The next instant, Abium felt an immeasurable pain assault his mind and went death pale.
At that moment, that foggy form seemed to have invaded his Sea of Consciousness and seemed to be taking over his soul.
Although Abium got anxious, he didn't lose his calm. Instead, he relaxed his mind and didn't even try to think anything while completely blocking his mind using spirit power.
Following that, he began to count numbers in his mind.
"You are a smart kid. But not smart enough to fool me. Now, show me the link to the Core of Itera." A cold voice echoed inside his mind like an emperor's order.
"…24, 25, 26, 27..." Abium didn't even dare to focus on Udnir's words and continued to count.
At the same time, Abium felt some resistance towards the foreign force and entered a strange world filled with memories in the form of clouds. His soul form floated in a foggy world filled with countless small and big clouds. He also sensed that a foreign force was searching the memory clouds one by one and grew serious.
'This must be my Sea of Consciousness.' Abium made a guess and soon confirmed that he could control all those clouds with his thoughts.
At that moment, he also sensed Azolla's soul hidden deep in this world and breathed a sigh of relief.
'Now is not the time to relax. I need to get rid of that foreign force!'
Muttering inwardly, he looked up at the sky and noticed seven dim lights with different colors hanging up in the pale green sky like stars.
'Two red stars, Two invisible black stars, two crystalline blue stars, and one white star. No doubt about it. They are my spell models.'
After a simple glance, he closed his eyes and thought of his short sword.
The next instant, his sword of Wrath materialized in his hand.
'Although I don't know if I can use the Master Sword Aura in my Sea of Consciousness, I at least need to try it first.'
He thought to himself and soon tried to cover the sword using Master Sword Aura.
The whole sword was enveloped in pure greenish light a second later and radiated brilliance.
Without delay, he made a hurling stance and threw the sword toward the foreign power, which was prying his Sea of Consciousness.
Meanwhile, the sword of Wrath flew towards the foreign force and almost arrived before a strange black humanoid cloud in a second.
But before the sword could pierce through the black humanoid cloud, a layer of glass appeared out of thin air and blocked his sword.
A clanging sound and a shockwave reverberated inside his Sea of consciousness.
Abium was surprised and soon noticed an illusionary figure of a 40-year-old man emerging from the foreign black cloud. He had wavy blonde hair, a round face, and pure silver eyes. He wore red armor and held a long sword in his hand.
Abium also noticed a strange pentagram-shaped necklace on his neck and realized that he was in deep sh*t!
'Time god Udnir! No, I think this figure must be Time god's memory fragment.' Abium nodded in enlightenment and instantly sprinted toward him while creating another sword of Wrath from his memory cloud.
The next instant, he arrived in front of Udnir and thrust his short sword directly.
But Udnir calmly stepped back and blocked his sword using his own.
"You chose the wrong opponent, mortal," Udnir spoke coldly and directly broke his sword with a single slash.
Abium's face turned to pale as he understood the difference in strength and became restless.
'Is this the end? No, I won't give up easily. I don't think a mere memory fragment could kill me in my Sea of Consciousness.' A cold glint appeared in his eyes. Once again, he grabbed the nearby memory cloud and created a new sword in his hand.
Simultaneously, he sensed some connection from all parts of this world and widened his eyes.
While he was in deep thought, Udnir utilized this opportunity and thrust his long sword at Abium's heart.
"You lost."
Abium smiled as Udnir's sword pierced through his chest and soon turned into a cloud of smoke.
A moment later, another cloud began to twist into a humanoid shape and formed a blonde-haired elf.
For the first time, a surprised expression appeared on Udnir's face.
It seemed he was deeply surprised by Abium's knowledge about the Sea of Consciousness.
"You already gain some control over your Sea of Consciousness?" Udnir couldn't help but ask.
'So, he doesn't know anything about Azolla, huh?' An understanding smile appeared on Abium's face.
"Why should I answer? Anyway, are you a memory fragment?" Abium's cold voice echoed inside the dense Sea of consciousness as he sized up the blonde-haired man.
Meanwhile, Udnir shook his head and responded with a chuckle.
"This form is a minute part of my consciousness, not a memory fragment. Memory fragments are just like record magic, which only has a part of one's memory and will. But consciousness is entirely different. I can think on my own, and after accumulating countless experiences and absorbing divine powers, I can evolve into a real soul one day." He stopped for a moment as he glanced at Abium's Sea of consciousness and continued,
"Once you turn this Sea of Consciousness into a cognitive world through learning more information and experiencing, you will also be able to separate a part of your consciousness easily like me."
Upon hearing Udnir's words, Abium got puzzled.
"Aren't you invading my mind to kill me?" He furrowed his brows.
"Within your Sea of consciousness, I won't be able to kill your soul. You already learned some secrets about this world, so I have no choice but to back away. Moreover, I already used most of my energy to search your memories and got what I wanted." Abium got tensed up as he heard those words.
At the same time, he noticed that Udnir was holding a white cloud in his hand!
With a simple thought, he identified it was a memory about the mysterious fountain and went pale.
'Damn it! How did he get that memory cloud?' As he was confused, the whole Sea of Consciousness started to tremble like an earthquake.
'No good! He is planning to escape!'
Abium's eyes turned colder as he began to grab a white cloud from his Sea of consciousness.
"Materialize." He spoke coldly.
The next instant, the white cloud turned into a web-like pattern and began to spread in every direction.
Simultaneously, multiple clones of himself formed from other clouds and conjured many firebolt-like structures. All those bolts were created from Abium's understanding of the Fire Law.
Abium no longer hesitated and directly attacked Time God Udnir from every direction.
Meanwhile, Time god Udnir got shocked by this mortal's action and desperately tried to escape from Abium's Sea of Consciousness.
Seeing the blonde-haired man's action, Abium laughed coldly and shrouded his mind completely with his spirit power.
At the same time, he recreated another batch of red bolts and tossed them toward Udnir.
The next moment, streaks of red bolts darted toward Udnir and were about to pierce through his illusionary body.
Time God Udnir felt immense danger from those bolts and sighed heavily.
"Decelerate Time." A cold voice came out from Time God Udnir's mouth.
The following instant, Abium saw Time God Udnir evading all those red bolts at an unimaginable speed and almost appeared before his face in a second.
"This is the power of Time, Mortal." Time God Udnir spoke coldly and plunged his sword at Abium's chest.
