Chapter 329: Airship

Meanwhile, a look of smugness appeared on Nina's face.

She then turned her gaze towards outside, calmly looked at a half-destroyed airship that parked in the apron through the left side glass window, and spoke,

"Look at that airship on the right corner of the apron. During my last trip, I came to this Sky port through that airship. Seven second-tier mages and around fifty first-tier mages accompanied me on that trip, but two Second-Tier Mages and twenty-plus Official Mages died due to the magic beast raids. Most of them came from large mage families, but they still died pitifully. The reason for their death is simple. They were too arrogant, and they thought of those magical beasts as simple mindless beasts. Although I managed to keep myself alive during the last trip, I'm not sure that I will have the same luck as before." She stopped for a moment while glancing warily at the surrounding people and soon whispered to his ears.

"I always believe in divination, Mr. Jeeves. Whenever I plan to go on a trip, I would visit a seer or a diviner and ask their advice about the trip. Five months ago, I went to the Wadel Kingdom and asked a seer about the upcoming journey to the Zisedel Empire. He told me that if I wanted to live longer, I must choose this flight. Otherwise, he told me that I would die a horrible death and even gave me an artifact for only 40,000 white gold coins. Although he didn't tell me anything further, I knew there must be someone with a special power who would accompany me on this journey. After I found out the truth, I used the seer artifact on most passengers and began to search for the special person. So, when I cast that spell on you, it didn't work. Instead, the intuition spell didn't even activate. So, I guessed you are the special one."

Upon hearing her words, Abium became speechless.

'Should I praise her for such reckless and daring action or feel pity?' He knew casting the seer's intuition spell wouldn't alert others, but still, Abium knew that artifact must have its limitations.

'A low-rank artifact with Seer's Intuition spell inscribed on it? Interesting.'

But he knew some unique artifacts could expose these types of seer's intuition spells and alert the opposite party.

"What's the time limit for casting the Seer's intuition spell in your artifact?" he asked, lowering his voice.

"I can cast that spell once an hour, but I had to be careful when casting it. Because the Zistedel Empire forbids anything related to Seers and Divinations," Nina said in a depressing tone.

'Oh? Forbidden? It seems I need to be more careful, then. But she is indeed quite daring. Wadel kingdom's seer directed her here, huh? But for what?' Abium got puzzled and soon remembered strange words he had heard from the Demi-Lich Mike in the Fex dimension.

'At the end of this eon, truth, light, and justice will break apart while death and chaos will seep into our hearts like plagues, and only seers will watch them plundering every soul and do nothing.' As he recalled the strange sentence, Abium suddenly felt goosebumps all over his body.

'Does that mean they also noticed the change in the future of the Peral Kingdom? But I didn't change a single future. I flipped the whole kingdom's destiny and led it in a new direction already. Still, Wadel Kingdom's Seer, huh? I now understand why the Wadel Kingdom remained as the strongest nation even during the Chaos Era in the past and tried to swallow the nearby territories. Also, Seers did nothing to stop the chaos, huh? What a bunch of fools.'

Abium mumbled inwardly and began to gather more information about the Zistedel Empire from Nina. After an hour of discussion, he got some important news, which gave him quite a headache. In the Zistedel Empire, there are a total of 32 subordinate kingdoms. Each kingdom owns a territory equal to an ordinary kingdom from the southern lands. Moreover, he heard that different Mage families ruled those kingdoms instead of kings. Although Nobles were there, they were more like subordinates to the mage family.

As for the influence of the Light church in the Zistedel Empire, it was like he had expected. Mostly, 80 percent of the citizens were firm believers of the Light god, and each kingdom had more than tens of thousands of Holy knights. The remaining 20% belong to Nature believers and believers of other gods. If someone wasn't a believer in Light or other Gods, then the possibility of them being branded as heathen and getting purged in the name of Light was very high in every town. Those who followed atheism were almost non-existent, but if they did, they had to face the consequence of a purge.

"If you have any plan on settling in the Zistedel kingdom, then change your faith to the Light god. Otherwise, you won't last even a month." Nina said with a sigh.

