Sheng Kuang outwardly ignored her, but when he secretly checked her homepage and even changed his own, Lin Jing was already somewhat certain he wasn't angry anymore.
However, she still felt a bit uneasy. She looked at him and asked with a touch of uncertainty, "Really?"
Sheng Kuang: "Really."
Lin Jing blinked and said nothing.
Sheng Kuang stared back in silence for a few seconds, his expression becoming a little more serious: "You even set your favorite hero as your homepage background."
Seeing that she still wasn't completely reassured, he felt like cursing. He took a deep breath, leaned back in his chair, looked at her, and his voice became even softer: "Then I'm completely out of options. What else can I do?"
"..."
Lin Jing's mood was incredibly complex at that moment.
She had been quite anxious, but now his tone, both gentle and somewhat exasperated, made her want to laugh.
She glared at him for a moment, then said with a poker face, "Oh, so you're pretty easy to appease then."
The game started. Sheng Kuang picked up his phone, his fingertips gliding across the screen, and said four simple words indifferently: "That's for you."
Lin Jing: "..."
Lin Jing's hand trembled, and her hero, Yao, stopped dead at the first high ground mid-tower.
Three seconds later, she silently cursed to herself and used the joystick to steer towards Luna in the jungle.
Her CP was just too good at this.
When she reached Sheng Kuang, he had just finished clearing his blue buff. He swung his phone a couple of times in the air and asked casually, "So if I were still angry, how would you try to appease me next?"
"Huh?" Lin Jing looked up at Sheng Kuang.
This question stumped her. She really hadn't thought about how she would appease him if he were still angry.
She paused for a moment: "Maybe I'd act cute? Like calling you 'gege'?"
Sheng Kuang chuckled: "You call."
Lin Jing: "..."
She had just said it in passing; she didn't actually intend to call him that.
Lin Jing's Yao finally reached level four. She activated her ultimate and landed on Sheng Kuang: "Aren't you not angry anymore?"
"Just because I'm not angry doesn't mean you can't call me that?" Sheng Kuang stood in the bush, positioned himself to ambush the enemy mid-laner, and with a quick combo, secured the game's first kill.
After playing so many games with Sheng Kuang, seeing him show off his skills still managed to impress Lin Jing.
She watched Luna taking the dragon, spacing out for a few seconds before remembering what Sheng Kuang had said earlier.
She looked up at him. Before she could speak, Sheng Kuang in the game suddenly stopped in the dragon pit.
The damage from the Baron Nashor knocked Lin Jing off him.
Lin Jing transformed into a translucent white deer. The enemy jungler, who had discovered they were contesting the dragon, rushed over.
Sheng Kuang looked down at his phone, not reacting, and Lin Jing instinctively called out a warning. Sheng Kuang snapped back to reality, but it was too late. He was already killed by the enemy jungler in the dragon pit.
Lin Jing's deer form had returned to human, and with her minimal damage, her ultimate was still on cooldown. She couldn't fly to Yu Zhou, who was arriving, and could only watch as she was double-killed by the enemy jungler.
Chen Jing: "What the hell? What's going on with you two? Jungle and support coordination, one dies, one feeds?"
Sheng Kuang and Lin Jing had their mics muted, neither of them responding to Chen Jing's comment.
Sheng Kuang, having revived, stood in the fountain for three seconds, used the joystick to move towards the jungle, and said, "Never mind."
Lin Jing looked up, about to ask what he meant by "never mind."
Sheng Kuang added, "I just imagined the scene, and it's better not to."
"..."
Sheng Kuang: "I'm afraid you'll accuse me of throwing the game for you."
