The moment I summoned the power of the Shepherd God, as it surged from my body, I was stunned.
If the Shepherd God's power was a mere trickle before, it was now a torrent gushing from my eyes!
Feeling the surging energy within me, a look of excitement spread across my face.
"This is too incredible, isn't it?" Uncontainable joy welled up inside me, and at this moment, I could clearly feel that my body seemed to be filled with strength.
Most importantly, my strength had increased, and my body had become lighter. Without even thinking about speed, it was bound to have improved dramatically.
It was a pity there was no mirror here, so I couldn't see the changes in my tattoos.
However, since I now possessed the power of the Shepherd God, it meant that this place was not an inescapable trap.
I gathered the Shepherd God's power within my body and then spread it outwards.
The instant my Shepherd God's power touched the walls, the patterns on them emitted a faint glow.
Then these lights slid rapidly, finally connecting into a single expanse at a certain moment.
The four walls, the ceiling, and the floor, all the patterns on them emitted a soft radiance simultaneously.
A pale green light scattered throughout the room, and I had to admit it was an unprecedentedly beautiful sight.
Looking at the surroundings, a look of excitement was on my face. This environment made me feel unprecedentedly comfortable.
Just then, I suddenly felt something brush against me. Turning around, I saw a pattern on one of the walls dim.
It was a pattern of an apple.
Immediately after, the pattern of an orange also dimmed, and the light from it transformed into a stream that struck my body.
It was very gentle, yet I felt a clear touch.
Then, the surrounding patterns extinguished one by one: the coconut tree, the wild deer, the lion, the spring...
The lights, from all directions, poured into my body.
That sensation was beyond words; I only felt my body continuously being filled.
When all the patterns had extinguished, the entire room also grew dark.
I looked around in surprise. At this moment, I couldn't sense any other presence.
In that instant, the surrounding walls suddenly collapsed.
I quickly retreated a few steps, ready to defend myself.
A soft, bright light penetrated, and for a moment, my eyes couldn't quite adjust.
Just then, a voice echoed out: "Shepherd God, God of the Earth, all things can become gods..."
The voice was intermittent, and I couldn't even discern if the speaker was male or female.
I frowned, just about to speak again, when the voice suddenly became clear. I could clearly hear a gentle female voice reaching my mind.
"Do you wish to be the sole god protecting all things, or for all things to become gods and resist the enemy together?"
Hearing this voice, I paused.
Then, without hesitation, I replied, "All things can become gods. Therefore, I choose to resist the enemy together!"
The moment my words fell, something seemed to drift out of my body.
I glanced down and saw an ancient, weathered book floating directly in front of me. Then, an intangible force emanated from my body.
As this force appeared, a massive spider materialized before me.
This spider looked exceptionally ferocious, its fangs bared and claws extended, its entire body black.
Before I could examine it closely, a dazzling light radiated from the ancient book, enveloping the spider.
Then, everything returned to stillness.
"Is that it?" I frowned, and to be honest, up to this point, I still hadn't figured out what had happened.
And what was that choice given to me?
And what about that spider?
I was puzzled, but it seemed there was no one here to answer me.
Furthermore, I was surprised to find that the surroundings no longer felt as intense as before.
That sense of affinity with the Shepherd God's power had disappeared.
"Did I achieve my goal?" I frowned, having no clue at this moment.
Just then, my gaze fell forward, and I vaguely saw two figures.
Without a moment's hesitation, I rushed forward. Upon closer inspection, Number One and Number Four lay on the ground, their faces bearing serene smiles.
It seemed they were having a beautiful dream.
"This..." I was somewhat surprised. A quick glance revealed that neither of them was injured; they seemed to have simply fallen asleep.
I didn't wake them immediately. Instead, I sat down beside them, carefully recalling everything that had happened.
These jumbled events were strung together, and I couldn't find any connection between them. And the result I most desired had not been achieved!
