'I understand.' Abium nodded inwardly and responded to Ubius's question.
"Actually, I already created more than twenty Zero-Tier spell scrolls, sir. Nowadays, I can feel the progress in creating spell scroll speed is improving at an incredible speed." Although he spoke in a boastful tone, it was indeed the truth.
"What?! Genius!" All of them widened their eyes in surprise and shock.
'Ridiculous! You don't even have a normal level talent to become an Alchemist!' Azolla couldn't help but retort.
"Can you show me any one of those scrolls?" Ubius's eyes lit up as he heard Abium's words and asked with keen interest. Meanwhile, Abium nodded and quickly took out one blink spell scroll from his spatial ring.
On the other hand, Ubius quickly grabbed the scroll from his hand and opened it. As he started analyzing the runic magic circle in the scroll, he frowned a bit and then nodded.
"You indeed have the good qualification to walk on the path of runes, lad. But you inscribed those rune characters very crudely. Unlike the normal characters in other languages, rune characters need to be drawn precisely. Even a slight extra stroke could change the different outcomes when using the scroll." He suddenly stopped when they were walking in the street and started to draw three rune characters in thin air. Then, he continued his explanation.
"See here. This single word means 'length.' But if you made a long stroke instead of a short one, then the whole meaning of this word will change into duration. Although you inscribed characters correctly, I can see many rune characters written clumsily."
Abium nodded in understanding.
Meanwhile, Ubius tapped his spatial ring and took out dozens of books. Without even giving Abium any chance to refute, Ubius began to speak while pushing those books to him,
"These are all my own collection about runes. If you want to become an Adept level rune mage like me, then you need to learn everything in these books. Although these books look small on outside, each book has been compressed using magic spell and have around 30,000 to 50,000 pages."
"First, I will tell you about what the Adept level is. Unlike Beginner rune mages, who could only create zero-tier spells, Adept level rune mages can create an artifact with a second-tier spell inscribed in it. Some geniuses could achieve this level even before becoming a Second-tier mage."
"Rune mages and Potion mages are precious treasures to every mage organization. If you can achieve the Adept level before becoming a second-tier mage, I will personally ask your teacher to send you to the Arcane Empire." Ubius said with a mischievous smile while giving a wink at Zivior.
"Don't put his last words to your heart, Abium. Although I have a deep connection with the Arcane Empire's Tower of Sun, I don't like-" Zivior was about to say something but suddenly stopped as he thought of something.
"Wait, I might reconsider if you did achieve that."
"Zivi!" Tabitha suddenly turned her head with a shocked face and stared at him with confusion. As Zivior noticed her gaze, he shook his head and said,
"It has been more than five centuries, old hag. I don't think our old enemies are still looking for us. Moreover, it is worth a try if my student can become an Adept level rune mage before becoming a second-tier mage." As he finished those words, everyone, including Ubius, stood there on the street with dumbfounded faces.
"Why are you speaking so confidently, Zivi?" After a short silence, Tabitha couldn't help but ask.
But unlike before, her words looked more solemn than ever.
"I went to visit a Seer to learn more about his identity," Zivior said while pointing his finger at Abium.
Meanwhile, Zivior's words even caused Abium to startle a bit.
'Seer? Why?' In truth, Seers were gifted people who could predict the future and could even see future visions like him.
"What did you find out?" For the first time, Ubius turned his face grave and asked hurriedly.
"Even he couldn't see through his past. He said that his future and past looked like a blank sheet."
"Blank sheet?" Tabitha raised her eyebrows in surprise and soon asked.
"That means he has that extraordinary power, am I right?"
On the other hand, Ubius couldn't understand a single word and asked in confusion.
"What the hell are you guys talking about?"
"She says this child can stop the Seers and Diviners from looking into his past and future."
Zivior stopped for a moment as he said that and turned his head towards Abium,
"Are you also a Seer?" His words shocked both Ubius and Abium.
After a short silence, Abium calmed down and nodded his head.
He had long expected that someone from Academy would be able to guess he must be a 'Seer' or 'Diviner' due to the past incidents. But he didn't expect that the first one who found this secret would be his teacher.
At that moment, Tabitha suddenly thought of the past incidents and soon widened her eyes.
"Crown Prince Huggin didn't get kidnapped not due to his luck but due to Abium's intervention, huh? Wait, does that mean Baron Auguinare was destined to die but got another chance?" Finally, she realized that his interference had already changed the enemy's plans.
"That explains everything. But why you didn't save the King?" She couldn't help but ask in puzzlement.
"It won't work that way, My lady. Although I could vaguely perceive danger along with some visions, I can't see all future visions." Abium answered quietly.
"Although we don't quite understand the power of Seers, it's good to have such ability users in our Academy. That way, Rath Institute Seer won't take advantage of us in the future."
Zivior stopped for a moment and soon spoke.
"Kid, don't reveal your Seer identity to anyone and try to solve the visions on your own. Haa! Things become more troublesome now." Saying so, Zivior glanced at Tabitha and spoke.
"I have decided to send him to the Arcane Empire once these problems are solved, Tabi. His mere existence in this kingdom would pose a threat to much evil organization's plans. If Light Church got this news, then I wouldn't be surprised if they put a high-level bounty on his head to nip him in the bud." His words caused Abium to puzzlement.
As if Zivior had already read his mind, he chuckled inwardly and spoke.
"Seers are the Light Church's first enemy, lad. Don't ask me why because even I don't know. Although they didn't say that out loud, I had heard about them sending assassins to kill all the rogue seers like you. Even the Seer of Rath Institute face countless assassinations every year."
'Assassinating the Seers? Why?'
Although Abium couldn't understand the reason for the Light Church's action, he understood the seriousness of this matter and decided to act more cautiously.
Meanwhile, Ubius let out a deep sigh and spoke,
"I planned on asking for some elemental crystal as a payment for those books, but I don't need it. Now, I think you had already understood the seriousness of your identity, right? Once we solve our problem with the necromancers, I will personally train you for a decade or two. You are just a beginner Rune mage now. In the Arcane Empire, only Expert level Rune mage and above have the real power and respect. Well, I will tell you more about that later!" Ubius said with a bright smile while waving his hand and soon started walking away.
Abium also realized that they had already entered Commoner's main street and bid his farewell to his teacher and others before going back to Black Street.
