Chapter 102: Zivior

No one spoke a word for the next few seconds.

Just as everyone was thinking about what to do with this situation, Count Tibal's soldiers hurriedly ran from inside and helped him stand up.

In the meantime, Baron Auguinare stood there with a pale face and soon noticed a smirk on Abium's face.

"Did you plan this, young man? Don't you know that harming a noble may result in all of us being sent to prison?" He asked gravely. Although Abium saved his life in the past, that doesn't mean he could do whatever he wanted in his presence. After all, he was a Noble of this Kingdom and served in the military for more than 30 years.

Abium also knew when to stop relying on others.

'In the end, I'm just a commoner while he is a Noble Lord.' He sighed deeply and spoke solemnly.

"Don't worry, My Lord. If we don't do anything now, Count Tibal will make things more difficult." While saying this, he shifted his gaze towards the faraway northern tower and asked Azolla.

'Azolla, are you sure about a Second-Tier Mage's presence in the northern tower?'

'Yes. He is the one who scanned you when you entered this city.' Azolla responded calmly.

'Good. I hope everything goes according to plan.' Just as Abium muttered, Count Tibal managed to snap out of the shock, pointed his trembling hand at Abium and others, and shouted furiously.

"Guards! Kill that wretch and capture the fairy. No, kill everyone!"

His eyes showed a trance of madness and insanity!

Count Tibal's personnel guards unsheathed their swords the next second and started surrounding Abium's group within a few moments.

Meanwhile, Baron Auguinare's face turned serious as he noticed the seriousness of the situation and spoke.

"Lad, take both of them and escape. Kuran, help them escape through the slum district."

"What about you, My Lord?" the dwarf asked surprisedly.

"I can solve this problem. Although I might get demoted for harming a noble, I can survive this." He paused for a moment as he glanced around and added.

"But if you guys got captured, you will be hanged for sure."

Even Abium was stunned when he heard such words.

'I thought he would distance himself from us but it seems I was wrong.'

He let out a deep sigh and spoke.

"Don't worry, Lord Baron. No one is going to be hanged or punished."

Simultaneously, he imbued more mana into his sword, covered it with an advanced sword aura, and thrust it toward one of the enemy guards.

His hand movement was so swift that it caught the enemy off guard. Before the other party could even blink, his sword directly pierced the air and left a bloody hole in the enemy guard's chest!

At that moment, Azolla scanned everyone and spoke in his head.

'There are still 11 soldiers left. Five are third-tier warriors, two are second-tier warriors, and the remaining four are fourth-tier warriors. Meanwhile, you have only two fourth-tier warriors and one third-tier warrior to support.'

Yes, Helena was still a third-tier warrior.

On the other hand, Baron Auguinare and Kuran were fourth-tier warriors and could greatly assist in this battle.

'It seems I need to eliminate the fourth-tier warriors first.' Just as he muttered, he cast the [Blink] spell and disappeared from where he was standing.

He reappeared behind one of the fourth-tier warriors a second later, made a whirling stance, and swiftly decapitated his head!

Before other warriors could understand the situation, Abium moved his sword toward another fourth-tier warrior and stabbed him from behind!

At that moment, Baron Auguinare and Kuran also snapped out of the shock, unsheathed their swords, and started confronting the other guards.

Before long, only five managed to survive brutal attacks from Abium and others and backed away with fearful eyes.

On the other hand, Helena also managed to protect her sister and didn't get any serious injury.

"What's your plan, lad?" Baron Auguinare asked as he pulled his long sword from a guard's abdomen and asked.

"We need to continue the fight for a while, My Lord-"

Before he could finish his words, he noticed that twelve more leather-armored soldiers were coming from the left side and seemed to be carrying weapons like spears, swords, shields, and even bows and arrows!

What surprised Abium was that most of them were fourth-tier warriors!

'Royal Guards? What the hell are they doing here?' A frown appeared on his face. He didn't see any Royal Guard in the vision and felt something was off.

'Something changed... No, it's due to my previous actions.'

'Now is the right time. Cast your offensive spell.' Azolla spoke in his mind.

'Got it.'

Abium raised his left hand, conjured a reddish orb of flame, and threw it toward Count Tibal's guards.

A loud booming sound echoed as the red orb landed on the nearby third-tier warrior and exploded, enveloping the other four guards in crimson flame.

Painful cries and moans came from the group as they tried their best to put out the fire on their bodies but couldn't!

By the time the Royal Guards managed to arrive closer to Abium and others, the cries of those soldiers also quieted down.

Only charred bodies remained on the ground, motionless.

Meanwhile, the nearby nobles, merchants, and even the apprentice mages were shocked by the brutality and felt a strange fear towards the group.

"Who dares to cause trouble here?" A tall guard stepped out of the group of Royal Guards and glared at them. No, he particularly glared at Baron Auguinare and even showed open hostility.

He had dark hair, azure eyes, and a muscular body. He appeared to be around 25 years old and wore a unique black armor instead of a brown one.

"Do you know him, My Lord?" Abium felt something was off about that guard and asked Baron Auguinare.

Unfortunately, Baron shook his head and responded.

"I have never met him."

While they were speaking, Count Tibal walked closer to the guard and spoke.

"I'm Count Tibal of Scepter Light Territory, Royal Guard. Baron Auguinare and his followers humiliated me in front of everyone and even tried to kill me. Arrest them!"

On the other hand, that guard gave Count a light bow and glanced around before introducing himself.

"I'm the Guard Captain of the Northern Gate, My Lord. We heard about the appearance of Necromancers from a messenger, so we came here in a hurry to check."

Saying so, he shifted his gaze towards Abium and others and curled his lips upward.

