranquility.

Yes, an illusion, because at this moment, if they looked down, they would clearly see the piles of white bones laid out on the ground.

These were all the deceased Supremes.

"How long have we been walking? Damn it, it's time for someone else to take the lead!" Kangge Lifu's voice was rough. The flames burning on his body never stopped, ready for battle at any moment.

But after nearly an hour, besides the increasing number of white bones under their feet, they encountered no danger.

Xu Mu couldn't help but frown. This tunnel, according to the map, didn't seem this long. Yet, walking through it felt as if it had no end.

"I'll take over," after a moment of mutual glances, Nuona stepped forward.

She stood shoulder to shoulder with Haiman, her darkness surging continuously, leaping from her original position with more than double the speed.

Everyone was astonished. Was it that fast? Weren't they afraid of encountering danger?

"Seeking death," Ou Weixisi said lightly. He had no doubt that there were unknown dangers here. They hadn't encountered them yet, only because the time wasn't right. The danger might arrive the next second.

No matter how strong Haiman and Nuona were, this action was undoubtedly seeking death.

But as time passed, everyone quickened their pace following the two. After another hour, they still hadn't encountered any danger.

Nuona stopped, exchanged a look with Haiman, and then turned her head: "Come on."

Xilv glanced at his personal guards, then slowly walked to the front of the team. He held a bow and arrow, moving slightly slower than Nuona and Haiman, but still very fast.

Another hour passed.

"It's your turn." Xilv retreated to his original position. Ou Weixisi snorted coldly, his body surged with magic, turning the space into an icy crystal tunnel.

With his hands behind his back, he slid rapidly within the tunnel. The areas covered by frost were the limits of his perception.

"Damn it." Kangge Lifu, the king of the Fire Spirit tribe, stamped his foot angrily. He detested frost the most.

Another hour passed.

Still no danger.

Including Xu Mu, there were five teams in total. All of them stopped and looked at the space with suspicion.

The schools of fish outside the glass continued to swim freely. The white bones on the ground, after barely leaving a gap for them to step, had not increased. However, neither the anticipated danger nor any opportunity had appeared.

They fell silent for a moment, and then began to rotate leading again. This time, the rotation time was extended from one hour to two hours.

Walking was the simplest task for these powerful elves, as well as for the physically strong Xu Mu and Qiong Qi.

They walked for a long, long time, but without experiencing many nights and days. They could only calculate the time by the rotating leaders, estimating the passage of time.

So, on the last rotation, when Ou Fuxis, who was at the end, stopped, the others didn't rotate. They were all silent.

"Eleven days," Nuona spoke, her expression calm. From the beginning until now, they had walked for a full eleven days. They were somewhat tired, but still hadn't reached the end, nor had they encountered any danger.

"Could this tunnel be as long as the entire Ya'erfuhaim?" Qiong Qi narrowed his eyes, his voice calm. He didn't show any signs of weakness. As a divine beast, he had the stamina for this amount of walking. Moreover, he wasn't flying, just walking, so his consumption was minimal.

At most, he was a little sleepy.

"I don't know," Xu Mu shook his head as well, his eyeballs covered in red bloodshot.

He was in the same state. The prolonged walking hadn't made Xu Mu feel physically tired. The red bloodshot in his eyes was because he had to remain vigilant at all times in this underwater tunnel, leading to immense mental strain.

"Are we walking in the wrong direction?" Kangge Lifu looked at the deep tunnel ahead and spoke with annoyance. He had run out of patience. Even if there was danger, he wished it would arrive quickly.

"Whether it's the right or wrong direction, there must be an end," Nuona's voice was calm, but a hint of doubt flickered in her clear eyebrows. "I think, from now on, let one person lead for a day, at full speed."

"If we all sprint, this tunnel will truly be as long as the Ya'erfuhaim desert. After a few rotations, it will eventually end."

This suggestion was reckless, and many elves present frowned uneasily.

"What are you thinking? If we don't do this, do you want to wither away here like these white bones?" Nuona saw their hesitation and shouted angrily. She was here to retrieve a sacred relic and didn't want to die here!

"You said, wither away here..." As soon as she said this, Haiman beside her seemed to have thought of something. He immediately crouched down, closed his eyes, and unleashed his dark energy, carefully observing a skeleton.

A moment later, she placed her hand on another skeleton, observing it just as carefully.

Seeing this, Xu Mu also guessed something, and his brow twitched fiercely.

"So that's how it is."

A moment later, Haiman clicked his tongue, stood up thoughtfully, and said to Nuona: "You're right, these corpses have indeed withered."

"These powerful beings, in the end, couldn't escape this tunnel and died."

"This is an endless corridor of death!"

"No wonder I couldn't find any fatal wounds on these skeletons before," Xu Mu gently rotated his wrists, his eyes narrowing slightly. It turned out the truly fatal thing was the endless desolation.

"So, the elves who entered here before all died in this endless tunnel and eventually turned into skeletons?" Xilv said, then shook his head lightly, "I don't believe it."

"Even if this place has no end, with my brother's strength, cultivating here for a thousand or even ten thousand years wouldn't be difficult."

"Besides, if we truly can't find a way out, can't we just break through the surrounding walls and leave?"

"Breaking through the walls and leaving would also mean death," Haiman said lightly. The weight of the vast sea below was trillions of tons, and being crushed by it would be no different from suicide.

"Dying here, or dying after breaking out, someone must have tried," Xilv replied calmly.

Nuona pondered for a moment, then clenched her fist and smashed it onto the transparent glass, causing the entire tunnel to tremble.

