For the entire next day, Goddess Lin Na distributed supplies until late at night.
Only half the supplies were distributed. As it was too late, the guards set up tents and camped.
Late at night, Lin Na couldn't sleep and sat by the tent opening, gazing at the moon at a forty-five-degree angle.
Looking at Lin Na's flushed, jade-like profile, even the cold, mountain-like Luo She Li Si couldn't help but choke on his saliva.
Lin Na looked at the two of them, her gaze lingering on Ming Zhi Tian: "Ming Zhi Tian of Huaxia, come here, chat with me."
Ming Zhi Tian responded, "Oh."
Seeing Ming Zhi Tian walk over, Luo She Li Si clenched his fists, clearly unwilling that Goddess Lin Na hadn't called him.
Lin Na shifted her position. She was Caucasian. Her fair, delicate hands patted the grass: "Come, sit."
Ming Zhi Tian nodded, sat down leaning against her shoulder, and Lin Na pointed at the crescent moon: "Tell me, why is the moon so curved sometimes and so round at others?"
Ming Zhi Tian looked at the bright moon, thought for a moment, and spoke using Earth's culture and legends: "Some say it was he who bent the moon, and he who rolled it into a sphere..."
Lin Na blinked her long, thick eyelashes, covered her mouth, and exclaimed in disbelief: "Oh my heavens! My God! How much strength would that take?"
Ming Zhi Tian continued, "Some also say that above the moon, there is the Guanghan Palace, where two immortals live, one named Chang'e, and the other a Jade Rabbit. Chang'e is peerlessly beautiful, like a divine flower blooming, and the Jade Rabbit is small and delicate, tasting the world's mortal flavors."
Lin Na listened with great interest, looking at the person before her, somewhat captivated.
Ming Zhi Tian mused, "But those are just legends. I haven't been there. Perhaps there really are immortals. Otherwise, who created us humans? That will forever be a mystery."
"Thank you," Lin Na smiled faintly.
Ming Zhi Tian frowned, "Thank me for what?"
Lin Na smiled again, "Thank you for telling me a fairy tale."
Ming Zhi Tian shook his head, "This counts as a fairy tale?"
Lin Na stated firmly, "Of course it does. We only have Zeus and Aphrodite, but compared to Chang'e and the Jade Rabbit, they have a different charm, perhaps better, and more evocative of imagination."
The two chatted idly, and Luo She Li Si, watching from the side, had blood seeping from his clenched fists.
He gritted his teeth and walked over: "Goddess Lin Na, it's too late. Please go to sleep early. We'll be busy again tomorrow."
Hearing this, Lin Na suddenly felt a bit sleepy and nodded. Ming Zhi Tian got up and returned to his tent.
The night passed peacefully. The next day, they continued distributing grain and water to the poor.
By noon, ten carts of grain had been distributed. Although Lin Na appeared delicate and pampered, she was actually from a warrior nation.
Lin Na asked the guards to return first, as she wanted to get closer to the people of the slums.
But soon after, the sounds of artillery and machine-gun fire were heard!
"Boom boom boom!! Ratatatatatata...!!"
Ming Zhi Tian and Luo She Li Si quickly shielded Lin Na. Ming Zhi Tian made a judgment call, thinking, "What the hell?"
Meanwhile, another group attacked the Twisted Hip joint, looting more than a dozen clubs clean. The Prophet Broly intervened...
One of the black cars of the guards drove back, the bloody driver turning the steering wheel and speeding towards them.
As he drove, he shouted, "Goddess, flee quickly! The... terrorist attack!..."
"Chuuu~.........! Boom!"
A missile flew in, and with an explosion, the entire car was instantly blown to smithereens.
"No!" Lin Na couldn't bear to watch.
The slums descended into chaos, and the people scattered and fled, leaving only the three of them.
