Chapter 282: Empress Athena

'Seer?! Didn't he say that he is a diviner before? So, that's why he is acting all this time suspiciously, huh?' Helena became surprised inside and nodded her head in understanding.

"Is there any other way to contact him?" Aliza asked with some hope.

'Ulzez said that I have to rely on his help if I want to find the guy who made me as an experiment subject and save himself. But it looks like I need to wait for another two years.' She thought to herself and noticed Helena was frowning deeply.

"Hmm, please give me your current address. If he returns from the mission, I will ask him to look for you." Helena said solemnly.

Aliza got startled a bit and replied with embarrassment on her face.

"Well, I'm staying in the academy for now, but I'm planning to move to the commoner's borough tomorrow and look for a decent job. Can I give you my address later?"

"Are you not a death mage? Why not stay in the academy and do some academic missions to earn money?" Helena couldn't help but ask.

But Aliza shook her head and replied with a bitter tone.

"Mages won't accept a death mage easily, Miss. Moreover, it will also attract the Light Church's attention."

'So, she is a jobless girl, huh? Hmm, can I give her a job? We also need many helping hands to build the Amara town, right?' A thought crossed her mind. Although her death mage identity might become a problem for their territory, she didn't put much thought into it.

"Do you want to work here as an assistant?"

Aliza froze for a moment and soon widened her eyes.

"I would love to." Without any delay, she nodded her head and agreed.

"You are appointed then," Helena said with a bright smile and began to talk.

"Our first job is to buy a small mansion in the Commoner's Borough and appoint a steward to take care of it."

Aliza got stunned by her sudden words and soon nodded her head nervously.

Meanwhile, Helena smiled in amusement, stood up from the wooden chair, and took out a silver pocket watch from the draw.

'Hmm, it's already 6 P.M.' she let out a long sigh and turned her head towards the kitchen room.

"Mr. James, I will be going to handle some personal matters," Helena said loudly and began to walk outside.

"Take care, Young Miss." As they walked out of the mansion, a worried voice came from the kitchen.

After that, Helena moved towards the carriage house and found the driver. He had messy black hair, downturned deep brown eyes, barely visible eyebrows, and a square face. He wore loose brown linen clothes and an old straw hat on his head.

"Orson, we have some work to do in the Merchants' Borough," She said calmly and soon shifted her gaze towards the newly brought carriage.

It was a four-wheeled black carriage with a unique sun-winged symbol embroidered in those golden curtains, and it looked extraordinary.

Meanwhile, Orson hurriedly tied the horses to the carriage and responded.

"Please wait a minute, My Lady."

Once he prepared the carriage, he sat on the driver's seat and drove out of the carriage house before stopping near them.

Meanwhile, Helena and Aliza entered the cabin and soon sat opposite.

Within seconds, Orson let the carriage out of the mansion gate and moved towards the Merchant's Borough.

...

30th August, Creeper's Forest Entrance,

It was around 9 P.M.

At that moment, Abium stood nervously and soon entered the forest while thinking deeply. Today, he had two goals in his mind. One was to find more truth from the ghost Empress Athena about his parents, while the other was to give Emperor Jack's body to her and ask her about the real history.

Within a few minutes, he walked deeper into the Creeper's Forest and started searching for the ghost lady's whereabouts in the dark.

Well, that was what he thought at first. But he soon realized that something was amiss!

Even after searching for half a day, he hadn't found a single clue about her.

Alas, he continuously felt the eerie feeling, which caused him to frown deeper.

'Why isn't she appearing?'

After thinking for a bit, Abium found a safe place near a tree and sat on the ground meditatively.

But to his surprise, he felt someone staring at him from the front within a minute!

A smile crept on his face.

A moment later, he saw the same black-haired ghost-like naked lady staring at him with puzzled eyes.

Like before, she started to circle him while floating in the air and humming as if she were enjoying nature.

Upon seeing the strange yet familiar scene, Abium frowned and felt something was wrong with her.

After some observation, he discovered that she repeated the same thing continuously and didn't even try to ask him any questions!

It was as if she was doing this instinctively.

'Wait a minute!... She looks like a lost child.' he felt something was wrong and fell into deep thought.

'It seems she locked most of her memories deep inside her consciousness, kid. Only by speaking to her, you could be able to enter her dream world and ask her more questions.' Azolla said solemnly in his mind. But Abium immediately shook that idea because he knew the dangers of the dream world.

'Is there any way I can wake her up?' Abium thought to himself and soon got an idea.

'Seeing the Emperor's face will wake her up, right?'

Without hesitation, he quickly took Emperor Jack's body and placed it in front of him.

The next instant, Empress Athena's face froze. She stood there with a vacant expression for a while and soon shifted her gaze toward Emperor Jack's elven face.

'It's working!'

Abium was startled at first and waited for her to wake up.

A few seconds later, a powerful invisible pressure came out of her body and scanned the surroundings.

'No good! She is a Demi-God, kid!' Azolla said with a shocked tone in his mind.

Meanwhile, Abium widened his eyes in shock and nodded gravely. He might have thought of escaping if she was a Pseudo-Legendary Tier. But now, he didn't even think about it.

The invisible pressure suddenly became solid at that moment and started oppressing his soul. Googlᴇ search novelꞁ

He felt that this simple pressure was enough to kill an apprentice mage and felt horrified!

Without hesitation, Abium cast his 'War angel's wings' spell and used both crimson wings to prevent the pressure from crushing his body.

He soon saw the nearby trees torn into multiple pieces and grew serious.

'Damn, even my 'War Angel's wings' spell won't block this pressure.' Abium became more anxious as time passed and soon heard a cracking noise from his wings.

At that moment, even stronger invisible pressure came from the ghost lady and started crushing the surrounding trees like a natural disaster!

He even saw the dark clouds gathering up in the sky, indicating that it was the beginning of a great catastrophe, and turned pale.

'I can't hold it any longer!'

Abium was already on his knees and could barely withstand the pressure by continuously casting his wings spell.

Once his 'War Angel's wings' spell broke, he immediately cast another and hurriedly crawled backward.

After another five minutes of the long struggle, Abium finally noticed that the pressure started slowly decreasing and soon disappeared completely.

But instead of confusion, the naked Ghost Lady revealed an icy look at that moment. She had cold blue eyes, a sharp nose, long beautiful black hair, and a powerful, domineering aura around her.

Just as he stared at her in shock and awe, she raised her hand and snapped her fingers.

Her naked figure was replaced the next second with a beautifully dressed one.

Her body was covered in an Elaborated gown and looked more beautiful. The dress was made of azure duchess satin and embroidered with floral emblems representing fine mithril and golden thread. She wore a beautiful silver crown and looked like a true Empress.

As Abium saw her oval face, his heart began to race faster.
