As Abium jumped into the bluish portal, he felt suffocating, followed by intense body pain.
'Your body is still too weak to handle the long-distance teleportation.' Azolla's voice echoed in his head.
Before he could respond, a strange suction force pulled him out of the portal and threw him out.
A second later, Abium found himself standing on the grassy ground, surrounded by green plants and trees. Unlike regular trees, these trees had strange human-eye-like black fruits, pointy green leaves, and red flesh-like trunks. He also saw many blood vessel-like vines twisted around the fleshy trunks and slithered into those tree branches.
'Nightshade vines! I have seen these types of vines during the Despair Dungeon exploration and almost got caught in its trap. It's a plant species that has highly concentrated paralysis poison in its branches and leaves.' He cautiously took a step back and then looked up at the surroundings.
Only then did he notice that the surrounding areas were bathed in golden hour light and looked eerie.
'Where am I?' He muttered in confusion.
Simultaneously, a drop of blood-like dew fell from one of the pointy green leaves and splashed on his oval face.
A startled expression appeared on his face.
He slowly touched his forehead and looked above before widening his amber eyes!
Up there, dense red fluids collected in those tree branches and looked more like pus.
What shocked him most was that the red liquid gave him a warm feeling.
He soon guessed the reason for that strange feeling.
'These drops are filled with spiritual energy!'
He wiped the droplet from his forehead and nodded in understanding. He didn't expect that the scarlet droplets were precious treasure drops and almost tried to go there and collect them!
But he soon stiffened up as he sensed some dark red energy mingled in those droplets.
'Strange! Chaotic energy and spiritual essence seemed to be mixed in these drops. More importantly, where am I exactly?' The frown on his forehead deepened as he looked up.
Bright golden lights illuminated the whole dimension from all sides, giving a light warm feeling. A strange bluish rift also appeared in the sky and seemed connected to faraway space.
'I'm not in Easica world... No, it looks more like I'm in another separate dimension.' Abium nodded inwardly.
As he was about to turn around and search for the ones who managed to escape from the Redbird, his [Fireball] spell model and zero-tier [Blazing Shield] spell model began to flicker intensely inside his mind.
'What happened to the spell models?'
He was stunned by the sudden unusual change in his mind and tried to find the reason.
Soon, he felt massive fire elemental energies from his right direction and furrowed.
At that moment, he knew that his fire spell models were attracted to something!
'Maybe the origin of the dense fire-elemental energy in this pocket dimension? Wait! Is this place also belong to the Lockridge family?' A thought crossed his mind.
'It's possible!'
"It appears we are the ones who made it alive." As Abium was in deep thought, a rough voice came from behind, causing him to turn around in surprise.
He soon saw Rilos and others standing ten meters from Abium and looking at the surroundings in shock and surprise.
"Unfortunately, Riza and Lahk didn't make it." Grazius, who stood beside Rilos, added while letting out a regretful sigh.
'Well, it's a good thing for me.'
Muttering inwardly, Abium activated the [Spiritual Scan] ability and scanned the surroundings.
Confusion appeared on his face.
'Only 8 of us managed to enter into this dimension, right? But who are the two unknown entities that showed up in my scan? Are there any other creatures out here besides us?... Although I couldn't pinpoint their exact position, I'm feeling strong spiritual energies from my left side.' While Abium was thinking, Azolla suddenly spoke in his mind.
'I'm feeling a little familiarity with this place, kid. There is a trace of divine power in the air.'
'Divine power? You can sense them?' Abium couldn't help but be shocked inside.
'Yes. But it has to be in dense amounts.' She went silent for a moment and then added solemnly.
'But strangely, the atmosphere inside this dimension appears very chaotic. From the looks of it, the one who created this pocket dimension put a cluster of powers together and made it similar to a chaotic plane. But what surprises me most is how he managed to merge chaos and law power in one dimension. Aren't they polar opposites?'
'What a reckless guy. Kid, I have to use some formulas to check how many types of powers were used when creating this dimension. Only when we get full information about this dimension can we move around easily. Also, this dimension holds God's divine power, so try your best to search for it later.'
'Law power? Formula? What are those? I don't know much about them at all!'
Before he could ask any questions, Azolla started to speak.
'You might meet many mutated magical beasts and chaotic creatures from other planes in this dimension. The spatial rift in the sky is more likely a portal to another dimension, so be careful.'
Abium froze for a moment and soon frowned.
'Moreover, magical beasts and creatures from other space, huh? Interesting!' A smile appeared on his face.
Magical Beasts and the creatures from the other planes were not new to him.
He even fought a few Rank 1 magical beasts in the past and had some unforgettable memories. Of course, he wasn't the one who stood in the frontline during the battles and only acted in supportive roles.
Alas, each of those battles caused the deaths of tens of high-rank warriors.
'But it was really worth the money. Even for participating in the supportive role, I received more than 50 white gold coins from the academic mages.'
Although the Magical beasts mostly live in dense forest regions, there were times when they invaded human society due to humans' provocations and caused considerable damage. At that time, Academy would send a large squad of mages to subjugate it.
Unlike common animals, Magical Beasts were intelligent beings and wouldn't attack a settlement unless someone provoked them. But once it becomes enraged, there would be no stopping it.
Even five Offical-Tier mages would find it hard to subjugate a single Rank-1 Magical Beast!
The main reason was because of its strong body and innate bloodline abilities.
'I have to be wary of their spells.' He muttered inwardly.
At that moment, Rilos quietly walked past him and gazed at the monstrous scarlet hills, which appeared a few miles away from them.
"Let's move towards that direction," He said casually and stepped forward.
Although Rilos was somewhat curious about those strange plants and trees, he didn't let himself be distracted from the main mission and focused entirely on the surroundings.
In truth, his teacher had warned him multiple times about the dangers hidden in this place and asked him to go to a certain place sooner.
'I don't have enough time to fool around.'
"Do you have any guess about where the final seal is, Britta?" As he walked on the bright red soil, he glanced at the blonde-haired woman and asked.
Unlike others, she had round silver eyes, tan brown skin, elongated, thick eyebrows, and a low bridge nose. From her outer facial appearance, anyone could guess her age was below 20, but only she knew the truth about her age.
As Britta saw Rilos's questionable gaze, she sighed heavily and started talking.
"I think we are in Fex's dimension, Rilos. It is a dimension from the legends that were solely created for training mages. After deciphering Novak's pages, Lord Shade concluded that Bidora Empire's royal family was the one who controlled this land for a long time. But after the fall of the Bidora Empire, its ownership was transferred to the Lockridge family. After seizing this pocket dimension, the Lockridge Family elder must have sealed its 'key' inside the red mansion and ordered the Redbird to guard it for future generations. That black seal which Grazius broke must be some kind of gateway to this dimension." She then looked at the sky and continued in a serious tone.
"But this pocket dimension's origin might be dated back to the Ancient Era."
