'Teacher Zivior? He already started probing this organization?' Abium raised his eyebrows and fell into deep thought.
"Regrettable. But if we want to achieve our goal, we must sacrifice something." Rilos said grimly and shifted his gaze towards Abium.
"Did you manage to get any script pages of Lord Novak's diary from your friend, Baxter?"
"Yes, teacher. I got two of them." Abium nodded as he took two diary pages from his ring and passed them to Rilos.
From what Abium heard from the real Baxter's soul, it appeared that the Order of Dead members had long started collecting these mysterious scripts, and a higher-up of this organization seemed to have been capable of deciphering the old abyssal language!
'There must be some secret hiding within those texts other than Bidora Empire's history. The one who is collecting these mystic scripts must have found out about it and then started searching for the remaining scripts.' Abium thought inwardly and noticed that Rilos was already looking at those two scripts. After looking at those Abyssal words for some time, he let out a deep sigh and put it inside his spatial ring.
'Hmm? It seems he is also clueless about the old abyssal language. Hmm, Red Python Organization members might be able to read Novak's scripts. But why did Novak write his diary in the Abyssal language instead of the common Easica Tongue? How did he even learn this language in the first place?' Abium felt there were so many mysteries around Novak and became more curious.
'Wait, now that I think about it, the folk tales also say that Peral Kingdom people once spoke a completely different language once and later changed into Easica Tongue, right?'
As Abium was in deep thought, Rilos cleared his throat and started to speak.
"Ahem, now let's move to the current topic. Except for Baxter and Yozis, all of you will be infiltrating the royal castle during the mission day and joining the Grand Nobles Gathering as servants and guards. Your job is to create a Big Chaos during the function and then escape from there. Don't worry; Yalya will accompany you all this time, so there won't be much of a problem during your mission." As he finished his words, a black-robed woman appeared behind the throne-like chair, surprising everyone. She was around 40 to 45 years old, had gray frizzy hair, black eyes, thin eyebrows, and a round face, and looked around 165 cm tall.
Even Abium got startled as he didn't notice her presence at all!
'Isn't she the one who appeared along with Rilos during the royal incident? So, she is also a second-tier necromancer, huh?' Abium instantly identified her and grew more cautious. She wore a strange red scarf around her neck, giving off a dangerous aura like Rilos.
At that moment, Yozis raised his right hand and asked a question.
"What about us, Teacher?"
"You two will be accompanying me to the main mission. I can't tell you more details about the main mission due to an order from the higher ups, but it's going to be very dangerous." Rilos deliberated for a moment, turned his gaze towards Abium, and continued. "If any of you wants to withdraw from this main mission, it's your time now."
'Secretive mission? But why are there only Yozis and me? Something feels wrong… Is he already aware of my disguise? Impossible!' Multiple thoughts whirled in Abium's mind. But soon, he turned his expression normal and remained silent.
Upon seeing no one was backing away, Rilos gave a proud smile, turned his gaze towards Yalya, and asked.
"Did you find out about who will be in charge of protecting the nobles and Royal family during the gathering?"
"I heard that Rune Mage Ubius is the one who is going to do the surveillance job this time. I can take care of him if he is alone. But if Alchemist Zivior or Dark Mage Cole hides in the gathering, it might turn into a big trouble. In the worst case scenario, all of us might get captured or killed by the Academic Mages." Yalya said with a hint of worry.
At that time, an average young-looking guy with short blonde hair suddenly stood up and spoke.
"I overheard from Master Idus that an unknown person informed Mage Ubius that necromancers are planning to make Chaos during the gathering. I suspect that someone other than Mage Zivior is watching our every movement and gathering information about us, My Lord." There was a hint of coldness in his tone that made everyone frown.
On the other hand, Abium suddenly felt that the voice was familiar to his ears and became more curious about this young man.
'Not only he guessed everything right, he even infiltrated the academy.'
At that moment, Abium felt it was necessary to find out more about this mole and eliminate him thoroughly.
'Damn, I didn't expect that the Order of the Dead members had already infiltrated the White Tower.'
Abium instantly sent minute spiritual energy towards that blonde-haired guy and probed further.
'He only has the spiritual power of an apprentice mage. Also, this guy is not a necromancer but a mage like me. But why is he colluding with necromancers? What is his origin?' He couldn't help but get more confused.
'Also, why do I feel like I have heard this voice many times before?' Abium creased his eyebrows and cast that thought away from his mind.
'The main problem is how much information did he spill to this evil organization.' Abium frowned while glancing at others.
"Do you have any guesses about this 'someone'?" Rilos asked with a frown. Rilos knew that no one from the organization revealed their identities and information to anyone and felt something was wrong.
'No, a small anomaly did happen.'
Rilos sharpened his gaze towards the blonde-haired young man and spoke coldly.
"It must be because of your father's and Bilet's foolishness, right? I told Bilet multiple times not to go after that elf, but not a single time he listened to my words. Because of this guy's action, Lord Nezad also came back from the dead before the arrival time and caused more trouble."
'Eh? Are they talking about me? Wait! Is he Viscount Gauvain's son Robert?' He drew a long breath and finally understood the situation.
'Wow! So, he isn't an arrogant prick but a scheming villain, huh?' At that moment, Abium realized that he had indeed underestimated Viscount Gauvain.
'It seems I also pretty much f*cked up their plans and made a mess.' Abium couldn't help but curl his lips upward under the devil mask.
After a short silence, Rilos sighed deeply and asked another question.
"So, did any of you guys find out about that elf's origin?"
"I met with him in the Magic Tower once, Lord Rilos. At that time, he was just a half-elf and looked weak. Although I tried to find more information about him by picking up a fight, a relative of mine intervened and spoiled my whole plan. Because of that, we have no information about his spells, artifacts, and even his origin. I also looked into academic purchase history and learned that Mage Zivior hadn't given any shackle potion to him." As Robert finished his words, the whole hall went abruptly silent.
'Bilet's also said that this Royal Elf cast fire-type spells during their first encounter and showed outstanding swordsmanship. To make things worse, he seems to be closer to the crown prince.' A frown appeared on Rilos's forehead.
"It seems the royal family wants to keep his identity very secretive. Well, even if they nurture other mages like him from unknown origin, they can do nothing but feel bitter because of the bloodline curse." Rilos muttered out loud, causing necromancers to become puzzled.
"Curse?" Yalya also showed a confused expression when she heard his words and tilted her head.
"It's a curse given by the Last Emperor of Bidora Empire," Rilos said and soon chuckled as he still noticed puzzlement in everyone's faces.
"Mage Novak mentioned in one of his scripts that the Bidora Emperor put a bloodline curse on the Royal Family members."
"Bloodline Curse?" Everyone in the hall shouted in shock.
Unlike the other curse spells, the Bloodline Curse magic spells were deadly and could affect their whole lineage!
Meanwhile, Rilos nodded his head and gave a short explanation.
"For some unknown reasons, the Last Emperor of Bidora Empire cast a deadly curse spell on the Peral kingdom's Royal family and four other families. Haven't you all wondered why there are no mages from the royal family? Yes, it was all because of the Last Emperor's curse!"
