Chapter 36 Is This a Hollywood Superstar?

Even though she wasn't a fan, she definitely had celebrities she admired.

"I wish I could meet Pieck here. He's my favorite star," Liu Yilin said with a look of longing.

However, she knew the possibility was slim. How could a huge star like Pieck just show up here? And even if he did, it wouldn't be easy for her to meet him.

"Boss, you want to meet Pieck?"

Ning Beichen's expression was rather odd.

"What's it to you? You're just a bodyguard, you wouldn't know him," Liu Yilin retorted with a glare.

"Boss, if the Pieck you're talking about is the one I know, I can actually make you meet him."

Ning Beichen said calmly.

"It's definitely not the same person. The Pieck I'm talking about is a popular Hollywood superstar. How could you, a bodyguard, possibly know him?"

Liu Yilin said with a condescending tone.

"Boss, that's not necessarily true. Even a small bodyguard can have great abilities."

Ning Beichen said with a chuckle.

"Hmph, you make it sound like you're some big shot."

Liu Yilin gave him another dismissive look.

"Heh heh, Boss, you don't believe me? Alright, I'll take you to meet Pieck right now. That guy lives in Las Vegas, and I know where his house is."

Ning Beichen smiled at her.

"Alright, if you really take me to meet Pieck, I'll grant you one request."

Liu Yilin said to him.

She didn't believe for a second that Ning Beichen would know Pieck.

How could a big Hollywood star be acquainted with a mere bodyguard like him? It couldn't be through some past job, could it? She truly didn't believe it.

"Any request at all?"

Ning Beichen's eyes lit up.

"Of course not. You can't make any unreasonable demands on me."

Liu Yilin immediately became vigilant and said.

"No sincerity. Whether it's unreasonable or not is up to you to decide."

Ning Beichen pouted. He didn't believe this woman would be that generous.

However, he didn't expect her to actually agree to any conditions.

Under Liu Yilin's disbelieving gaze, Ning Beichen drove them to a luxurious and beautiful villa in Las Vegas.

"Boss, we've arrived."

Ning Beichen parked the car at the entrance of the villa and said to Liu Yilin.

"Ning Beichen, where is this place? We shouldn't just barge into someone's house."

Liu Yilin urged him.

This was Las Vegas, not their country. Trespassing here could get you shot.

"Boss, didn't you want to meet Pieck? This is Pieck's house."

Ning Beichen was not nervous at all and said to her with a grin.

"Ning Beichen, you... are you telling the truth?"

Liu Yilin's mind was in a complete daze.

"Of course. If you don't believe me, I'll call him out."

Ning Beichen walked to the villa's entrance and spoke a few words to the vigilant guards. Soon, a tall foreign man excitedly ran out from inside.

Upon seeing Ning Beichen, he rushed over and hugged him, exclaiming, "Hahaha, Ning, you finally came to see me!"

"Get off, don't hug me like a sissy."

Ning Beichen kicked the guy, but Pieck didn't seem to mind at all.

"Pieck, my boss wanted to meet you, so I brought her here."

Ning Beichen said to him, then introduced Liu Yilin, who was beside him.

Liu Yilin was completely stunned. The handsome foreign man in front of her was none other than that Hollywood superstar.

"Mr... Hello, Mr. Pieck."

Liu Yilin was so nervous she could barely speak.

"Hello, beautiful lady. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Pieck immediately became a gentleman when facing Liu Yilin.

Soon, Pieck invited them in. The interior of Pieck's villa was extremely luxurious and extravagant. It was said that the villa alone cost hundreds of millions of dollars to build.

However, compared to the expensive and lavish villa, Pieck's relationship with Ning Beichen was even more shocking to Liu Yilin.

Pieck acted like a child desperate to please his master in front of Ning Beichen, even fawning over him.

On the other hand, Ning Beichen was not polite to him at all, scolding and hitting him as he pleased. Those who didn't know better would think Ning Beichen was the Hollywood superstar.

They stayed at Pieck's villa playing until dark before returning to the hotel. Ning Beichen, however, had no idea how much of an impact that day had on Liu Yilin's heart.

Lying on the bed, Liu Yilin couldn't close her eyes. The events of the day felt too surreal, like a dream.

Especially Ning Beichen. She couldn't figure out how, as a mere bodyguard, he seemed capable of doing anything in Las Vegas.

Was his identity truly just that of a bodyguard?

Suddenly, Liu Yilin realized she knew nothing about Ning Beichen, only that she had slept with him one night when she was drunk, and then he had appeared at her company.

After careful analysis with her best friend, they concluded that Ning Beichen was approaching her with malicious intent, possibly to seize her wealth.

Yet, as days passed, Liu Yilin found no such actions from him, which made her feel even more perplexed.

Especially this trip to Las Vegas, the abilities Ning Beichen displayed had shocked her.

Now, thinking back, Liu Yilin realized Ning Beichen seemed to have accomplished many things that others couldn't.

For example, regarding the laboratory incident, when everyone was clueless, he knew the items were stolen by the Faceless Master Thief, and even knew that the Faceless Master Thief would be meeting the seller in Las Vegas.

In fact, Liu Yilin had suspected that the laboratory incident might be related to Ning Beichen, perhaps he was playing a game of being both the thief and the investigator. But no matter how she thought about it, she couldn't confirm it.

With many unanswered questions and doubts, Liu Yilin gradually drifted off to sleep.

Meanwhile, outside Ning Beichen's hotel room, several unfamiliar men appeared. One of them was none other than Tang Jin, who had been taught a lesson by Smith earlier that day.

Tang Jin's face was contorted with rage. He couldn't afford to offend Smith, but he wasn't afraid of Ning Beichen. As for that bitch Liu Yilin, Tang Jin vowed to make them both pay, even if he had to flee Las Vegas.

"Go in."

Tang Jin gestured to the two men beside him and said softly.

The two men nodded. One of them took out a card, scanned it against the chip reader on the room door, and with a "beep," the door opened. The three of them then slipped inside, unnoticed.