"It seems we came at the right time."

'I have a bad feeling about it.' Abium made a forced smile and cursed at his rotten luck.

In the meantime, that Guard Captain unsheathed his long sword, pointed the tip at Baron, and sent out an order coldly.

"Guards, seize Baron Auguinare. As for others, kill them without showing any mercy."

His words not only surprised the surrounding nobles but even surprised Count Tibal.

Meanwhile, Baron Auguinare wore a grim expression and spoke solemnly.

"You have no authority to arrest me, Guard Captain! Bring a Royal Mage or the Royal Knights for further talks."

To his surprise, the Royal Guard made a wicked grin and spoke calmly.

"We have sufficient proofs to apprehend you, Lord Auguinare. You are a retainer of Margrave Eliot, who has now betrayed our kingdom and already sided with the Holy See. We suspect that you are colluding with the evil necromancers and Light Church members-"

Before he could finish his words, Baron became wide-eyed and bellowed in anger.

"Lies!"

On the other hand, the Royal Guard shrugged his shoulders and asked casually.

"Do you think the Royal Family has any time to care about you?"

Abium was startled by the Guard Captain's daring and arrogant words and furrowed.

Even a mage would show some respect towards a noble, but this Guard Captain didn't even show any respect to the Baron, which made him confused inside.

'Who is backing this guy?' As he turned toward Count Tibal, Abium noticed that he was also wearing a clueless expression.

'Ugh, how should I deal with this situation now?'

While he was in muse, Abium suddenly noticed another figure walking out of the auction building's main gate and moving in their direction!

He wore shining silver armor, appeared to be around 35 years old, had long silver hair that almost covered his nape, unique silver eyes, barely visible eyebrows, olive skin, and was as tall as 2 meters.

His appearance looked majestic, and he carried a long sword in his right hand while excluding a cold aura. Wind-elemental energies swirled around his body whenever he stepped forward, created a strange barrier-like structure, and protected him like a force field.

Abium also noticed a strange difference in his movement and instantly turned gloomy.

'Fifth-Tier Warrior!' His heart was filled with a strange anxiety.

'Azolla, why hasn't the help arrived yet?' He couldn't help but wonder as he glanced at the northern tower.

'No idea, kid. But you don't need to hold back. No, you have no choice but to go all out against this guy.' Azolla spoke in his mind.

At that moment, Count Tibal noticed the silver-armored guy's arrival and shouted in an excited tone.

"Where have you been, Rainier? Come and help the Royal Guards to apprehend Baron and his followers."

Meanwhile, the silver-armored Knight named Rainier nodded his head and spoke calmly.

"Yes, my Lord."

The next moment, the air around him became violent and created a strange rippling wave.

'Is he using some kind of enchanting elemental skill?'

Before Abium could scan Rainier, his figure became blurry and disappeared.

No, he managed to see a humanoid figure moving towards them at an incredible speed and grew anxious.

'I can't follow his movement-'

Before he could even think, Rainier stepped forward and kicked Baron in the chest.

Baron Auguinare was tossed backward a second later and landed more than five meters away from them.

'His next target is definitely Kuran-' At that moment, his amber eyes suddenly turned eerie white and showed him everything in slow-motion!

But unlike the last time, he felt difficulty moving his body and frowned.

'It seems there are restrictions on using this ability. But this is more than enough.'

He conjured a ball of fire and threw it toward the Silver Knight. Simultaneously, he shifted his gaze towards Kuran and cast the [Blazing Shield] spell on him.

In the meantime, Rainier almost reached the dwarf and was about to raise his sword but suddenly froze.

He noticed that a strange layer of fire shield appeared out of nowhere and blocked his sword!

Before he could even blink, a reddish orb of fire appeared and landed on his face!

Suddenly, the fire orb cracked and exploded like a bomb, releasing fire in all directions.

A shockwave was also produced due to the explosion and threw the Silver Knight a few meters away from where he was standing.

Alas, not a single trace of a wound or scratch appeared on the Knight's body.

'Tsk, my spell lacks attack power. If mages didn't intervene, it would be a tough battle.' He muttered gravely and noticed that the slow-motion effect was also wearing off.

On the other hand, Kuran suddenly took out an iron axe, sprinted towards the fallen Knight, and tried to smash his head.

Unfortunately, he was no match against a fifth-tier warrior. In the meantime, Rainier caught the axe and gripped his sword tightly.

But before he could move his sword, an overbearing voice from the sky caused him to stop his next action.

"That's enough!"

A 40-year-old man materialized in front of the silver-armored Knight in the next instant!

He had straight black hair, olive skin, a round face, elongated thick eyebrows, and deep blue eyes. He wore a red robe and had a stern look. A unique black scarf also appeared around his neck and made him appear colder.

Rainier also noticed the new guy's arrival and tried to move his sword but couldn't. Updates are released by novel-fire.ɴet

He felt some invisible power restricted his actions!

On the other hand, the black-haired man raised his hand and spoke.

"Sleep."

Rainier felt that the whole world started to spin a second later and fall backward before closing his eyes.

He didn't even have any time to resist the mysterious magic spell and began to snore loudly.

An eerie silence descended.

Meanwhile, Count Tibal hurriedly moved closer to the black-haired man and pointed his finger with trembling hands.

"Sir Zivior! Why are you interfering with the Nobles' business?" Count Tibal's eyes widened as he asked Zivior in shock.

"Count Tibal, it's your fault for attacking a mage. Be grateful that I didn't kill you here and now."

Zivior said coldly and walked towards the Royal Guard Captain with a gloomy face.

Meanwhile, Abium breathed out a sigh of relief and relaxed inside.