Upon hearing her words, Abium's face turned solemn.

'It seems even my fake identity won't do much good in the future. No, it's not a big thing to fake myself as a believer of Light. Moreover, I can produce similar to Light Aura thanks to the understanding of Lawful Fire and mimic myself as a Holy Knight. In the end, Light, Sun, and Lawful Fire originate from a single energy, so it makes things easier for me.' A serious look appeared on his face.

As he contemplated deeply, a balloon-like airship descended from the dark clouds while emitting magic lights and landed a few hundred meters away from the L4 gate. Even the airship's base appeared as large as a three-story mansion, which caused a few gasps among the passengers. Abium, on the other hand, calmly looked at the airship and began to study its outer structure.

It was more than 500 meters long, 200 meters tall, and appeared gigantic.

'It seems this airship ran into some trouble on the way.' He muttered to himself.

Although a few damages were visible on the spindle, elevator, and rudder, a few mysterious magic circles appeared on the surface of the giant balloon and started repairing those damaged areas. Abium also noticed the airship was filled with multiple magic propellers on four corners of the base ship and appeared more mystical. Blue flames spread out from those propellers as the airship landed on the ground and soon lightened the surroundings. Three vanes filled with runic circles began to slow down their rotation speed, and soon the blades stopped moving.

Following that, illusionary stairs appeared from the base ship, and soon, a trench-coated lady with a pretty face walked downstairs. She had blue eyes and blonde hair and looked around 25 years old. With a stern look on her lovely round face, she arrived at the L4 gate and spoke loudly.

"Attention! Airship number ZS2456 is preparing for aboard. Passengers to White Raven City, please prepare your luggage for boarding." That blonde-haired lady announced loudly to the passengers and began to check everyone's airship tickets.

Abium, Nina Williams, and other passengers who arrived a bit earlier than the scheduled time stood up from their seats and walked forward. Soon, 200 members in different attires walked towards her in line.

Meanwhile, the blonde-haired lady checked the passengers' tickets individually and let them pass.

Soon, it was Abium's turn.

"Please show me your ticket and identity card, Sir." She extended her right hand and spoke calmly.

With a polite smile, Abium handed his ticket and proof of identity to her. She flipped his identity document and nodded before returning his proof of identity and the airship ticket. After receiving permission, he walked onto the airship through the illusionary steps.

It was a ship with three sections.

The uppermost section had complicated machinery with different runic array circles and a control room. The Middle section had small rooms for each passenger, a resting hall, luxurious halls for balls, buffets, etc. Surrounding those halls and rooms were hallways that led to the upper and lower sections. These hallways included lounges. As for the lowest area, they were the special room for crew members and other VIP guests.

Walking by the mages equipped with strange artifacts and magic staffs, Abium followed the officer's instructions and found the small room reserved for him. He soon entered and placed the death cane beside a sofa-like chair. Then, he walked to the window and looked at the scene outside. Latest content publıshed on n͟o͟v͟e͟l͟f͟i͟r͟e͟.net

He noticed that the blonde-haired lady was still waiting for the passengers at the entrance of the L4 gate and soon turned his gaze toward the apron.

'If I got some money, I must find a way to buy the blueprint of an airship.' Abium was just about to retract his gaze and admire the decorations inside the room but suddenly froze. At that moment, he noticed a chubby male figure approaching the blonde-haired lady at the T4 gate entrance.

He had emerald green eyes, short brown hair, and fair skin. He wore formal gentleman attire and looked more like a real noble. Abium also noticed the green gem-embedded golden ring on his right hand and became startled.

'Count Henricus! What is he doing here?' Doubt appeared in his mind.

At the same time, Count Henricus walked onto the airship and suddenly stopped. While no one noticed it, he looked into the glass window of the midsection of the airship and stared directly in the direction where his room was.

Abium, who was also staring back at Count Hendricus, felt goosebumps all of a sudden. With a shock on his face, he muttered out loud.

"How?"
