Without delay, Abium retracted his weapon, disappeared from there, and reappeared behind Bilet.
Simultaneously, he made a swirling sword stance and swiftly decapitated the broken death knight.
After that, he once again thrust his sword towards Bilet.
But unlike before, he aimed his sword at Bilet's head.
A moment later, the sharp sword tip tore through the air, penetrated Bilet's skull in a blink, and reappeared on the front side.
But Abium didn't stop there, though. Instead, he withdrew his sword at an incredible speed and slashed his sword at the apprentice necromancer's nape. His red aura-coated sword tore through the air while making a whizzing sound and swiftly decapitated Bilet's head.
A second later, Bilet's head and the body fell, leaving a loud thud behind.
Simultaneously, Abium took five steps back and backed away from Bilet's corpse, fearing a corpse explosion.
At the same time, he tapped his chest region and activated the single defensive 'Wind Shield' spell.
Although no corpse explosion happened from Bilet's dead body, Abium saw a large amount of fire-elemental energy gathered around Watson's right fist and formed into a unique orange orb-like structure.
A moment later, a raging fire-elemental blast came from Watson and moved towards him at an incredible speed.
While moving, the fire also burned Bilet's head and soon collided with Abium's 'Wind Shield' spell.
The fire burned fiercely and tried to break the [Wind Shield] spell but couldn't.
Ultimately, it only managed to burn Bilet's head and left an empty skull behind.
"That was close!" Abium muttered out loud as he stared at the scorched ground in surprise and cast the [Blink] spell again.
As his figure started to disappear, the Silver Knight used his unique wind skill and arrived beside him instantly.
Simultaneously, he moved his broadsword and slashed at Abium's neck in anger.
Alas, his sword only cut through the air, making another whizzing sound.
It all happened in three seconds; it caused Watson and the silver knight Rainer to halt their movement.
"That mage Bilet you were so proud of didn't help us. He died so quickly. Tsk." Rainer clicked his tongue in annoyance and turned around.
Meanwhile, Watson kicked the lifeless body with anger and frustration.
Once he confirmed no response came from the body, he sighed helplessly.
He also didn't think the apprentice necromancer would die so quickly and felt betrayed by the organization.
'He died without giving us a chance to attack this elf.' Watson muttered to himself.
Then, both shifted their gaze towards their left side and saw Abium standing on the dirt road with a smile.
'He won't rise again, right?' Abium asked as he gazed at the headless corpse.
'He is dead for sure, lad.' Azolla said in his head.
After confirming that the apprentice necromancer had died for good, he breathed a sigh of relief and finally shifted his attention towards Watson and the Silver Knight.
During all this time, he didn't consider them a threat and told Azolla to warn him whenever they attacked.
Just as he had expected, they acted a little late and gave enough time for him to kill the most formidable opponent.
As he was thinking, Abium noticed a change in the surroundings. Wind-elemental energy whirled around the silver knight, creating a strange armor around his chest.
A second later, the silver knight took a step forward, enveloping his sword in a yellowish red aura, and sprinted towards him at an incredible speed.
By the look of the unique sword aura, Abium concluded that he was on the verge of breaking through the realm of Advanced Swordsman!
As Rainer was moving, thundering roaring noises echoed from the sky and subconsciously caused Abium to activate the 'Seer's Intuition' spell.
'No danger from the Silver Knight?' He got startled deeply and thought something went wrong with the spell.
At that moment, the silver knight Rainer had arrived 2 meters away from his left side and raised his sword to make a vertical slash attack.
'Movement type of skill.' Abium barely captured the silver knight's movement speed and got worried inside.
'He is moving faster.'
Meanwhile, Rainer suddenly turned blurry, disappeared from there, and arrived right behind Abium in a flash!
Sensing the danger, Abium also turned around in anxiety and got ready to cast the 'Dark Bind' spell on the Silver Knight.
But before he could do so, a flash of light blinded his vision.
Sizzzzz!
At that moment, a bolt of blue lightning appeared from the sky and fell on the Silver Knight's head, leaving a thundering noise behind.
