But suddenly, all those strange symbols drawn by the city guards earlier began to glow in red and let out some eerie noise.
"W-What is this?!"
"Magic?"
Multiple magic circles appeared in all parts of the city and gave a quick scare to everyone.
"It must be that goblin's doing!" A teenage girl spoke while pointing her finger straight at Susur and stepped backward nervously.
Soon, everyone got panicked and sprinted in different directions.
On the other hand, Susur also completed its chant and activated the large-scale magic circle. The next moment, thousands of strange black snakes slithered out from those creepy red characters and moved in different directions. Each snake had dark red eyes like its own and appeared more vicious. Massive panic descended all over the city, and people began to scream as they saw dark, creepy poisonous snakes slithering everywhere.
Many even got bitten by those creepy snakes and felt their souls being sucked out of their bodies.
Terror appeared in everyone's mind! Tim stood there with a frozen expression and watched his parents get bitten by those strange snakes. But what made him tremble even more was that those snakes began to tear down their bodies and began to devour their flesh with their poisonous mouth.
"Exciting, isn't it?" A chilling voice came from the gray-colored monster that stood before Tim. The next moment, Tim got more frightened and soon felt a biting sensation.
The next instant, an immeasurable pain assaulted his mind. He screamed with all he got and tried to move away but couldn't. The next second, he felt darkness shrouding his vision and soon fell with a loud thud.
Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of citizens' souls screamed in pain and fear! They cried, hoping that some mysterious mages would come and rescue them.
But the reality was so cruel!
No mysterious mage came. Instead, more snakes slithered out from those creepy words and painted the city with blood, flesh, and bones.
Those hideous black snakes continued to suck everyone's life force and their souls. After that, they even began to devour the fleshes and made the city look like a dead city.
After those snakes finished their work, they began to slither towards Susur, who stood alone at the front of City square and disappeared into the crystalline red bottle.
Susur stroked that crystalline bottle carefully, which now contains hundreds of thousands of souls, and began to draw a ritual circle using human blood and flesh. After completely drawing that ritual circle, it began to chant an incantation in an abyssal tongue.
Within seconds, dense, chaotic energy descended on the city square while tearing through space. It soon formed into a cloud of black humanoid smoke and gave off a sinister feeling to the surroundings.
Susur got excited as it saw that chaotic figure and threw the crystalline bottle toward it.
As the crystalline bottle moved closer to the chaotic being, the bottle broke and released all those souls into the ritual circle. Susur didn't get anxious.
Instead, it grinned widely and watched the whole ritual circle.
Hundreds of thousands of human souls let out despairing screams and cry continuously.
One by one, all of those souls began to suck into the black humanoid figure.
A smile crept on the demon's face as it saw the scene and instantly knelt on the ground.
"Tell me your request." A deep ancient voice came out from that humanoid foggy being.
Meanwhile, Susur's body trembled due to that being's gaze.
Suppressing the fear and excitement, Susur opened its wicked mouth and spoke.
"Divinity of Sun."
"Insufficient amount of souls. Try again." The voice replied without any emotion in its tone.
Susur's heart sank. But the demon didn't discourage and tossed another crystalline bottle toward that chaotic being. A moment later, countless hideous humanoid faces emerged from that bottle and began to roar in despair and fear. Susur had spent more than two thousand years collecting all these souls secretly and felt an aching feeling inside its heart.
Meanwhile, the chaos energy began to suck all those madly and let out a satisfied chuckle.
"Sufficient." The deep ancient voice came out from that chaotic being once again. A second later, that humanoid being took a white petal-like divinity out of nowhere and tossed it toward Susur.
Meanwhile, Susur caught that sun divinity with its tiny hands and bowed its head towards the chaotic figure. Then, the humanoid figure began to pull back into the void and left Easica Plane, leaving the demon alone in the city.
On the other hand, Susur held that divinity in its right hand and began to suck the divine power madly. Within a few seconds, its body started to increase in size at a visible rate.
Unlike last time, its imp face began to grow mature with that tiny cobra head on its forehead and looked more like an ancient demon. Its grey skin color began to change and turned into dark red. Its body figure began to grow up to three-meter tall, and it became more muscular.
At that moment, Susur also felt that the chaotic madness power inside its body was suppressed by the lawful Sun Divine Power and got relieved inside.
"Kekekek, this time, even 'Her Highness' doesn't have the right to strip away my power." It laughed out loud creepily and continued with a crazy smile on its face,
"I should digest all the Sun Divine Power and study this divinity more to gain complete control over it. It will take ten years to understand the law power hidden in this divinity. Hmm, I should lay low for now and take over the Red Python branch in this plane."
After looking at the empty city for a second, Susur quietly entered the nearby woods and disappeared from there.
...
16 Black Street, Commoners' Borough, Dewsummit city.
On 27th March, It was around 10.30 A.M.
Abium lazily sat on the sofa and looked at the slum kids, who were now practicing sword arts in the yard outside, through the opened door.
"Wendy, Block it!" Aaron shouted as he fiercely thrust his wooden sword toward her chest.
Meanwhile, Wendy held her sword tightly and tried to block the attack. But she fell pathetically due to her clumsiness.
"Aaron, go easy on her. She is just a ten-year-old child." A lean black-haired girl who was around 15 years old spoke coldly while picking up her wooden sword from the ground.
"Sister Lillian. She is already eleven." Aaron turned his gaze towards the left side while refuting but soon shut his mouth as he met with a piercing glare from Lillian.
Meanwhile, Abium watched the kids' battling with a pleasant smile and soon frowned as he saw two people walking out of the Scar's Inn, which was located right opposite his house.
'Hmm? Isn't that Aliza? What is she doing here?' Abium furrowed his eyebrows. At the same time, the bronze-skinned muscular, tall guy suddenly turned his head and looked at him sharply.
'What the hell? Is his perception that sharp?' Abium flinched at that man's response and released his spirit power in that direction. But to his astonishment, he felt an invisible force blocking his spirit power from scanning that guy!
At that moment, Ulzez glanced back at the black-haired boy, who sat inside the opposite house, and raised his eyebrows.
'Is he the one who tried to control me? No, his strength is too weak. Should I go and ask him directly? No! For now, I will keep an eye on him. If he acts suspicious, I will decide what to do next.' Ulzez muttered to himself and quietly after Aliza.
Meanwhile, Abium's face fell as he stared at those two figures with a confused expression.
'Azolla, do you know why I couldn't analyze his status?' Abium asked hurriedly.
'He mastered spiritual shield. Moreover, I felt impure chaotic mana from his body when I tried to scan him. Also, he isn't from this world.' Azolla said with a severe tone.
'Miasma? Is he from the abyss? Or some other chaos-affiliated planes?' Abium narrowed his eyes and asked solemnly.
'No idea, kid. But he looks strong. Very Strong. Stay away from him.' Azolla instantly warned him.
On the other hand, Abium felt more confused inside.
'Why would a strong person like him stay next to my house? Moreover, there is also that death mage Aliza tagging along with him. Is he related to Order of the Dead?' Abium frowned deeply. Without delay, he quickly activated [Seer's Intuition] spell and checked if Aliza and the other human were related to the Order of the Dead.
Soon, his expression turned relaxed as he confirmed they had no ties with the Order of the Dead organization.
'But something is indeed wrong. Booking the Inn right opposite my house is not a coincidence. Wait! It must be that fate divinity holder's work. Is he doing this to warn me that he is already aware of my disguise? But how did he find me?'
Abium thought he had missed something and soon sensed a slightly itchy sensation on his nape.
