Chapter 232: New Visions

A second later, Abium quickly opened his amber eyes and saw the changes in that bracelet. There was neither image of Myxenta nor any strange writings. Instead, that golden bracelet had a bright white star on the top and looked plain.

He also sensed that weak soul lying on his hand joyfully and acting like a pet, which baffled him a bit.

'Haha, you really did tame an intellectual artifact, kid. Excellent! If you have some time, try and collect other Miracle gold coins.' Azolla said with excitement.

Nodding, Abium silently put the Miracle star on his left hand and thought about tomorrow's plan. After he received a message from the goddess Nyara, Abium felt something was amiss.

'I don't know much about their real plan, but that's not a problem. Now, my goal is to snatch the 'Revival' power from Necromancer Rilos.' Abium's face turned solemn. After he met Necromancer Rilos at the secret meeting, he always thought of his title. Undying!

Abium knew Rilos got that title after he fought with Light Church's Archbishop Rafe and got himself completely burned to death. But after a few days, he somehow revived from death and showed the world that he was undying. But it wasn't the last time he got killed by the enemies. He resurrected more than five times after being killed by different enemies and shocked the whole world in the past. As he thought of that information, Abium made a wild guess.

'That Undying Rilos must have got some artifact or legacy after the incident of Royal prince's assassination. Moreover, I heard his body was devoured by fire whenever someone killed him, and not even his ash left in the end.'

'At least I can find clues about that artifact in the treasury and get it before he searches for it.' Abium thought to himself. Although he had this Miracle Star bracelet, he knew this artifact had its limitations. But if Abium gets his hand on that undying artifact, his life would be much safer.

As Abium was contemplating deeply, his eyes suddenly began to turn blurry.

A moment later, a few images flashed in front of his mind.

First was a vision of a grey goblin-faced monster! At that moment, it stood inside a ritual circle and seemed to be saying something. And, opposite to that creature was a black clouded figure. In the next few seconds, Abium noticed that figure suddenly grabbed something from the void and tossed a white petal-like thing toward the gray goblin-like monster. Then, the vision shattered like broken glasses and formed a new one. In this vision, a two-meter-tall demon with a cobra head stood proudly in front of him. But what baffled Abium a bit was that he was standing on the opposite side along with Necromancer Rilos and seemed to be confronting that creature!

He also noticed they were in some ruined temple and became more puzzled. Before he could understand anything, that image disappeared, and he returned to reality.

'What the hell was that? Future visions? I thought the visions would come randomly. But most of the visions I saw till now were somehow linked to dangers that could pose a threat to my life.' Abium felt confused.

'Did those visions appear due to the change of thoughts in my mind?' A strange thought crossed his mind.

Shaking his head, he let out a deep sigh and lay on the bed.

...

At the same time, the outskirts of Dewsummit City.

A tall, muscular man with short auburn hair and a girl who was around 20 years old with a black hood came out from the nearby woods and soon arrived closer to the northern city gate.

"This city looks busy," The muscular man muttered.

"Of course, it's the capital city, after all. So, why not just sneak inside?" Aliza frowned as she asked while sharpening her gaze towards the seven-meter tall city wall. The entire surrounding wall was lit with torches, and multiple guards stood with spears in their hands. But Aliza could tell they were just third-tier warriors, and she could easily control them.

"No. Don't use your spell inside this city, girl. Mages will notice your location." Bronze-skinned Ulzez said while shaking his head.

'My strength just restored to second-tier mage level after absorbing all the chaotic energy in the atmosphere for months. There are very few chaotic miasmas in this plane. I need the Academic mages' help if I want to kill that Blood child and return to the abyss.' Ulzez thought to himself and silently joined the queue.

"When will Blood Child come here? Can you able to convince the Academic mages?" Aliza slowly turned her gaze toward Ulzez and asked.

"I don't know. I made a spatial loop to trap that Blood child with the help of the dragon god's blessing stone and hide it on the beach. Once she comes near that trap, it will activate on its own and seal her in that loop spell for a few months. If my guess is right, she might have already entered that trap and been imprisoned there. As for asking for help from mages, I don't expect much from them. Well, we should learn one or two things about them first." Ulzez said with a chuckle. Although he was grinning outside, he felt a sense of urgency in his heart.

'To seal away that blood child, I used that precious dragon god's blessing stone. But that stone won't be able to hold her in the loop for too long. I need to think of a way and kill that child.' As he was muttering to himself, Ulzez suddenly frowned. At that moment, he felt an invisible power scanning him from afar.

'Hmm? It seems a troublemaker is lurking in this city.' Ulzez sighed and soon noticed darkness fading before giving birth to bright sunlight.

Screech!

The next instant, the giant metallic gate opened with a screeching sound. After that, both paid the right amount of toll and quietly entered the royal city.

"Where should we go now?" Aliza asked. Meanwhile, Ulzez instantly shifted his gaze toward the Commoners' District and smiled. Somehow, he felt that if he went there, something good would happen. But immediately, he turned gloomy as he noticed that it was an abnormal reaction from him.

'Someone is daring to manipulate me?! Who is he? How did he find out I came here?' Countless questions appeared inside his head. He knew the person who tried to manipulate him was not some random foe and frowned.

'Did he expect my arrival? Is he the one who manipulated the pirates to throw this girl into the devil sea and waited for her to release other prisoners?' Ulzez furrowed his brows and snorted coldly. He knew that was not impossible and thought Aliza's arrival at the underground prison might not be due to coincidence!

'Whoever you are, you made a big mistake, buddy.' Ulzez muttered with an evil grin and quickly spoke in a mocking tone.

"Come on! Let's go in this direction. I want to play along with the one who thinks he can control me."

"Huh-? What do you mean?" Aliza became startled as she saw Ulzez's evil grin and asked in puzzlement. But Ulzez didn't say anything and directly moved towards the correct place where that sneaky guy was directing him.

A few minutes later, both reached 21 Black Street and booked two rooms at the inn named Scar's Inn.
