While running, Abium also checked his status and noticed his physical attributes were around 4.9!
'Amazing! My running speed has doubled.'
Dismissing the blue notification, he squatted down, jumped upward before placing his hand on the top region, and soon landed on the other side.
At that moment, he also saw a glimpse of burning fire on a faraway building's terrace and frowned.
'Tsk, if I had constructed any fly spell, I could've gotten there by now.' He couldn't help but mutter as he saw rows of tiny houses blocking his way.
Meanwhile, Azolla sighed in his mind and spoke.
'You already have the spatial spell for movement, kid. Once you construct the corresponding spell model of the Blink spell, you won't even find any necessary for a fly spell.' She paused for a moment and then added.
'Turn right and follow the compound wall for 100 meters. You'll find an alleyway there. It will take you directly to the other side.'
'You memorized the three-dimensional map?'
Abium turned to his right in surprise, hurried forward while glancing at the tiny houses, and soon arrived at the alleyway.
Then, he entered the alleyway and continued to move toward the other side at an incredible speed.
It didn't take long for him to reach the next street and look at what was happening on the building's terrace.
The fighting was happening on the terrace of a large building.
Citizens and security guards were walking out of nearby houses and buildings and looking at the Inn's terrace in shock. Abium also saw a few pieces of debris falling from the open terrace from time to time, causing the Inn's people to run away in different directions.
After a slight pause, he moved closer to the Serpent Inn and saw a large dark humanoid figure with crimson wings battling against two humans.
'A mage or a Warlock?' He furrowed his brows, cast the [Blink] spell, and disappeared from where he was standing.
A moment later, he reappeared on the terrace and was about to look around but suddenly froze.
At that moment, he noticed a sharp metallic chain suddenly moving in his direction from the front.
Simultaneously, he heard a female voice from his right side.
"F*ck! Another enemy?"
'No good!'
Abium turned his head while evading the sharp metallic chair and saw a pretty young woman with black hair looking at him with a shocked face.
She was none other than Sara!
...
A while ago,
In the Banquet Hall.
After Sara teleported to the Banquet Hall, she noticed that everything around her started to move slowly!
It was a blessing spell that Iskak cast on her through a spell scroll.
She then moved the dagger toward the most influential figures of this kingdom, plunged it directly into his back, and uttered a single word in a strange language.
"Susur!"
The next instant, crimson runes flickered on both edges of the dagger and slowly died down.
'Success.'
She sighed in relief as no one seemed to have noticed her action and quickly placed the dagger inside her sheath.
'Iskax said he got this dagger from the headquarters of Red Python but isn't it basically a cursed tool? Moreover, he seemed to have put much effort into this mission.' She thought inwardly.
But that didn't matter for Sara. She didn't care if Red Python succeeded or failed.
All she needed was freedom. That's all
As long as she returned the dagger successfully, she and her sister would be freed from this slave organization's scheme!
Even though she worried about her father's safety, she knew that he was strong enough to survive in any situation.
'I hope Lily doesn't make any mistakes.'
After looking deeply at a blonde-haired lady, she crushed the orb the black-robed mage gave her earlier and tapped her right leg in the middle of the rune circle.
A moment later, the space around her began to twist and teleported her away from the castle.
She soon reappeared a kilometer away from the royal palace and landed on the terrace of the Serpent Inn.
"I am glad you came back safely, Sara." A concerned voice came from her right side.
As Sara looked in that direction, she noticed that a familiar figure ran forward and hugged her with both arms. She had coiffed blonde hair, amber eyes, diagonal eyebrows, a fleshy nose, and a very thin upper lip. She wore regular linen clothes and held a sheathed sword at her waist.
A smile bloomed on Sara's face as she saw the young woman.
"Haha, of course. I will be fine, Lily!" Sara replied with a proud look and was about to part away from her sister's arms but suddenly frowned.
At that moment, both found that a large shadow appeared above their heads, blocking the moonlight.
"Hiss! Where is the dagger, Sara?" A loud hissing voice came from above, causing both of them to flinch in surprise.
They soon saw a monstrous humanoid figure floating above them and grew pale.
While Sara and Lily were in shock, the humanoid figure slowly descended and landed on the terrace using its eerie red wings.