The bluish bolt of lightning spread through the Silver Knight's body and burned him from inside instantly, leaving smoke behind.
Both Watson and Abium got stunned at the sudden change of events and almost forgot that they were battling.
But unlike Watson, Abium kept a poker face and masked his shocked face.
'Something is not right about that blue lightning!'
That was the first thought that came to Abium's mind as he saw the motionless silver knight falling backward.
'Azolla, did you notice anything odd about that blue lightning?' Abium asked with puzzlement.
'No, kid. It must be a coincidence.' A swift reply came from Azolla, which made his mind calm down a little.
Then, he turned around, glanced back at his group members, and noticed they had also finished their battle.
But they, too, stood with stupefied faces and appeared shocked by the appearance of the bluish lightning.
Shaking his head, Abium held his weapon tighter and shifted his gaze towards Watson, now standing with wide-opened eyes.
Unlike before, nervousness could be seen on Watson's face. After all, who in the right might could keep a composed face after seeing his partner being struck down by a bolt of lightning?
'What is this magic?! I never heard of an apprentice mage controlling weather and creating lightning strikes!'
As he was in shock, Abium arched his lips upward and asked icily.
"Shall we finish our game, Watson?"
Hiding his nervousness, Watson took a deep breath and muttered.
"That's the reason I came here anyway,"
Simultaneously, he looked at Abium's group with little confusion and furrowed.
"How are they still alive? Didn't they die at the Baxbron Wood during the goblin ambush incident?" He felt something was wrong with the whole situation and grew fearful inside.
"Well, I saved them." Noticing Watson's confusion, Abium gave him a short answer and sprinted forward to thrust his short sword at Watson's heart.
"But I have never seen an elf in the Roseglen city during the last two years, though." Watson blocked his attack and backed away with a vigilant expression. There were too many puzzles, which made him more restless.
"Who are you?" After a few seconds of parrying, Watson distanced himself from Abium and asked in a grave tone.
"Haha, would you believe me if I said I worked as a servant in Viscount's house?" Abium asked with a laugh.
"As if I would buy such a blunt lie?" Watson coldly snorted and started attacking Abium faster.
Clang! Clang. Clang!
Within a few seconds, both exchanged their blows, and sparks flew everywhere whenever their sword met.
"Why are you so persistent about killing me?" Abium asked.
Except for that unexpected encounter in the Baxbron woods, both had no bad history.
Also, it was their fault for trying to kill him when they first met him in the woods.
"Of course, I also hold a little grudge for what you did to me in the woods. But this time, it's an order from above."
'Order, huh!'
As Abium recalled the information about the 'Order of the Dead' organization, he quickly noticed Watson taking out a poisonous knife and throwing it at him.
'This guy is like Viscount Gauvain — like a snake, waiting for a perfect opportunity to attack.'
"Playing tricks again?" Abium teleported behind Watson while evading the poisonous knife and thrusting his sword from the other side. Meanwhile, Watson made a swift slash and parried.
"So, who is the client? Is it Viscount or the Order of the dead members?" Abium asked like an old friend.
"Hm? It's from the Order of the Dead organization. They sent us here to kill you." Watson didn't hide anything and answered calmly.
Abium frowned.
"Are they trying to cause chaos during the upcoming Grand Nobles' Gathering? What is their goal?" He probed further and observed Watson's expression.
Meanwhile, Watson's face went stiffened up.
He looked into Abium's amber eyes while parring and felt his two eyes look like a bottomless pit filled with secrets.
"But why are they targeting me? I didn't show my support to anyone, right?" Noticing the silence, Abium asked further and knitted his eyebrows.
A wry smile appeared on Watson's face as he heard Abium's words.
"Hah, did you forget what happened during the banquet? Everyone saw that you and Crown Prince Huggin acted like lifelong friends. We were completely clueless about your origin after you showed your appearance in the Baxbron woods, the Dust Gate town, and the Bare Keep town, which caused numerous changes in everyone's plan. But after the banquet, everything became very clear to us. The Crown Prince must have sent you to Baxbron woods to gather intelligence about us, isn't it?"
Abium was lost for words at Watson's and the organization's judgment.
