Chapter 566 Do I need to be sneaky?

Ning Beichen had already left Malburg, and he had, of course, kept his promise to spare the assassin Pei Di's life, not killing him.

But this was far from over, it hadn't even truly begun.

Time seemed to fly, and three days later, Ning Beichen appeared near an island in the sea. The island had only one passable land connection, yet it was guarded with extreme rigor.

Those unaware might mistake it for a secret military base.

But in reality, this was the place the Countess had spoken of, the headquarters of the Badge Disciples, and where James was being held captive.

In the past, if Ning Beichen wanted to rescue James, he would have had to sneak in stealthily and then locate James's confinement.

However, with Ning Beichen's strength today, if he were to resort to such tactics, he would despise himself.

Did he need to be stealthy?

Absolutely not.

Unless the strength of the Badge Disciples surpassed that of a transcender.

But was that possible?

Therefore, Ning Beichen walked directly towards the only passage leading to the Badge Disciples.

Seeing someone approaching, one of the guards immediately picked up a portrait and compared it to the approaching individual. Upon confirming it was the person in the image, he promptly blew his whistle.

The Countess was one of the Twelve Badge Disciples. Shortly after Ning Beichen's departure, the Badge Disciples learned of her situation.

Unfortunately, Ning Beichen had no intention of letting her go when he left, so not long after he departed, the Countess died, in a manner that left no discernible cause of death.

Although Ning Beichen had killed her, he hadn't wiped out everyone in Malburg, and news of Ning Beichen's actions naturally reached the Badge Disciples.

So, even if Ning Beichen hadn't come, the Badge Disciples would not have let him go. It was just that for the past few days, they hadn't been able to locate Ning Beichen. What they hadn't expected was for Ning Beichen to deliver himself to their doorstep, and alone at that.

As the whistle blew, a large number of guards charged towards Ning Beichen. It was evident they had learned of Ning Beichen's strength from the events at Malburg, so these guards dared not be careless, treating Ning Beichen as a formidable enemy.

"Halt!"

"Don't move!"

"Get down, hands behind your head!"

These guards shouted loudly at Ning Beichen, pointing their weapons at him, ready to open fire without hesitation if he made any move.

However, these guards had no idea what kind of person they were facing, and their weapons, in Ning Beichen's eyes, were merely useless fire starters.

Ning Beichen needed to rescue James and had no time to trifle with these guards.

Only after the guards surrounded him did Ning Beichen release his aura. With a resounding boom, his aura erupted like a circular shockwave, sending all the guards flying.

Ning Beichen walked past them without even glancing at them.

Most of the guards were knocked unconscious by Ning Beichen's power. For the few who weren't, Ning Beichen casually flicked his finger as he passed them, incapacitating them.

By the time Ning Beichen had passed through the heavily guarded passage, an unknown number of people lay on the ground.

However, after he cleared the passage, three figures on black horses appeared before him.

Ning Beichen glanced at them. If he wasn't mistaken, these three riders were likely three other disciples from the Twelve Badge Disciples.

The three sat high atop their horses, looking down at Ning Beichen with an arrogant expression, as if they were gazing at ants. Their demeanor was identical to that of the Countess previously.

"King of Darkness, we have been waiting for you for a long time."

One of the men on the black horse spoke to Ning Beichen with arrogance, his tone suggesting Ning Beichen was their prey.

Ning Beichen looked at him, a look of utter foolishness on his face. However, Ning Beichen wasn't particularly surprised, as from an ordinary person's perspective, the Badge Disciples were indeed an unconquerable existence.

Even some Grandmasters from the ancient Eastern nations might not necessarily be able to defeat the Badge Disciples; this mysterious organization had some capabilities.

But this did not include Ning Beichen. With his current strength, Ning Beichen truly didn't take these Badge Disciples seriously.

Let alone three Badge Disciples, even thirty of them would make no difference to Ning Beichen; compared to others, they were merely thirty slightly stronger ants.

"King of Darkness, since you've arrived, don't even think about leaving. Who among you will deal with him?"

A Badge Disciple on horseback said.

"Let me. I'd like to see what kind of capabilities you, King of Darkness, possess."

A bald man dismounted, not bothering to pick up a weapon, and confidently walked towards Ning Beichen.

"I suggest the three of you attack together."

At this moment, Ning Beichen spoke.

"Hahaha… King of Darkness, you think too highly of yourself. I am enough to deal with you alone."

The bald man let out a hearty laugh, his muscles bulging prominently, clearly indicating he was a man of strength.

"Take my punch!"

With that, the bald man charged forward, his fist aimed at Ning Beichen.

"Baker, want to make a bet on whether the King of Darkness can take Lei Wang's punch?"

A man on horseback said with a smile to Baker beside him, as if Ning Beichen were merely an ant to be toyed with in their eyes.

"How shall we bet?"

Baker asked.

"Let's bet on how many punches the King of Darkness can withstand from Lei Wang. I'll go first. I bet he can block three punches from Lei Wang. If I win, you lose a thousand US dollars to me. If you win, I'll lose a thousand US dollars to you. What do you say?"

The man who initiated the bet said.

"Don't you think you're underestimating Lei Wang? I think the King of Darkness won't even be able to withstand one punch from Lei Wang. So, I'll bet he can't block a single punch from Lei Wang."

Baker said with full confidence.

His confidence stemmed from knowing how fearsome Lei Wang's punches were. He had personally witnessed Lei Wang kill a tiger with a single punch.

Even the tiger's internal organs were shattered, making it impossible for any human to withstand Lei Wang's punch.

However, just as he finished speaking, he saw Lei Wang, whose punch he believed to be irresistible, fly through the air. He landed on the ground, no longer breathing.

"You two, stop betting and hurry up. I don't have time to play games with children."

Ning Beichen naturally heard their conversation. After killing Lei Wang with a single punch, he said to the two idiots with a hint of exasperation.