It has three heads; one was a human head while the other two were snakeheads attached to the humanoid body's shoulders. The creature appeared to be around 2 to 2.5 meters tall, had shiny dark skin, and gave off a sinister aura.
"W-What the hell is this?" Sara said in disbelief and took a step back.
At that moment, she looked deeply into the human face and soon widened her eyes.
It was Iskax's face!
But what made both of them open their eyes wide was that another small red-colored snake hovered next to Iskax and glanced around at its surroundings like a normal human.
"W-What are you?" Sara stuttered as he looked at Iskax with fear in her eyes.
At that moment, Iskax's original appearance was utterly changed, and he looked more like an actual demon than a human!
Meanwhile, Iskax opened his mouth and spoke in an eerie voice.
"Hiss, it's a gift from my master. Now, give me that d-dagger."
Iskax also had a crazy look on his face as he spoke.
In contrast, the snake floated in mid-air silently and did not see them as a threat.
Although Sara and Lily got shocked by Iskax's appearance, they soon calmed down and nodded their heads.
"Tsk. Take it."
Sara clicked her tongue and moved her hand towards her waist.
"I already captured the king's soul inside."
Saying so, she took the eerie dagger along with its sheath and threw it toward Iskax.
Meanwhile, Iskax casually raised his demonic claw-like right hand, caught the dagger, and showed it to the small reddish-black snake.
"Please take it, Lord Susur!" Iskax said with a polite bow.
At that moment, the small snake slithered in the air, moved towards the dagger, and opened its mouth.
Then, it bit the strange dagger's hilt area and started growing in size up to around two meters in length!
On the other hand, Iskax bowed his head again and spoke.
"You can do your job without any obstruction, My Lord."
Meanwhile, the snake replied with a simple nod and disappeared from there!
"What is that snake, Iskax?" Lily asked while drawing her sword.
Sara also felt something was off about the current situation and looked at Iskax with wariness.
"Hiss, you don't need to know anything about it," Iskax said with a wicked grin, raised his claw-like hand, and conjured a ball of yellowish fire on his palm!
It appeared to be the size of a small ball at first but soon expanded to the size of a half-meter radius!
Upon seeing such a large fireball, Lily and Sara were startled deeply and cried out in shock.
"You became a Warlock?!"
"Kekeke, amazing, isn't it? Submit to me now!" Iskax's eerie voice echoed in their ears.
Before they could respond, he moved his hand and threw the fireball in their direction!
Thankfully, both of them were on high alert the whole time and hurriedly leaped towards the sides, avoiding being struck by the ball of flame.
In the meantime, the fireball flew past them and soon landed on the concrete wall before exploding.
A moment later, a rippling shockwave spread in all directions, followed by broken debris. In addition to the nearby wooden storage room, other materials such as wood, laundry clothes, and chairs were also caught in the fire.
"Are you alright, Lily?" Sara stood up unsteadily and asked with a pale face. Meanwhile, Lily coughed loudly from the other side, moved closer to Sara, and spoke.
"I'm okay. But it looks like things are getting out of control now." Saying so, she took a short sword from her space ring and threw it toward Sara.
"It seems we weren't planned enough."
Sara said with a bitter smile, caught the sword with her right hand, and unsheathed it.
Then, she looked up at the demonic figure and frowned.
She felt that the person in front of them had changed completely and looked crazier.
"Let's get away from here first." Lily made a suggestion and tried to back away.
Sara also nodded in agreement and muttered inwardly.
'I hope they arrive on time and stop this monster.'
In truth, Sara and Lily knew Iskak wouldn't keep his promise and even made a cunning plan to ruin his goal.
Margery and Abium didn't see Sara's face due to some luck.
Instead, Sara intentionally didn't cover her face with a mask and exposed her real identity to them.
'Furthermore, I also purposefully dropped my Red Python Badge' in the Banquet Hall and gave another clue for the mages. It won't be long before the Royal Family finds out who is the real culprit of this incident.'
As long as they manage to expose Iskax's crimes to the Academic Mages, the Academic Mages would raid the Slum Borough and eliminate everyone who works for the Red Python Organization.
But what Sara and Lily didn't expect was Iskax's current transformation.
As both tried to back away, Iskax let out loud hisses and spoke using the human face.
"I never allowed you guys to leave. Surrender now and obey my command."
