Chapter 39: The Wedding Arc: Two
Tyler was cleaning up the kitchen one afternoon when he felt piss running down his leg.
"Oh no!" He held onto his stomach and ran into the living room where Sasha was taking a nap. "Sasha, SASHA!"
Sasha awoke falling off the couch and hitting her head on the coffee table. She looked up at her Omega.
"My water broke!"
Sasha quickly got up and started running around. Tyler watched Sasha run past him into the kitchen where she got the keys from the counter board. She ran outside, closed the door, started the car then left.
Tyler waddled over to the door and opened it only to see Sasha pulled back in the driveway. She got out the car and helped Tyler into the passenger seat. She ran back inside and got Jaden carrying her in the baby carrier.
Sasha drove quickly to the hospital where Tyler was taken into labor. She waited eight long hours waiting, waiting to find out if he was okay, if the baby was okay. All the while, she sat with Jaden until Donald and Theresa showed up to take Jaden.
"What is she doing here?" Sasha asked to her father.
"I’m here to help," Theresa said. She reached out to grab Jaden but Sasha backed away from her. "No."
Donald and Theresa exchanged looks. He didn’t blame his daughter for feeling the way she did especially after finding out what Theresa had done to Sune Joon.
Donald reached for Jaden who Sasha allowed him to take her. She looked at her father then to her mother. Her eyes went back to her father, anxiety washing over her.
"I don’t trust her around my child," Sasha exclaimed to her dad.
"I won’t let her get near Jaden. I’ll take her to my parents’ house out to the farm."
Sasha allowed Jaden to slip from her arms. The doctor walked to her, clearing his throat.
"You can come see him now." The doctor said.
Lacy looked in the mirror at the bridal store. This time she was with Salmona and Samantha. Just a couple of weeks prior, they had gone shopping for what they were going to wear with Salmona and Samantha going to the mall while Lacy went out with Theresa.
Her phone sounded off. "Can one of yall get that?" She asked.
It was actually not her phone that went off but the twins. Salmona looked at the text and smiled. "Yo, Tyler had his baby."
"No way!"
Lacy ran over to Salmona and pulled her arm down so she could get a look at the text.
"Oof."
She read it and smiled brightly, dancing around the fitting room that was big enough for ten people.
"We gotta go, we gotta go!"
Samantha got up waving her arms around. "Yeah but do you like the dress?"
Lacy stopped bouncing and went back to the mirror. Tyler had his baby early. It wasn’t suppose to be due for another month or so. Her eyebrows contorted, there must have been something that set it off. Hopefully nothing too detrimental.
"Hmm," she pondered, twirling around with her dress widening out. "I don’t know..." She turned to her Alphas. "Do you like it?"
The twins exchanged looks and shrugged their shoulders. Lacy slouched over, not really sure what to think of this dress. She began to take it off, shaking her head. It didn’t make her feel special and it didn’t get her Alphas excited.
She stepped out of it and placed it back on its hanger. "No, I don’t want it."
The twins and Lacy walked to their car, well, Lacy ran to the car and hopped into the back seat. She placed her seat belt on.
"Alright, Samantha, hit it!"
Samantha laughed at her Omega. "He’s not going anywhere. We’ll be there, chill!"
Tyler held the baby boy in his arms. He was sweating and hot, but overjoyed with glee. He looked up at Sasha who was also gleaming ear to ear. This was their first child together!
Sasha wiped a tear from her eye and waved the nurse aside to allow their friends and family in. Salmona, Samantha, and Lacy entered into the room. They walked slowly to the bed and waved to Tyler.
Lacy reached over and hugged Tyler while the sisters slapped Sasha on the back congratulating her.
"So...boy or girl?" Samantha asked.
"Boy."
"Do you think he’s gonna be an Alpha or?" Samantha asked.
Sasha shrugged her shoulders, overall just happy that her husband and child came out okay. They already knew what they were going to name him: Jacob. It was their plan for all the kids to have names that started with J.
Tyler held the baby up and allowed Lacy to hold him. She smiled, looking at her Alphas. The wedding was fast appoarching and soon, she would be getting off birth control.
She handed the baby to Samantha who then handed it to Salmona, each of them getting a chance to be with their nephew.
Lacy wiped her eyes because of the tears that started to come down. She was so proud of Tyler, everything that he went through, she was so happy for him. That he was able to finally have some peace.
She walked to her Alphas and gave them a hug each. It was moments like these that made her grateful.
Sune Joon sat on the couch wiping his tears away. Since he got to Cameran’s house, he had been crying especially since it was on the news his house had burned down.
Outside, snow sprinkled against the window, streaking the glass like smudged white ink drawing on a canvas. Cameran slid a steaming mug across the coffee table without a word, the bitter scent of coffee cutting through the stale air. Sune Joon’s fingers trembled around the warmth, his reflection warped and fractured in the dark liquid.
"Reporters kept calling," Cameran murmured, leaning against the doorframe. "I told them to leave you alone." His voice was low, deliberate, but Sune Joon caught the flicker of exhaustion in his eyes, a tightness around the mouth that hadn’t been there yesterday. The unspoken question hung between them: Who would torch an empty house?
Sune Joon’s throat tightened. It was a question he was unable to answer. The house was just fine the previous night and earlier that morning.
He leaned back into the couch and took a sip of the hot liquid. Cameran sat beside him, placing his hand on Sune June’s thigh. "Its gonna be okay."
Sune Joon looked at the Beta then smiled. The Beta moved in closer to him, not trying to do anything, not trying to touch him but just letting him know that he was there.
Ring, ring!
Sune leaned over to pick up the phone.
"Tyler had the baby," Sasha said on the other end. "Mother isn’t here. Do you want to come to the hospital and see him?"
Sune Joon gulped. He nodded but then realized that Sasha couldn’t see his response so he responded back. He looked at Camera and with a silence that touched them both like a candle going through darkness, Sune Joon stood up.
"Can we go to the hospital? My brother in law gave birth?"
Lacy walked out to the hospital parking lot and waved to Kareen. She had pulled up to come visit Tyler. Samantha and Salmona had left but Lacy stayed behind to greet Clara and Kareen.
Kareen got out of the truck and hugged Lacy, having not seen her in a while and the two having not spoken. The two held hands as they walked back to the hospital doors, some what taboo for a non mated pair. Lacy was feeling giddy though after seeing her friend in such a good state that she just wanted to be closer to her other friends.
"I’m sorry I missed your calls a few weeks ago. I tried do call back but got nothing."
Lacy listened to Kareen but waved her off in a non dismissive manner. Lacy had been so busy with her wedding that she wasn’t able to partake in many things. She predicted things were going to get even more busy once she was married...kids.
"So are you excited for your wedding?" Kareen asked. The two of them were standing at the vending machine in the front entrance of the hospital. Kareen got herself a soft drink that she also got for Lacy.
The Alpha and Omega walked over to a spot for them to talk. Lacy sighed after taking a sip of the soda.
"Welp, Im nervous about everything...especially about Samantha. She’s been so hot and cold and refusing therapy. Its a lot."
The soda was cold against Lacy’s palm and she wiped her hand on her jeans to dry them, followed by taking another sip of soda. She looked around, watching nurses and doctors tend to patients, the sound of babies crying just from a far.
"Hey..."
Lacy turned to face Kareen, their faces rather close to one another that Lacy felt her face getting warm.
"You’re going to make an amazing mother and an amazing bearer." Kareen said, giving her a kiss on the forehead, then holding her face. Lacy couldn’t help but lean into the palm of Kareen’s hand and rest her head.
