Chapter 100: Necromancers

Rumbling sounds came from the deep belly of the earth, causing the whole building to shake fiercely.

'Earthquake!'

That was the first thought that crossed everyone's mind.

Well, except for Abium, though. He was instantly aware of the reason for the strange earthquake and furrowed his brows.

'They already broke the first seal? But isn't it too early for that?' In the past, the first seal was broken two months after the Royal banquet. But it had already happened in this timeline, which surprised him a bit.

'What do you mean by that, kid?' Azolla asked him in puzzlement.

Unfortunately, he didn't have time to respond as he noticed that the hooded guy had already summoned a few high-rank undead skeletons!

The sudden appearance of the undead skeletons caused everyone to back away from that hooded guy. Panic cries and shouts resounded in all directions.

Abium guided Baron and Helena to move towards the exit and quietly observed the surroundings. He knew if a fight broke inside this hall, a bloody bath would happen.

While he was bringing Helena and Baron towards the exit, every mage in the hall entered into battle mode and stared vigilantly at the hooded figure.

At that moment, the arrogant necromancer removed his hood and the white mask and revealed his face to everyone.

'It's Grazius!' Abium also recognized him quickly and took his [Sword of Wrath] from his space ring.

Grazius had short black hair, fair skin, long eyebrows, and a high bridge nose. He wore a black robe, appeared around 35 years old, and held a unique skull-symbolized book in his hand.

He opened his mouth and recited a word as everyone was backing away.

"Varos!"

The next instant, a strange eerie ripple came out of the book and spread in all directions, causing ordinary merchants and some nobles to fall one by one.

Due to his action, even apprentice mages got scared and started backing away.

The Official Mages, Second-Tier Mages, and high-class nobles in the VIP area were the ones who didn't fall into a panic state and stood there with solemn expressions on their faces.

After some time, the shaking began to calm down, but the tension inside that auction hall increased to its peak.

The mere presence of a necromancer inside this auction made everyone anxious.

"Who let a Necromancer inside?" Finally, a roaring sound came from the VIP seat.

It was Duke Adhemar!

At that moment, Abium noticed that another figure moved closer to Tabitha, took the Nether crystal from her, and stored it in his space ring.

He was the tall, middle-aged man who had just won the bid. He wore a unique purplish-gem embedded emerald ring, held a wooden staff in his hand, and appeared to be getting ready for battle at any moment.

Alas, no sign of anxiety or fear appeared on Tabitha's face.

She calmly took out a notebook from her space ring and spoke like a professional merchant.

"It's 25,299 white gold coins, Mr. Rilos Morte."

Noticing the silence, Tabitha cleared her throat and explained.

"The nether crystal's price is 25,000 white gold coins only, mister. But if we add the Auction House's fees, property tax, service tax, and kingdom's tax amount, the final amount you have to pay is 25,302 white gold coins. Because of this large amount of transaction, we reduced the three white gold coins as a special offer."

Although Rilos covered his face with a black hood, everyone around him could feel how annoyed he was.

Thankfully, he managed to calm down his emotions, took out a few crystalline cards from his space ring, and passed them to Tabitha. After all, 300 additional white gold coins wasn't an enormous amount to him.

"This should be the right amount." He added.

After that, he gave her a polite bow and shifted his head to Grazius.

The next moment, he suddenly disappeared from there, reappeared right next to Grazius, and stared at him coldly.

Simultaneously, another six hooded figures appeared next to him and encircled Grazius.

Meanwhile, the necromancer named Grazius showed an angry look and spoke coldly.

"Rilos, I don't need your help to kill these insects."

Shaking his head, Rilos conjured a few eerie black fireballs and tossed them toward the nearby skeletons.

The next instant, all those skeletons started to turn eerie black and soon disintegrated into ashes!

"What are you doing?" Grazius asked furiously, but Rilos gave a cold snort and snapped back at him.

"Shut up, Grazius. You don't need to reveal yourself. The last seal hasn't been broken yet. Let's go!"

"Tsk. Tsk. Don't act like you are my boss."