"Are you crazy!" Ou Weixisi's face was filled with panic. He quickly used frost to freeze that part of the glass, fearing it would shatter and the seawater would rush in, drowning them all.

"It won't break. Even if our King came, it wouldn't break." Nuona waved her hand, removing the frost. Then, everyone clearly saw that the glass where she had struck showed no damage whatsoever.

So they all looked up again, at the top of the tunnel that had just vibrated. Not a single drop of seawater had seeped in.

"The King of the Dark Elves is from the same era as my father, and is now a Human King. Are you sure even he can't break it?" Xilv asked. He found it hard to believe that such a strong glass could exist in this world.

That small, fragile mirror could withstand the impact of a Human King?

Nuona did not answer this question. She and Haiman were the two great guards of the Dark Elves' King, and they understood their King very well, which was why they could make such a judgment.

"This tunnel is located at the bottom of the Sea of Realms. It can withstand the pressure of the entire Sea of Realms, and the fluctuations of unknown terrifying energies. How could we possibly destroy it?" Haiman also said.

"But how is it possible? How can there be a tunnel that never ends? It must have an end..." A Domain Lord Elf from Xilv's personal guard spoke with a pale face. He couldn't believe this cruel reality before his eyes, because he didn't want to die yet.

"If we keep going in circles, then it's possible," Qiong Qi said faintly at this moment.

"What do you mean?" All the elves looked at Qiong Qi. Kangge Lifu, impatient, roared, "We've walked for a long time, why do you say we're going in circles?!"

"What do you mean by 'walked for a long time'?" Qiong Qi turned to the man, his voice calm. "If the spatial laws of this tunnel are chaotic, then it's very likely that when you take a step forward, you've actually advanced a thousand steps invisibly. When you take a second step, you might have retreated ten thousand steps."

Kangge Lifu's eyes widened at this. His voice, no longer deep and powerful, became somewhat shocked: "Are you serious? How can such a thing happen!"

"The law of the Great Dao of Space is one of the highest Great Dao laws. Nothing is impossible." Xilv's eyes flickered as he understood the logic. His expression was extremely complicated. "No wonder even my father and brother couldn't get out of here."

"So, what do we do now?" Ou Weixisi's face was covered in frost. He knew nothing about the Great Dao of Space.

"You understand the Great Dao of Space. Can you find a way out?" Haiman asked Qiong Qi.

"It's almost impossible," Qiong Qi glanced at Xu Mu unobtrusively. "My cultivation is too low, and the space here is too complex. Even with thousands of years, I won't be able to decipher it."

As soon as this was said, all the elves in the scene fell silent. Facing imminent death, they all didn't know what to do.

"At this point, it's time to reveal your secrets. I don't want to die here," Ou Weixisi said with a grim expression, looking at Xu Mu and Xilv. These two had unknown secrets that might help them escape their predicament if revealed.

As soon as he said this, all the elves' eyes turned to Xilv and Xu Mu.

Xilv's expression remained unchanged, composed and calm. After all, he was the King of the Wind Elf tribe and could remain unruffled. But Xu Mu was different. If these people lost their patience and decided to search his soul, he would die at any moment!

"My secret is just a map." Xu Mu shook his head helplessly, then took out the map Deger had given him from his spatial ring.

"I went through a lot of trouble to trade for this with a dwarf blacksmith living among humans. Please take a look, everyone." Xu Mu said calmly and then spread out the map.

"Actually, this is a map of Ya'erfuhaim, it doesn't have much to do with the Sea of Realms. I originally intended to use this to find an entrance to the Elf Kingdom, but I was unexpectedly captured and brought to the dwarf world, and then inexplicably brought back by His Majesty the Wind King."

As he spoke, the elves carefully examined the map. After comparing it in their minds, they confirmed that Xu Mu was not lying, because on one part of the map, there was indeed a spatial entrance to their Elf race.

"Is that all? Then why did you charge headfirst into the Sea of Realms?" Kangge Lifu roared loudly. He believed Xu Mu was hiding something.

"It's very simple. Because I compared it with the map of your Elf Kingdom." Xu Mu looked innocent, pointing to the front of the map. "He once said that when he reached this area, he sensed an opportunity with the Dragon Seeking Treasure Ruler, but because he also sensed danger, he dared not proceed further."

"And because your Elf Kingdom is in another space, if the location of the opportunity he mentioned is placed here, then this is the location of the Sea of Realms, which is why I came here."

Xilv shook his head lightly, "That's not right."

"If you can explain everything that happened before, then why could you calmly walk on the waves when the tsunami hit? How did you know that place was safe?"

"Yes, how did you know!" Kangge Lifu also roared angrily.

"I gambled," Xu Mu shrugged. He pointed to the route Deger had drawn on the map and said, "Look, the safe route he took before entering the Sea of Realms region, and the route I took walking on the waves in the Sea of Realms, aren't they very similar?"

Xu Mu smiled and bluffed: "Actually, I just extended his safe route into the Sea of Realms. And as you can see, I bet correctly."

"Impossible, I don't believe it!" Kangge Lifu was furious. He pushed past Nuona and Haiman, violently grabbed Xu Mu by the collar, and lifted him into the air, roaring:

"How could a young human like you have such courage to risk your life based on a guess? I don't believe it!"

"What's so strange about that? Not only me, but everyone present, didn't we also come here based on some vague feelings?" Xu Mu chuckled softly, looking calmly at Kangge Lifu, and then asked:

"Who among us isn't risking their life?"
