"I want to know where he is now..." I said.
These five people were all a huge threat. Four had been found, and I didn't want the last one to still pose a danger to me.
"Honestly, I'm not entirely sure either..." Number One gave an awkward smile. "The reason we fell out was that I advocated for lurking around, observing the situation before acting, but Number Four thought it was too much of a waste of time..."
Upon hearing this, my expression instantly tensed.
If that were the case, it would mean Number Four was likely already preparing to act!
"Let's go!" I stood up immediately. "Back to the camp!"
Hearing this, Lin Chun's expression also changed; he too realized something was amiss.
"Let's go immediately!" Lin Chun said, abandoning everything else and turning to head back to the camp.
Number Three scrambled to his feet, haphazardly grabbing some octopus legs and the like. He glanced back at Number One. "Help me carry some stuff..."
Seeing this, Number One gave a helpless smile, picked up the remaining octopus legs, and ran forward with us.
We were still quite far from the camp. At full speed, Number One and Number Three could barely keep up with me, but Lin Chun couldn't.
After running for about an hour, he was already panting and had fallen far behind us.
At our current pace, he would be completely outdistanced before long.
"You guys rest here. Just follow behind. I'll go ahead and check the situation!" I said. "Your pace is too slow; you can't keep up with me!"
Number One glanced at me. "I'll go with you!"
Number Three hesitated for a moment, then stopped and ran back towards Lin Chun. "I'll go with Brother Chun!"
Lin Chun gave me a somewhat apologetic look. "I'm sorry, my speed is really..."
"It's enough. You guys wait here and slowly make your way to the camp," I said, feeling an extreme sense of urgency.
If anything happened to Luo Yaqin, I might go mad.
I glanced at Number One, my expression becoming extremely serious. "Keep up with me at your fastest!"
"Don't worry, don't underestimate me. I'm very strong too!" Number One replied.
At this point, I couldn't worry about anything else and sprinted forward at my fastest speed.
With the power of the Shepherd God covering my body, my speed was pushed to its limit.
Initially, Number One could still keep up, a faint smile on his face.
But after running for about ten minutes, the smile vanished. He could feel that even though he was exerting himself to his fullest, he still couldn't catch up to me.
"At this speed, I can't look after you anymore. The general direction is this way; just keep going straight, and you'll see my camp!" I didn't hold back either, pushing my speed to the extreme.
Number One gritted his teeth, trying to catch up.
However, after a few minutes, a considerable distance had opened up between us.
After crossing two mountains, he had completely disappeared behind me.
I ran all the way, advancing at my fastest pace. By the time I arrived, it was already noon.
From a distance, I could see the outline of the camp. With my eyesight, I could naturally see what was happening inside.
I could still see people patrolling the city walls, observing the surroundings.
It seemed like someone was still watering and fertilizing the vegetable patch we had planted.
Seeing this scene, my heart settled a little.
No matter what, there hadn't been any large-scale destruction, which meant nothing too serious had happened here.
It was a good thing that everyone could still live and work in peace.
But I was still somewhat uneasy, unsure of what Number Four might do.
I rushed to the camp at my fastest speed. As soon as I reached the entrance, a mercenary patrolling the city wall immediately yelled out.
Instantly, at least ten guns were pointed at me.
Seeing such a high level of alertness, I was quite pleased. "Good job, but it's me who's back!"
Upon hearing this, the mercenary on the city wall immediately reacted, a joyous smile on his face. "Brother Ye!"
"Open the gate," I said. Although I could jump over, this was a city now.
The gate was opened quickly, and the mercenary scrambled down from the wall, looking excited to see me.
The mercenary smiled and said to me, "Brother Ye, weren't you..."
Before he could finish, I interrupted him directly. "Where is Luo Yaqin?"
"Sister Yaqin?" Hearing this, the mercenary's expression turned slightly odd.
"What happened?" I asked with a grim face. "Tell me quickly!"
"This..." The mercenary hesitated, only able to look at me innocently.
Seeing this, I could no longer hold back and rushed towards where we lived at my fastest speed!