Grazius clicked his tongue in annoyance and took out a spell scroll.

Noticing his strange action, even Rilos got startled and asked with a frown.

"What are you planning to do?"

Meanwhile, Grazius suddenly tore the spell scroll and tossed a fist-sized magic stone into the newly appeared magic circle.

Simultaneously, he opened his mouth and let out a wicked laugh.

"You are still naive as ever, Rilos. Anyway, I will take this."

The next instant, the Nether crystal in Rilos's spatial ring disappeared and reappeared on Grazius's hand!

Rilos's eyes grew wide as he saw the nether crystal.

Before he could take back the Nether crystal, Grazius turned illusionary and disappeared from the grand hall along with the crystal!

"Bastard!! Give me my crystal." Rilos bellowed furiously.

"Son of a b*tch! How did he take my nether crystal from my spatial ring?"

Unfortunately, no answer came from his friends.

Eventually, he let out a deep sigh and shook his head.

'I must get that crystal from him soon; otherwise, that fool might use it for himself.' He muttered to himself and signaled others to get ready.

"Let's go!" Saying so, Rilos took out a teleportation spell scroll, tore it with his hand, and tossed a magic stone into the newly appeared magic circle.

His figure became distorted a second later and disappeared.

Following that, other necromancers also tore their teleportation scrolls and started disappearing one by one.

Ubius tried to cast some spell to lock the space when he saw them leaving, but a hand stopped him.

"Don't stop them, Ubius. We are at a disadvantage here."

Zivior spoke calmly.

He could tell with a single glance that everyone from that group was second-tier necromancers!

If any fight broke out, Zivior was sure that these necromancers would kill all the nobles and merchants in the auction house and create a huge mess.

"Why?" An angry roar echoed inside the hall.

Meanwhile, Zivior let out a deep sigh and spoke.

"We have other more pressing matters to attend. See your academic ring; our headmaster is summoning us."

Ubius gave a cold snort and turned his gaze towards his shining ring.

But as soon as he touched the ring, his expression turned grave.

"Threat Level-1?"

Without any delay, he uttered a unique chant and activated the ring.

The next instant, a small magic formation appeared under his feet and started to envelop his entire body.

Before long, his body turned illusionary and disappeared from the VIP room.

Meanwhile, other Official Mages and Second-Tier Mages also turned their face solemnly and started activating their academic rings.

Within two seconds, multiple magic circles appeared around every mage and teleported them out of the grand hall, leaving no trace behind.

Abium even noticed that some High-Class nobles like Duke Adhemer, Ice Queen, and Duchess Margery had also disappeared from the hall!

'The whole commotion ended?'

A strange silence appeared in the hall.

Thankfully, Tabitha remained standing at the auction platform and waved her hand to attract everyone's attention.

"'Cough' I didn't expect that things would escalate so quickly. Everyone, please stay calm and move outside quietly."

As Tabitha's voice echoed, all the merchants and other nobles nodded their heads and moved outside.

Abium and others followed her words, returned to their guest room, and reunited with Baron's other two disciples and Kuran.

Baron turned his face grave as they entered the guest room, moved towards the nearby chair, and sat on it.

"Do these necromancers have any connection with the snake symbol organization?" He asked.

"No, My Lord. These guys belong to a different group."

As Abium started speaking to Baron, Camilla suddenly spread her tiny wings, rose from Helena's shoulder and flew around.

"Helena, why is he so small?" she asked as she arrived near Kuran and stared at him in confusion.

"That's because he is a dwarf. Did you already forget what you learned in the history lessons?"

"Ah! I just remembered now." Camilla stuck her tongue out and flew towards Abium.

"Who is he? Why does he look so much like Aleratha?"

"He is our friend, Camilla. He is also a half-elf." Helena calmly sat on the nearby sofa and answered her next question.

"Oh!"

Meanwhile, Abium and Baron stopped their conversation and shifted their gaze toward the small figure.

Although they couldn't guess the reason, both felt that something was wrong with the fairy.

'She looks like a lost child.' Abium furrowed his brows, released a bit of his spirit power, and scanned her.
