Chapter 78 Knows a Lot
Ye Shenge paid no mind to Ye Wife’s glare. She was a good-for-nothing, but not so much that she couldn’t handle an old woman.
“Grandma, your throat should be able to speak after resting. Make sure to beg them properly later, or I won’t have a father anymore.”
Ye Wife trembled as she pointed at Ye Shenge.
“You, you, our family has truly raised an ungrateful wretch.”
Ye Shenge shrugged. Say whatever you want, I’m leaving soon anyway.
Seeing Ye Shenge’s attitude, Ye Wife was so angered she almost couldn’t breathe. If it weren’t for the monthly living expenses, she would have kicked her out right now. Thinking of her son, she turned back into the house dejectedly, took some money from a box and put it in her pocket, not forgetting to lock the box again.
Ye Shenge leaned against the doorframe, watching Ye Wife leave. After a moment’s thought, she also left the yard. Her footsteps, however, were much faster than before.
Soon, she arrived near the warehouse and found Luo Hansheng in the bushes.
“Why are you here? It’s too sunny, hurry home and rest.”
Ye Shenge found Luo Hansheng to be a bit too talkative. She had come for a reason.
“Can you find someone who can pick locks?”
Luo Hansheng was already immune to the tasks Ye Shenge assigned him. No matter how bizarre, he could accept it.
“Yes, I can. Do you need them now?”
“Now. And quickly.”
“Then let’s go.”
As Luo Hansheng said this, he quietly emerged from the bushes. Ye Shenge casually told him the address.
“I’ll go there first. Find the person and come find me.”
Luo Hansheng nodded and didn’t say much, just kept following Ye Shenge. But as Ye Shenge walked, she felt something was off. They were almost home, why was he still with her?
“Does the person you need to find live nearby?”
Luo Hansheng felt a little embarrassed to say. After all, this skill wasn’t exactly honorable.
“Ahem, I can do it.”
Ye Shenge raised her eyebrows. He knows quite a lot. Good.
“What else can you do? Tell me everything at once so I don’t have to find someone else next time.”
Luo Hansheng scratched his head. He didn’t know what other skills he had.
“I can fight, I can pick locks, and can eating count?”
Ye Shenge choked for a moment, then nodded in satisfaction after a while.
“Not bad. You can also climb walls and track. And being able to eat is a blessing, I can afford it. Work hard in the future.”
The two soon arrived at Ye Wife’s house. Ye Shenge bolted the door and led Luo Hansheng directly to work.
“Open this door first.”
Let’s see Luo Hansheng’s skill. She wouldn’t climb in through the window today.
Luo Hansheng took out a set of small iron rods from his pocket, thick and thin, clearly professional tools.
Ye Shenge became increasingly curious about Luo Hansheng. His personality was nothing like someone who usually did this.
Before Ye Shenge could ponder further, the door opened. This was the first time the original owner had walked into this room so openly.
“Not bad, skilled work.”
Ye Shenge kicked the two boxes on the ground. Luo Hansheng, in just a few moments, had them pried open.
Ye Shenge wasted no time. She took out a small towel from her bag and handed it to Luo Hansheng.
“Wipe everywhere you touched just now.”
Luo Hansheng looked at Ye Shenge as she took out a pair of thin gloves from her bag and put them on. He was puzzled but didn't ask. The things his employer did were always strange.
Ye Shenge lifted the lid of a box and quickly searched. She intended to find the household registration today. Being held hostage by her lifeline always made her feel insecure.
Soon, Ye Shenge found the household registration book. She flipped it open and saw only her and the old lady’s names. Having accomplished this, Ye Shenge didn’t touch anything else. She didn’t want to lose sight of the bigger picture now.
