Chapter 101 Feast Time

Chapter 101 Eating Like a Big Spender

Ye Shenge nodded in disappointment. Even if she didn't understand, after nearly twenty years of illness in her previous life, couldn't she be given a healthy body in this new life? The transmigration deities were not considerate at all. They brought her whole family here without any benefits. Even the space and the supplies within it were things she already had from her previous life. How stingy and miserly!

Ye Mu'en sighed. An illness that couldn't be cured in her previous life would be even more dangerous in this backward world. Not wanting his sister to be disappointed, he quickly changed the subject, deciding they would find a way later.

"Don't overthink it for now. Big Brother will go out and check on that unfortunate fellow."

Han Yuyan, who had been forgotten all along, was finally remembered. Ye Mu'en approached him with a flashlight and even kicked him. It seemed he had been electrocuted quite severely, which served as compensation for offending his sister with his words.

"Big Brother, what should we do with this person? We absolutely cannot let him off the hook for tracking me. When he wakes up, we'll give him some torture and force him to reveal everything he knows."

Ye Mu'en looked at his somewhat violent sister with helplessness. If his mother knew his sister had become like this due to circumstances, she would be heartbroken again.

"This guy is my friend, and he was also the original body's close friend and comrade-in-arms. He must have come tonight to find me."

"What! How could you know someone so detestable?"

Ye Shenge was a bit annoyed. Her elder brother was really not picky anymore. In the past, all of his friends were handsome and powerful individuals.

"Hahaha, Han Yuyan isn't actually detestable. He just has a negative emotional quotient."

Ye Shenge instantly understood and pointed at the person on the ground with a helpless gesture.

"What do we do now? I think I might have shocked him a bit too hard."

"Don't worry about him. Let's eat first. Big Brother is hungry and hasn't had anything good to eat in a long time."

Seeing the light, Ye Mu'en knew his sister's space had followed them. He immediately thought of the food stocked inside and started to drool. For days, even with money and ration coupons, they couldn't get good food, as supplies were scarce everywhere.

Ye Shenge quickly pulled her elder brother into the house, not forgetting to close the door. Ye Mu'en watched as his sister waved her hand and produced a table and chairs, a proud smile on her face.

"Big Brother, please place your order. Anything you can think of, I can produce."

Ye Mu'en playfully flicked his sister's cute upturned nose. He knew best what was in her space, as he had taken her to collect things every day.

"Alright then, I'll eat like a big spender today. A plate of roast duck, salted pepper mantis shrimp, braised pork intestines, three kinds of stir-fried vegetables, and a bowl of pigeon soup."

"Coming right up, sir. Please wait a moment."

With just a thought, Ye Shenge could retrieve items from her space. The four dishes and one soup were quickly placed on the table. These were prepared by their mother's chef out of concern that her daughter might go hungry if she couldn't cook.

"Big Brother, do you want beer or wine?"

"Beer, ice-cold."

Ye Mu'en had already rolled up his sleeves and started eating. It was the familiar taste from before. He silently thanked the heavens again for his sister's space.

Ye Shenge also happily drank her juice and ate her food, especially enjoying her elder brother peeling shrimp for her. This was the happiest day she had experienced since coming to this world, and the most satisfying meal she had eaten.

However, they both completely forgot about the unfortunate person lying outside, and neither of them thought about whether he was hungry. The pitiable Han Yuyan would only realize in the days to come that nothing good ever happened when he encountered these two siblings. He suffered with joy, for he himself was willing to endure it.
