Chapter 576 The Mysterious Room

I scanned my surroundings again, finding no other signs. It seemed unlikely anyone else would be here.

Normally, if wild animals were involved, the destruction would be more severe.

Compared to that, the possibility of some beast causing this damage seemed more plausible.

With that thought, I stopped hesitating and began searching the area below.

Indeed, beneath the overgrown weeds, I discovered an opening.

The entrance wasn't large; one would have to crawl to get inside.

I crouched down and took a look, noticing signs of disturbed ground.

"What's going on? It feels like someone's been in here," I muttered, frowning.

This was a deserted island, and on such a place, many traces would remain for a long time.

Dust and moss wouldn't be disturbed.

But this opening was clearly damaged by something.

"In such a small place, I imagine only some wild beast could get in," Number One said, frowning.

Though I had my doubts, I had to investigate due to the faint sense of familiarity.

Without another word, I began crawling into the opening.

Number One quickly followed.

It was indeed a narrow passage, requiring considerable effort to navigate.

I could vaguely feel a breeze from ahead. If nothing else, there was likely an exit, or something else present.

I picked up my pace.

Even so, it took me nearly five minutes of crawling before I reached the interior of the cave.

Before me lay a vast space.

It was probably the size of a football field. Vines extended from the surroundings, and the walls were covered in various plants and flowers.

Faint traces of water flow were also visible.

Our current position was rather awkward.

If I had to describe it, we were roughly halfway up the height of this chamber.

The opening we crawled through felt like a rat hole.

But I wasn't in the mood to dwell on such things. After emerging from the hole, I leaped down.

With my current physical condition, this height was no issue.

Number One soon climbed out as well. Seeing the surroundings, he clearly froze for a moment, glancing around before following my leap.

I carefully observed the environment; this place truly astonished me.

Such a large area, with remarkably smooth walls, didn't feel natural.

But who would build such a place in this location?

And judging by the sheer scale of this space, I couldn't even begin to guess its purpose.

For watching games? There was no seating for spectators.

For growing things? What could possibly grow in such an environment? Moreover, the soil below wasn't suitable for plants.

After much thought, the only plausible idea was that this place was used to contain something.

I scanned the surroundings, finding no obvious exits. The area was covered in vines, obscuring many traces.

"What is this place?" Number One asked, frowning.

"Didn't you discover it?" I asked with a smile.

"I found this place because of that fluctuation... At first, I thought it was a hallucination, but only after sensing a similar fluctuation from you did I confirm something was definitely here..." Number One explained hurriedly.

"Logically, this place should be man-made, but..." I looked around. To artificially construct such a large space would require advanced technology, like excavators and cranes.

After all, this place was nearly twenty meters high.

Without some high-tech tools, building something like this would have taken an inordinate amount of time.

"What is this..." Number One continued to look around, seemingly searching for something.

I observed the surroundings carefully, then closed my eyes, concentrating on any changes.

Here, apart from the trees and vines, there were no other anomalies.

In the far left corner, there was a blocked door. Judging by its orientation, it was likely the entrance.

If we hadn't entered through the stone hole, we should have come through that door...

Number One looked around and whispered, "Strange..."
