Ye Hui Hun?
A chill suddenly ran down my spine. Though I didn't know what this term meant, it sounded incredibly troublesome.
Qu Xiangyun was also bewildered, but after confirming, Xivier plopped down on a stone stool, looking at us both with a playful expression.
"Have you ever heard of Yin Bing Jie Dao?"
Xivier didn't play coy, and spoke to us with a heavy voice: "So-called Ye Hui Hun, is caused by a special magnetic field generated by a specific terrain. When certain conditions are met, it begins to replay past events! Those caught in it can only follow along. If they try to exit, they will be crushed into dust!"
Xivier's explanation completely confused me. Wasn't this just a mirage?
According to her, we were in danger?
Seeing our bewildered expressions, Xivier didn't waste time. She took out a bag of biscuits from her backpack, walked to the edge of the pavilion, and threw them with all her might in the direction we came from.
The biscuits drew a perfect arc in the air, and before they even landed, they slowly turned into flying ash!
This was beyond my imagination. Was there truly a path of no return?
"We can only keep moving forward until this Ye Hui Hun ends. As time passes, the area of Ye Hui Hun will shrink until it abruptly stops at a certain point."
Isn't this like playing a battle royale, where the safe zone shrinks and you have to keep moving?
Just then, before everyone's eyes, the dark silhouette reappeared.
From afar, I hadn't dared to confirm, but now that it was so close, I immediately recognized the figure as Su Yunran!
This dark silhouette of Su Yunran seemed to be chased by something and fell to the ground.
Then, it hastily got up and ran towards the courtyard.
The shadow slowly faded, and I felt a sense of foreboding.
The traps and mutated animals along the way had already given us a hard time.
And this was for our well-equipped team.
Su Yunran was just an ordinary person. If he plunged into this mysterious courtyard that looked anything but inviting, how could he possibly survive?!
My heart was heavy, but a sliver of hope remained. It wasn't impossible that Su Yunran had survived and was waiting for us somewhere inside.
Now that we were in the midst of Ye Hui Hun, we didn't know when the circle would shrink and crush us to dust. So, we didn't dare to delay. We left the pavilion and advanced towards the courtyard.
I originally thought that the courtyard was already stunning just from the outside, but upon entering, we discovered a whole new world within.
Inside, every five steps we took, we saw a statue. The craftsmanship was so delicate and precise, it could only be described as masterful. If these statues were taken to the outside world, they could easily fetch hundreds of millions at auction. Kuaishu Ge
As we stepped into the courtyard, the dark silhouettes would occasionally appear before our eyes. Some looked like artisans, constantly moving in front of the statues. Others looked like children, crawling on the ground, and one even passed through my leg.
When the shadow passed through my body, I felt a surge of coldness in the contact area, followed by numbness. It was a most unpleasant sensation!
Damn it, these shadows were really like ghosts, filled with Yin energy!
I cursed inwardly, and suddenly saw Qu Xiangyun trying to touch a shadow again. I quickly grabbed her hand, preventing this suicidal act.
"Don't touch it! Watch carefully, observe them closely."
We continued to move deeper. Along the way, we encountered even more shadows. I observed a fact that sent shivers down my spine: as time passed, the shadows, which were originally blurry, gradually began to gain details!
Initially, they were just faint outlines, but now their features were starting to appear. I surmised that before long, we might even be able to see what these people looked like!
The power of this Ye Hui Hun was terrifying, capable of temporarily pulling three modern people like us back to that indescribable, lost civilization of over ten thousand years ago!
We continued to press on. After passing a cluster of small houses, a colossal sound of water suddenly reached us from ahead!
We quickened our pace and saw a shocking waterfall before us!
The source of the waterfall above was completely indiscernible.
It seemed to flow directly from the dome. Beside the waterfall was a stone staircase that passed through the waterfall and extended to an unknown destination.
I originally wanted to find a way to test it, but under the pressure of time, we couldn't afford to think too much. We could only steel ourselves and ascend the stone stairs.
The spray from the waterfall splashed onto the stone stairs and then onto our faces.
The icy sensation invigorated my spirit.
We ascended along the stone stairs while the water flowed down. In a daze, I suddenly felt a sense of moving against the current.
I must admit, it was a truly peculiar sensation. If not for the circumstances, it would have been a remarkable life experience!
However, before I could savor the feeling for long, after rounding the curtain of water, another dark silhouette appeared not far from us.
And unlike the other shadows, this one, upon seeing us, rapidly ran towards us!
