Chapter 64 The Dragon Crossing the River

Not long after, Ning Beichen returned and said to the two women, "It's fine now. That guy was drunk. I told him to sober up outside, and he knows he was wrong."

"Hmph! He's lucky. If he hadn't been sensible, I would have shown him my power." Liu Yixin snorted disdainfully.

Ning Beichen's expression was a bit odd, unsure where this woman's confidence came from.

"Cousin, I have to kill that kid. Lend me some men, I want revenge!" At this moment, in another private room, Long Haitao, who had been beaten into a pig's head by Ning Beichen, was crying and calling his cousin.

"Who dared to hit you? Don't they know you're my cousin?" On the other end of the phone, a man roared angrily. Beside him lay a woman.

"Cousin, I don't know. I've never seen him before. He's probably not a well-known person in Haizhou. If he were famous, I would have known. He's likely a 'crossing the river dragon' from outside Haizhou." Long Haitao sobbed.

"What 'crossing the river dragon' dares to run rampant here in Haizhou's new city and beat my cousin? You wait, I'll send people over right away." Long Haitao's cousin said sternly.

Not long after, about twenty to thirty people entered the KTV, all holding one-meter-five-long iron pipes. The KTV staff were terrified.

"Young Master Long." The twenty to thirty people bowed in unison before Long Haitao.

"Come with me and cripple that guy!" Seeing that his cousin had sent people, Long Haitao regained his spirit, and his arrogant demeanor returned.

Dozens of people swaggered towards Ning Beichen's private room. Everyone in the KTV knew who Long Haitao was, so no one dared to interfere.

Soon, Long Haitao returned to Ning Beichen's private room and kicked the door. With a clang, the door was kicked open. Liu Yixin, who was singing inside, stopped and turned. Seeing twenty to thirty people armed with iron pipes storming in, her face turned pale with fright.

"You... what do you want?" Liu Yixin, still holding the microphone, her legs trembling, asked the fierce-looking men who had suddenly appeared.

"Cripple this man. Don't let these two women escape." The bruised and swollen Long Haitao pointed at Ning Beichen and said viciously.

"Yes, Young Master Long." Without a word, the twenty to thirty people charged at Ning Beichen, brandishing their iron pipes. Liu Yilin and Liu Yixin screamed in terror.

Just as Liu Yilin was about to call the police, a man pointed an iron pipe at her and threatened her menacingly, "Put down your phone. If you dare to call the police, I'll kill you." Under the threat, Liu Yilin had no choice but to put down her phone and place it on the table as requested. Liu Yixin did the same.

As for Ning Beichen, he looked listless, not even moving from his seat. He grinned at the bruised and swollen Long Haitao. "Young Master Long, it seems you're still not sober!"

"You should drink in moderation. A little drink is pleasant, but too much can cost you your life." Ning Beichen said as if he were looking out for him.

"Break all his limbs. I'll take responsibility if he dies. Tonight's food, drinks, and entertainment are all on me." The thought of Ning Beichen's earlier torment sent chills down Long Haitao's spine, making him tremble with fear.

"Yes, Young Master Long." Seeing that Ning Beichen was alone, these people were not afraid of him and eagerly swung their iron pipes at him.

"Young Master Long, it seems not only you are drunk, but these people are too. Drinking and causing trouble!" Ning Beichen said as he stood up, as if these people were truly drunk. No matter how they swung their iron pipes, they couldn't hit him. Instead, Ning Beichen's fists appeared and disappeared like shadows, landing accurately on their faces, blood splattering everywhere, accompanied by screams of pain.

The place was narrow. Despite the crowd, only a few could effectively attack Ning Beichen. The others were mostly just watching. Some had their iron pipes accidentally hit their own companions, leading to infighting.

"Why did you hit me?" A guy, bleeding from his head after being hit by his own companion's iron pipe, asked angrily.

"I... I didn't mean to." The person who hit him also found it bizarre. He clearly intended to hit Ning Beichen, but somehow the iron pipe landed on his companion's head.

"Not on purpose? If you hit me accidentally, what if you hit me on purpose? I'd lose my life..." The injured man became increasingly angry, swinging his iron pipe and hitting his companion's head.

With a bang, that guy also bled profusely. Feeling wronged and enraged, he didn't care about anything else and swung his iron pipe, fighting his own kind. Ning Beichen moved like a slippery catfish among them. Despite the large number of people, within five minutes, two-thirds of the twenty to thirty men were on the ground. The remaining ones were either fighting amongst themselves or fleeing. The scene was chaotic.

During the commotion, Long Haitao was hit by someone's iron pipe, causing him to fall down with a bleeding head. He was trampled multiple times, and by the time the fight ended, he had already fainted. The men sent by his cousin were either lying on the ground or had fled. They arrived quickly and left just as quickly. The whole process took less than ten minutes.

However, it was clear that Liu Yixin could not enjoy her night at the KTV anymore. The three of them soon left. On the way back, Liu Yixin was still indignant, complaining to Liu Yilin the whole time. Ning Beichen, driving, curled his lips, knowing that this woman was all talk and would be scared out of her wits if faced with real danger.

Not long after, they returned home. The events of the night were just a minor interlude, and Ning Beichen didn't take it to heart. However, around two in the morning, Ning Beichen, who had been lying in bed, suddenly opened his eyes because a trap he had set had been triggered. Ning Beichen first checked the surveillance. There was no one visible on the cameras. If it were just ordinary bodyguards or security guards, they would likely dismiss it as an accident and not pay too much attention.
