Chapter 139 Two Sheets

Lin Jing blinked, a little slow to react.

After two seconds, she asked, "Are you coming over?"

It was a normal, friendly scene, but for some reason, Lin Jing couldn't shake a feeling of abnormality.

It felt like the two of them didn't quite see eye to eye, both feigning politeness.

In short, it all felt very fake.

Lin Jing had a premonition that after He Lin finished his beer, Sheng Kuang would defiantly chug a bottle of mineral water.

The moment He Lin set his glass down, before Sheng Kuang could react, she stepped forward and grabbed his sleeve, "Um, are you hungry? Want to grab some late-night snacks together?"

Sheng Kuang, who had indeed been about to chug a bottle of mineral water, stopped and looked down at the fingers gripping his sleeve. After a moment's pause, he raised his gaze to her face, "You and I?"

When Lin Jing had said those two words, she hadn't thought anything was amiss. Now, hearing him repeat them, she felt something was off.

She blinked, ignoring the slight discomfort in her heart, "Yeah, since you're here, I should treat you to something."

After a pause, Lin Jing added, "If you don't want to eat, that's fine too. We can go somewhere else for dessert or milk tea."

Sheng Kuang looked up towards He Lin. Seeing He Lin's expression stiffen slightly, he let out a laugh and lowered his eyelids, "Alright, I'll listen to you."

The two left the KTV and went straight to a dessert shop next door.

Lin Jing chose an ice cream and asked Sheng Kuang what he wanted.

Sheng Kuang only asked for a bottle of mineral water.

The server quickly brought them what they had ordered.

Lin Jing poked at the ice cream ball in her bowl with a spoon, "Did I leave something at your place?"

"No," Sheng Kuang replied. He pulled an envelope from his coat pocket and pushed it towards Lin Jing.

"What is it?" Lin Jing asked, picking it up and opening it.

Inside were tickets for their first match in the KPL autumn season.

Lin Jing looked at Sheng Kuang in surprise, "You came all this way just to give me this?"

Sheng Kuang twisted open the bottle cap, his eyelids drooping as he casually replied "Mm," and swallowed.

Lin Jing stared at him across the table for a moment, then put the tickets back in the envelope and carefully tucked it into her bag.

Sheng Kuang had arrived nearly ten o'clock, and he had come from school to find her, which took considerable time. They didn't stay long at the dessert shop before leaving.

Sheng Kuang called a car and first drove Lin Jing back to school, then returned home.

Upon returning to her dorm, Lin Jing took a shower and then lay on her bed, sending a message to Sheng Kuang.

Little Jing酱: Are you home yet.

Sheng Kuang might not have been looking at his phone, as he didn't reply.

She thought about the tickets he had given her and couldn't help but take them out of her bag.

She opened the envelope and pulled out the tickets. She noticed the thickness was a bit off and, rubbing them, realized there were actually two.

And they were for adjacent seats, front row ones at that.

Why had he given her two tickets?

Just then, her phone rang.

miracle: Just got home.

Little Jing酱: Oh.

A second later.

Little Jing酱: You seem to have given me an extra ticket.
