Chapter 117: Daddy Will Give His Life Back to You

Chapter 117: Chapter 117: Daddy Will Give His Life Back to You

Corbin Prescott felt chills run down his spine at the sight.

Julian Fordham got into the car, holding that bundle of blood and flesh.

It was terrifying up close; due to the miscarriage, the embryo was incomplete, with various blood-colored tissues clotted together, the color beginning to change.

If it had been summer, it would quickly rot, and then it would be even more horrifying.

Julian turned on the light in the back seat, staring intently, as if in his eyes it was an adorable baby.

"I’m sorry, baby. Daddy didn’t protect you and Mommy well. I hurt Mommy and you too."

Corbin knew better than anyone how much Julian longed for a child with Victoria Monroe, and now that the child came, it appeared in this form.

"Boss, my condolences."

Upon hearing this, Julian’s fingers slightly curled, and he looked up coldly at Corbin, "Follow my mother, find out Rachel Hayes’s whereabouts."

"Understood."

The car’s rear light fell on Julian’s handsome face, yet it carried not a shred of warmth.

In those pitch-black pupils, only the icy cold remained. His deep voice was extremely indifferent, "Victoria lost the child. What right does she have to live?"

He added, "All these years, I spoiled Autumn Fordham, this little brat, beyond measure. Since she doesn’t want me to be happy, then let’s all suffer together."

If she hadn’t officially announced Rachel Hayes that day, none of this would have happened.

Out of consideration for family, he forgave them again and again, yet they recklessly meddled in his marriage.

No one’s hands are clean. The tragedy of this child is at the hands of the Fordham Family and Rachel Hayes.

The child was most innocent, but why was it he who had to die?

"Freeze all assets under their names and find out where she is as soon as possible."

"Yes."

"Dispose of all their jewelry, designer bags, luxury cars, and the like."

"Yes."

Corbin knew how much Julian loved his sister and how dutiful he was to his mother.

In the end, those closest to him brutally stabbed him in the heart.

They forced Julian Fordham to this breaking point.

Returning to the marital home he shared with Victoria, the roses in the courtyard swayed in the cold wind.

October leaped off the cat tree, staring at the bundle of blood in his arms. Despite being sealed in a bag, the animal’s instincts sensed something amiss.

Julian gently introduced, "This is your brother, or maybe your sister. Say hello to your little brother or sister."

October jumped away, watching Julian from afar as if looking at a madman.

The room’s heater was on, making the indoor temperature very warm.

Julian turned off the heater and wandered around the house with the bundle of blood.

"Baby, this is the garden Mommy loves. On sunny spring days, Mommy likes to lounge on the swing soaking up the sun."

During the torrential rain, Julian sat gently swaying on the rose-wrapped swing.

Corbin wanted to shelter him with an umbrella, but his body was already soaked through, making it indistinguishable whether it was shielded or not.

He wanted to offer comfort, but the words felt pointless as Julian likely wouldn’t listen to anything in his current state.

Julian wandered like a ghost, moving from the front yard to the back, muttering constantly to himself.

Back inside the house, he introduced every corner, finally returning to the bedroom.

When Victoria left, she smashed their wedding photos, so Julian printed their past photos together and covered the walls with them.

Pointing at the woman on the wall, he smiled and said to the blood bundle, "Baby, do you see Mommy? Isn’t Mommy beautiful?"

"Your Mommy is the most beautiful person in the world, and Daddy truly loves her so much. But Daddy wasn’t good and lost Mommy and you."

His fingers gently stroked the woman’s youthful cheeks in the photos, his knees slowly hitting the floor as if he had lost all strength, whispering softly, "Daddy did wrong, and Mommy won’t forgive me anymore. Baby, do you hate Daddy too...?"

"Daddy, what should I do to bring you and Mommy back?"

He asked himself, but the next second, he began answering himself, "Nothing I do will bring you back, Baby. It’s Daddy’s fault. Daddy owes you a life. Should Daddy return his life to you...?"
