Chapter 148 Baby? Obedient?

Chapter 148 Baby? Good Girl?

Song Ni couldn't stand Tan Zheng's smug, satisfied look. If she had any strength left, she would give this scoundrel a good kick. "Did you never have a woman in your past life?" she asked, implying that's why he was so ravenous when they finally got intimate.

Tan Zheng chuckled and carried Song Ni into the bathroom. "You'll have to tell me."

Song Ni frowned, not understanding his meaning. "Why ask me?"

He gently placed her into the bathtub, even adding essential oils and fresh flower petals. "Were you the one holding me back in our past lives, preventing me from experiencing this heavenly pleasure?"

Song Ni was speechless. Tan Zheng's mouth hadn't been this eloquent before; he used to be so direct. Now he could speak such sweet words, even bringing up past and present lives. It was cliché, but it certainly made her happy.

Song Ni leaned her head back against the massage jets and waved her hand. "You go wash up."

Tan Zheng narrowed his eyes at her dismissive attitude, treating him like a servant. "I haven't washed yet either."

Song Ni's eyes snapped open as she was about to close them, glaring at him. "Go wash in the next room."

He simply hummed and stepped into the bathtub. Water splashed, and the delicate foam was easily disturbed. Her body, previously well-covered, was now fully revealed. Tan Zheng's gaze darkened, and he let out a knowing smile. The scene was uncannily similar to before.

Song Ni instinctively crossed her arms. With Tan Zheng's added presence, the spacious bathtub suddenly felt crowded. It wasn't that the tub was too small, but rather that Tan Zheng insisted on being close to her.

"Move over," Song Ni said, kicking her leg out.

Tan Zheng, prepared for this, grabbed her ankle. He looked down at her bright red toenails, his brows subtly moving. The girl seemed quite fond of this nail polish color. His fingers expertly massaged her slender ankle. "Haven't learned your lesson? When have you ever succeeded in a sneak attack?"

Song Ni's expression turned cold. "Let go of me."

Seeing how little effort Song Ni put into struggling, Tan Zheng stopped teasing and released her foot. Song Ni had felt a bit self-conscious, but seeing Tan Zheng's uninhibited demeanor, she stopped being coy. After all, they had seen and touched everything, so sharing a bath wasn't a big deal. She was truly exhausted, and the warm water did soothe some of her aches. As she closed her eyes, ready to rest, she heard the water ripple. Tan Zheng, who had been sitting opposite her, had moved closer.

"What are you doing?"

"If you're tired, don't talk," he said, reaching out to her. Song Ni leaned her head against his chest. The cold, hard bathtub was nothing compared to the comfort of his warm, firm chest. Song Ni drifted off to sleep, leaning against Tan Zheng.

The bathtubs in the presidential suites of high-end hotels were top-notch, maintaining a constant temperature. If she wanted, she could have slept through the night. However, Tan Zheng wouldn't let her sleep indefinitely. It was nearly noon, and if she didn't eat something soon, her body wouldn't cope.

Song Ni was indeed indulging her pampered nature, letting Tan Zheng carry her back to the bed and help her put on her robe. As for food, she let him feed her.

"You're taking advantage of your birthday to boss me around," Song Ni said, shamelessly accepting Tan Zheng's service.

"If I didn't have to exert myself, would you need me?" Tan Zheng had never served anyone like this before, yet Song Ni remained stubborn and critical.

"You're getting the advantage and still complaining."

Hearing Tan Zheng's words, Song Ni's pride flared, and she ignored the food he offered. "Fine, then I won't eat."

Tan Zheng: ... Women were so difficult to handle, and this one was even more so.

Tan Zheng made a show of withdrawing the spoon. "You really aren't going to eat?"

The moment he spoke, Song Ni shot him a fierce glare. Tan Zheng let out a muffled laugh and quickly offered the spoon again. "Good girl, eat a little more."

Song Ni still didn't open her mouth, so Tan Zheng knew his teasing had only made her temper worse.

"Wife?"

"Nini?"

"Baby?"

"Good girl, just eat a little more." Tan Zheng wasn't skilled at coaxing people; all his persuasion techniques were self-taught and practiced on Song Ni. He wasn't sure which of these pet names finally swayed her, but after softly calling her these names, Song Ni obediently opened her mouth.

The man's mind was also a bit mischievous; unsure which name pleased her, he tried them one by one.

"Wife." Song Ni's brow unfurrowed.

"Nini." The corners of Song Ni's lips curved upwards.

"Baby." Song Ni could no longer suppress her smile.

"Good girl." Even the tips of Song Ni's ears turned red, and she shyly glared at him. "What are you doing?"

But her glare had no power. Water rippled, her eyes were like silk, alluring and full of emotion. Tan Zheng chuckled softly, his features seeming to soften in the sunlight due to his good mood. "It seems you quite like these two names."

Song Ni: ...

"Between 'Baby' and 'Good Girl,' which do you prefer?"

Song Ni: ...

Tan Zheng raised his eyebrows and pondered for a few seconds, then nodded as if he understood. "Since you like both, I'll alternate. Baby, okay?"

Song Ni: ...

"Tan Zheng, did you take the wrong medicine?" How had he changed so much overnight? He wasn't just less direct; he had learned so many new things. It was strangely sweet, and yet, pleasing.

Tan Zheng felt a little unaccustomed to his current self, but he didn't mind. "You don't like it?"

Song Ni remained silent. How could she not like it? To have a man like Tan Zheng call her 'Baby' and 'Good Girl' in such a soft voice was unbelievably wonderful. Yet, inexplicably, Song Ni felt that if she gave a positive answer, Tan Zheng would become too smug.

Seeing her silence, Tan Zheng raised his left eyebrow and tutted. "If you don't like it, then I won't call you that."

Song Ni: ...

How wicked was Tan Zheng? If he didn't get a positive response, he wouldn't do it. "See, men are no good. How long has it been, and you've already lost patience?"

Tan Zheng: ???????

When it came to unreasonable arguments and distorting facts, Song Ni was the master. The man shook his head helplessly. "Fine, you're the boss today. I won't argue with you."

Song Ni proudly lifted her chin. The sunlight shone perfectly on her beautifully sculpted neck, a spot that was usually pure and flawless, now adorned with a few stunning, vibrant roses. Red petals, gilded by the sunlight, were incredibly beautiful. And these were all works of art that Tan Zheng had left on Song Ni.

What could Tan Zheng argue about? The girl had been thoroughly cherished yesterday, and now she looked a bit delicate and fragile. He couldn't bear to touch her, nor could he bear to look away. So he indulged her.

Unable to help himself, the man leaned down and kissed Song Ni's eyelids. "Baby, you are so beautiful."
