The wall, by all accounts, should have had something hanging on it before, and judging by the marks, it looked like a portrait.
But it must have been taken by someone.
Beneath the stone platform was a prayer mat, presumably used for people to kneel and pay respects when offering incense.
Shen Zhi walked around, observing carefully, but found no mechanisms or secret doors.
"Did we take the wrong path?" Shen Zhi asked. When we first arrived here, there was a fork in the road, and we chose one path, which led us to this place.
But there were no treasures left here. Could it be that the real treasures were on the other path?
However, I couldn't be sure at this point. The only questionable things in this room seemed to be the stone platform and the incense burner.
I walked over to take a look and found that there was still some incense beneath the incense burner.
Since we were already here, it wouldn't hurt to light some incense.
I knelt directly on the prayer mat, lit a few sticks of incense, bowed respectfully, and then inserted them into the incense burner.
Then I stepped back and bowed deeply.
As I bowed, I suddenly noticed something beneath the stone platform.
I looked down and saw a line of small characters underneath.
The font was not one we used now, but I could clearly understand the meaning it conveyed.
"Kowtow one hundred times!"
I froze.
What was going on? I didn't even know who the other party was, and they were demanding a hundred kowtows?
I was puzzled. I naturally wouldn't kowtow for no reason, so I thought about it and stood up.
A faint fragrance permeated the entire room. The incense in the burner burned slowly, and suddenly I felt a wave of dizziness wash over me.
"There's something wrong!" I exclaimed.
I had been tricked by fragrance before, so I was extremely nervous, unsure of what would happen next.
Shen Zhi looked at me: "Brother Lu, what's wrong? I don't feel anything wrong."
"Aren't you dizzy?" I asked.
"No..." Shen Zhi shook his head. "This fragrance smells quite pleasant..."
Just as I was about to say more, I suddenly felt an unbearable heaviness in my head. I desperately tried to channel the Mu Divine Power to keep myself conscious, but found I could do nothing.
Instinctively, I took two steps back and then collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.
Before I completely lost consciousness, I clearly saw Shen Zhi rushing towards me in a panic, his face filled with urgency and concern.
Then, my world went completely black.
To be honest, I had experienced things like this before, not once or twice. It was the same when I met the Shepherd; I would wander in darkness for a long time.
But this time, to my surprise, my body was completely immobile.
My body felt as if it were completely bound.
