Chapter 129: Demon Susur

At that moment, Lucius had long arrived before the demon and slashed at the demon multiple times using a greenish aura.

Compared to Abium, the former king had managed to cut deeply into the demon Susur's chest and even gave a deep wound on its neck!

Dark blood splattered everywhere as his sword danced in the air and stabbed the demon's body and upper limbs.

Shrieks and hisses of the cobra-headed demon resounded continuously.

But even with his berserk attack, there was no major difference. Those sliced areas began to heal incredibly and soon returned to their usual selves.

The whole demon returned to its healed state in seconds, causing Lucius to widen his eyes in shock.

"What the hell is wrong with this creature's body?" He couldn't help but curse at the demon in shock.

"It's an instant regeneration skill, Lucius. Most demons have this kind of innate bloodline skill and are hard to kill. That's why mages like us think twice before planning on invading the Abyss." Tabitha's voice came from behind.

"How are we supposed to kill it then, My Lady?" He asked in a grim tone and once again attacked the demon fiercely. But instead of aiming for the demon's chest, he focused his attention on one of its limbs like Abium, raised his sword above his head, and slashed at its arm region.

After a few seconds of reckless slashes, Lucius finally sliced one of the demon's upper right limbs.

Meanwhile, the demon Susur shrieked violently in pain.

It then opened its venomous mouth, slithered its dark tongue out, and hissed at Lucius. Two to three-inch poisonous fangs could be seen on the sides of the demon's jaw and caused Lucius to stop his movement in shock.

"Paralysis effect is slowing down!" Tabitha said from behind.

At that moment, a new tiny hand popped out of the sliced area and grew bigger.

But Lucius soon woke up from the shock, moved his sword at an incredible speed, and cut the newly appeared head neatly.

Whenever the severed area began to grow back, a green aura-coated sword appeared and cut it down without mercy.

The demon cried in pain and anger, but that didn't stop Lucius from halting his attack.

Instead, he went even fiercer.

In the meantime, Abium used his every bit of energy and attacked the demon from all the openings. Sometimes, he used sword skills by focusing the sword aura on a particular area and giving deep wounds to the demon.

Although every wound of the demon's body started to heal at a visible rate due to the regeneration skill, Abium's and Lucius's actions indeed fruit some results.

As time passed, the demon Susur lost too much blood and moved to a half-weary state. It became more anxious because its innate regeneration skill also slowed down!

At first, it didn't even consider Lucius as a threat. But now, it couldn't help but shudder a little. What shocked the demon most was the blonde-haired Elf!

'How did he paralyze my body using some strange metal bolt?' The demon thought inwardly in abyssal language.

As seconds moved slowly, it soon noticed that it could move its body muscles a little and got excited inside!

Without any delay, it activated one of its bloodline abilities.

Clang!

A clanging sound resounded as Abium's aura-coated sword clashed against the demon's skin and stopped midway.

At that moment, both Abium and Lucius noticed that the demon's skin began to harden around its body.

'Skin hardening. This demon is starting to use its innate bloodline spell.' Abium's lips curled upward as he noticed this and gave a smirk.

'It's getting anxious inside.' Muttering, he focused on the wounded area and attacked it before even it could heal.

In the meantime, Lucius halted his attack and looked at the demon in confusion.

"Your Majesty, don't stop your attack. Even with the skin-hardening spell, our offensive attacks will still work on the demon. Aim for the already wounded area and attack over here." Abium said in a hurry.

"You seem to know more about these creatures, lad. Are you the newly titled Baron?" Lucius was surprised by Abium's words and asked.

"Let's do your introductions later, Lucius. I can't hold this demon for more than twenty seconds." Tabitha said from behind while shaking her head.

"Got it, My Lady." Lucius gripped his sword tighter and slashed the sword toward the demon's chest.

Clang! Clang Slash! Stab!...

Both continued to attack the demon Susur for the next twenty seconds and soon noticed that the ice chains started to break.

'Not enough. We need more time to kill it. Otherwise, it will go on a rampage.' Abium's amber eyes searched for any weakness but couldn't find any.

'Tsk, if I can get another help.' He shifted his gaze towards Tabitha and the former king Lucius but shook his head.

'They are doing their best to hold this demon here.' He felt powerless against this monster.

Finally, he gave up on killing the demon and chose to face reality.

As the chains were about to break, he dashed towards Lily, grabbed her hand, and teleported away.

A moment later, he reappeared more than 8 meters away from the demon and then let go of Lily's hand.

He then glanced at Lily and asked.

"Did you manage to get something?"

"Yes. But I think that red-robed lady noticed my presence earlier." Lily's reply made his expression freeze.

Abium soon clicked his tongue and waved his hand.

"Tsk. It's okay. We will negotiate with her later. Get away from here."

Just as he spoke, a loud bang came from the front. Following that, all those ice chains cracked in many places and broke into multiple pieces.

Meanwhile, the demon Susur slowly fell to its knees and glared at them with angry red eyes.

Even in the Abyss, Susur had never been chained by low-level creatures and humiliated like this!

Black-dyed blood and black flesh splattered all over the ground, making it look like it had gone through an unbearable trail.

After a loud hiss, the snake demon slowly stood up from the ground and panted heavily. Follow current novels on novel※

'Sh*t. It is going to go on a rampage!' Abium showed a tense look and got ready to face the angry demon.

But before it could take a step forward and go on a rampage, the water gallon that hovered in the sky suddenly descended.

Abium had almost forgotten that a gigantic ball of water was still floating in the sky and showed a confused look.

The demon also gave a puzzled look.

'Is she going to make this demon drown to death?' Abium narrowed his eyes.

'It may work for humans. But against demons, there is no way it is possible.' In the past, he heard rumors that these demons were adaptive to any situation and were hard to kill. They were more like cockroaches.

Looking at the dark sky in confusion, he suddenly noticed that the demon was running in a different direction!

'Is it trying to run away?' He scoffed inwardly.

In truth, Demon Susur was more anxious than Abium and others.

Although Susur didn't think that a giant ball of water would harm its body, it sensed something was amiss.

'Damn it. Grold said all the mages would be staying in the magic tower, right? Did something happen?' It cursed in its mind and sped faster towards its right side.

It was supposed to be a planned mission, and Susur's only job was to steal that stone tablet.

Although it successfully took the stone tablet, this demon met its mortal enemy unexpectedly.

If Susur wanted to escape, its only option was to stall time until its subordinate broke the Dimensional lock spell.

While running, the demon quickly touched the reddish ring that hung around its hip and thought of taking out the communication orb to inform its subordinate.

But soon, its yellowish pupil dilated.

'Where is my communication orb? Did I drop it somewhere? No, that shouldn't be the case.' It clearly remembered that it put the communication orb inside its spatial ring only a while ago.

The strange anxiety in its heart began to grow deeper.

Little did the demon know that the culprit was standing a few ten meters away from it and chatting with Abium.

'I have only one choice now.'

Without delay, it suddenly changed its direction and started running towards the unconscious humans!

It was going to use them as hostages and wait for its subordinate to break this dimensional lock spell.

The demon didn't dare to wait any longer and sped faster toward Helena and the others.

It also needed to eat some meat and regain its strength.

Otherwise, it might get killed here.

It suddenly squatted down a bit, leaped forward, and pounded on one of the unconscious elite soldiers.

Before Tabitha or Abium could even react, it opened its mouth, bit the unconscious elite guard's head, and ripped it.

Then, it grabbed another guy's neck, used him as a meat shield, and munched the already-bitten head.

Munch! Gulp!

Susur swallowed the warrior's head as a whole the next second and threw the headless body on the ground.
