Chapter 101: An assembly on their verdict

Chapter 101: An assembly on their verdict

Andria’s POV

"The air felt weird between you and the Alpha successors today. What is happening between you four?" Liara teased.

"Nothing, except that they are just being their typical selves. We are meant to be reading, not discussing the Alpha successors," I sharply reprimanded her.

I wasn’t comfortable discussing my mates, especially not now that it seems like we weren’t getting along like before.

Their attitude towards me today was off, even from the laboratory to the sick bay; maybe it was because they assumed I was avoiding them.

But why am I this worried about their attitude towards me?, They have always been snobbish individuals, and I really don’t like them as my mates.

"Are you trying to convince yourself that the mate pull doesn’t bother you, or are you suffering from the thought that they may reject us. I don’t want them to reject us," Athena weened softly.

"Ari, you don’t always have to get defensive whenever your mates are talked about," Liara mumbled, shrugging my shoulders, before turning back to her books.

Michaela watched from the corner of her eyes, chuckling at Liara’s response. I was about to ask her what was so funny, but she cut me off.

"You are a mate to the Alpha successors?.. Like the three of them?, I thought that was just an unverified rumor," Michaela blurted with her eyes open in a dramatic way.

"I thought that was a sick joke too when Becca told me, but that was true," Liara replied to Michaela, even though I wasn’t even there.

"Ok, I’m still here, at least have the decency to let me leave you to discuss me," I spoke up.

"Besides Michaela, are you friends with us to verify rumors?" I teased her, a slow smirk curling up my face.

Her smile faded instantly, then she turned to look at me. Seeing the smirk on my face, she burst out laughing.

I soon joined in, and Liara too. "You guys distract me. I want to read, exams are fast approaching," I warned.

"But the elections have to go first. Besides Aria, you are a smart one. I doubt you will fail any exams," Liara teased.

"You can’t be so sure I wouldn’t fail any exams, we haven’t been read..." I started to talk, and suddenly our phone chimed.

Michaela and Liara bent to search their phones immediately, ignoring what I was about to say. I rolled my eyes and went back to reading.

"Look, Aria," Liara said, passing her phone to me. "There will be a general assembly concerning Tracy and Larissa’s involvement with the vampires.

Whoops!, That was fast. Kaelric must have discovered that most of the compelled staff have regained their senses and decided to proceed with the motion regarding Tracy and Larissa’s verdict.

"I really feel for them now," Liara said, a slight pitiful look appearing on her face.

"Me too, I feel sorry for them," Michaela added.

What were they feeling sorry for?, Larissa wanted to kill me, while Tracy would go through any means to see me mistreated, provided she wins the election.

I don’t feel sorry for any of them; they deserve whatever was coming for them, especially Larissa.

"You look lost in thought, you aren’t saying anything," Liara said, waving her phone and hand at me.

"What do you expect me to say or do?" I asked her. "I’m neither excited for whatever goes on with them, nor sad or pitiful for them. Therefore, I don’t know how to react to this news."

"Ari, you don’t have to be so mean," Michaela said in a low tone.

"Am I mean?" I turned to face Michaela, "You don’t know half of what I have faced from those two that I didn’t even deserve."

"Michaela, you don’t know Aria; therefore, you don’t have to be so quick to blurt out words," Liara added, and for the first time, I breathed, knowing that Liara was still at my side.

"Sorry for being too forward, please tell me what happened between you and Larissa and Tracy," Michaela apologized.

"On a different occasion, I wouldn’t want to tell you anything because of how you just spoke to me, but looking at you, maybe you just need to know some things," I stated firmly.

She gave me a cute face and then hung her face low. "You don’t have to look sad. I’ve forgiven your outburst."

A cute, small smile formed on her face and the expression forced a smile to my face.

"Tracy had never liked me since I set foot into this academy. She attacks me verbally and sometimes physically at any chance she gets.

I never knew why until I found out that she was a bully, and I happened to be the first victim to ever stand up to her and her little minions," I exhaled and continued.

"On one occasion, when the Alpha successors and Zade accosted me in the restroom, nothing serious, just a minor altercation between me and Zade and the Alpha successors intervened.

Tracy and her minions took pictures of the Alpha successors and me coming out of the restroom and tagged me the school whore.

As if that were not enough, I decide to contest for elections, she also decides to, and suddenly, after we had an altercation, I’m abducted, and every wolf in school thinks I framed Tracy.

Tracy has a way of compelling the whole school, turning them against me. I was bullied on many occasions because of her spell. Now, tell me if you were me, how would you find this news regarding Tracy?"

I paused and exhaled again; her face was wearing a huge frown and a hint of guilt now. She looked like she was about to tear Tracy apart.

"And Larissa...hmm. Larissa, my apartment mate, used to be my friend; I was friends with both her and her childhood friend Mel, who happened to be my other apartment mate.

But things between us started to get weird after the night Zade, whom she had a huge crush on, brought me back home with the Alpha successors, after a massive attack in the woods.

It got worse when she found out he was also my mate to the extent of planning my death. So you see why I sounded like that earlier." I finished.

Michaela had a bewildered expression on her face when I finished, and I knew she either had a lot of questions to ask or things to say.
