Chapter 523 The Proof of Vichy

The man was powerfully built, yet his gait was remarkably peculiar, identical to the two before him.

It was too perfect, making him seem less like a normal person.

"Look at this!" Vixi exclaimed, pointing at the man before me. "This is the result of my experiment!"

"And then?"

"A few months ago, this fellow was just a homeless man weighing less than fifty kilograms. But now, his combat power has reached a terrifying level!" Vixi said, casually picking up a steel pen from the table and handing it to the man.

The man took it, gripped the pen in his hand, and slowly closed both hands.

Immense strength surged forth. I could feel a pale green light flickering around his body, though it was unstable.

Not long after, the man released his grip. The pure steel pen had been compressed to the size of a thumb, reduced to a lump of scrap metal.

"Did you see that clearly?" Vixi asked. "This is only a semi-finished product. If it is successful, I believe we can control a formidable team. If you're willing, the two of us can cooperate. I'll consider everything that happened before as if it never occurred!"

A chill ran down my spine.

This guy's combat power far surpassed that of a normal person. With his strength alone, he could probably fight ten, even a hundred, men.

Of course, I wasn't sure how things would play out if firearms were involved.

"And look here!" Vixi said, spreading the man's palm open.

The steel pen had caused a gash on the man's hand.

However, the bleeding had stopped, and the wound was slowly healing.

"Did you see that?" Vixi exclaimed, bordering on madness. "These are born warriors! They are obedient, follow orders, possess immense strength, terrifying speed, and such incredible regenerative abilities!"

"If we can control an army like this!" Vixi stood up. "Lu Zi Ye, if you agree, we can work together. We can possess such a powerful force, and we can make the entire world tremble at our feet!"

"Well said," I said, taking a deep breath. "Don't say it again."

"You're not willing?" Vixi stared at me. "Why aren't you willing?"

I spread my hands, remaining silent.

"Don't tell me it's for some damn justice! You lived on that deserted island for so long; you should know that the rules of the mortal world cannot restrain us!" Vixi declared loudly. "If we can become gods ourselves, why should we care about what others think?"

"It's not that I care much about others' thoughts; I simply feel that I should survive!" I said.

"Don't joke! Don't joke!" Vixi shouted. "With the two of us united, do you think anyone would dare to stop you from surviving?"

"Like you?" I said with a smile. "To be honest, I don't believe you and I am unwilling to take that risk..."

"You! You!" Vixi's face contorted with rage again. "If you refuse to hand over the item, I will keep sending people to kill you!"

"Feel free to try!" I said with a cold laugh.

"You scoundrel!" Vixi roared, but due to the immense distance between us, he could only rage ineffectually.

"Today's conversation was unpleasant. Let's end it here," I said coldly.

Before I could finish speaking, the giant sphere flickered again, and the image began to blur.

"Wait, wait! Let's talk more!" Vixi shouted.

But the image had already vanished.

The giant sphere continued to rotate in mid-air. While I didn't understand how I could communicate with Vixi in this way, I suspected it was another effect of the Shepherd God's power.

After all, in this place, even satellite phones were useless, yet I could conduct a video call.

It was utterly absurd.

Glancing around, I felt there was nothing else here. Just as I was about to turn and leave, the giant sphere flickered again.

I quickly looked at the sphere, fearing it might explode.

If it exploded, it would be truly troublesome.

As I enveloped myself in the Shepherd God's power, preparing for whatever might happen, I was surprised to see the giant sphere slowly dissolve, then fall to the ground like mud.

I walked over, frowning. It was still the Shepherd God's power, but it had transformed into a mud-like substance.

"What is going on?" I looked at the substance before me, momentarily confused.

Just as I was pondering, I suddenly noticed the mud emitting a dazzling light, instantly dyeing everything around it a pale green...
